PART 3

Everyone was waiting for Riddhima's answer and she was petrified about what she was about to do...

R: Theek hai mein ayungi.

Armaan was speechless. He couldn't believe that Riddhima gave in so quickly to Jai.

J: Yeh hui na baat! Dekha Anjie meri Riddhima kabhi mujhe na kar hi nahi sakti!
An: Haan haan, ab tum dono mil gaye ho toh na thodi na karegi?!

Armaan had turned his hand into a fist. The only words that he could hear were "meri meri meri." He knew that something had to be done.

A: Uh actually Angie, mujhe lagta hai ke mujhe bhi ana chahiye. Afterall hamari pehli Holi hai saath mein. To mazaa ayega.

Armaan looked at Jai to see what his reaction would be but Jai was busy looking at Riddhima and whispering something in her ear. His eyes turned crimson as if he was going to commit murder. Just then Armaan was interrupted with a familiar voice!

Nana: Hey doctor party! Kaisa hai sab kuch?!
At: Dekho Nana, maine tumhe tumhara saara khaana de diya. Ab mujhe chodo.
N: Arre fikar mat kar tu. Main khane ke liye nahi ayaa hoon. Main apne Ranjha se baat karne ayaa hoon. Aye apple! Idhar aa!

Armaan walks over to where Nana is.

N: Aye tere chehre pe baara kyun bajje hain? Bulbul ke saath phir se lafda hua kya. Tune mujhe lafde ke baare mein bataya toh nahi, lekin tere chehre se sab kuch maaloom par jaata hai. Aur yeh Bulbul ke saath kaun chipak ke behtha hai?
A: Uski bachchpan ka dost. South Africa se lot kar aya hai.
N: Dost? Arre yeh to aise chipak ke baitha hai jaise koi usko utha ke le jayega! Sach mein bolu toh yeh bulbul ka koi purana aashiq lagta hai. BULBUL KA BICHDA HUA BULBUL. 😆
A: Aisa nahi hai Nana. Tujhe pata hai ke Riddhima aisi ladki nahi hai. Woh mujhe aur sirf mujhe pyar karti hai. Aur kisi se nahi. Lekin pataa nahi ye kahan se tappak pada. Agar mera bas chale na, toh mein use dhakke maar maar ke maar maar ke yahan se bahar fenk deta.
N: Dekh tu bahut zyaada gussa ho raha hai. Achcha ise chod. Maaze ki baat bataun? Tune mujhe kaha tha na bhaang Holi par laane ke liye? Mein le aaya. Ab kaun kinta piye ga kaise piye ga ye teri zimidaari. Theek hai? Chal, Bulbul ke bichde hue Bulbul se meri introduction karade!

Armaan takes Nana to Jai.

A: Hey Jai this is Nana. MERA AUR RIDDHIMA KA PATIENT. MEANING HAMARA-ME AND RIDDHIMA.
N: Chountees filme aur paintees naatak ka experience hai mere ko! Aap kaha se tappak pade-mera matlab hai kaha se aye hain?
J: South Africa se. Mein Riddhima ka dost hoon-bachpan ka dost. Aur ab se main bhi apka doctor hoon.
A: (angrily) Tumhara matlab kya hai?
J: (smiles) Dr. Keerti ne mujhe Riddhima ke saath rehne ko kaha hai. Isi bahane hum time spend karenge saath mein. Kyun koi problem hai?
A: Problem? Mujhe kya problem ho sakti hai? Lekin shayad tum jaante nahi ke mere aur Riddhima ke patients same hai.
J: Oh toh koi baat nahi. Mein Dr. Keerti se kahunga ke Riddhima ko koi aur patients de diye jai. Waise bhi yeh hospital toh Dr. Shashank chalate hain aur mein unka apna jo hoon. Tumhe koi taklif nahi ho ni chahiye. Tum bahar wale ho. Tum akele kaam kar sakte ho na?
A: (infuriated) Tum shayad meri baat samaj nahi paye. Mein aur Riddhima ek saath kaam karte hain. Tumhe koi aur nahi mila "shadow" karne ke liye? Aur ye apna aur bahar wala kya hota hai? Tum Dr. Shashank ke kya lagte ho?
J: (laughing) Nahi. Mujhe aur koi nahi mila. Lekin shayad tumhe koi miljaye. Aur haan Dr. Shashank mujhe "beta" kehke bulate hain. Ab tumhe jo samajna he samjho. (walks away)

Armaan walks behind him as if he is about to say something but is stopped by Nana. All this time, Nana is watching and is amazed at how angry Armaan got at the smallest thigs Jai said.
A: Dekha Nana, kaisa batameez hai ye.
N: Mein ise pasand karta hoon. Is mein kuch toh hai. Aye sun tu meri baat. Dekh, maine tujhe kaha tha na ke Bulbul ke saath koi lafda nahi hona chahiye? Kaha tha na?
A: Haan kaha tha.
N: Toh phir ab kyun roh raha hai?
A: Nana, main Riddhima ko kisi bhi halat mein khona nahi chahta!
N: Khone ke baad tu yeh kehraha hai? Pehle kud galti karo, phir mujhe bulao. Tu lucky hai kyunki chountees filme aur paintees naatak ka experience hai mere ko! Ab sochna band kar aur mujhe sochne de. Yeh tujpe bhaari toh padega. Bulbul ko bachpan se jaanta hai. Lekin fikar mat kar. Main hoon na Shah Rukh ki tara! Bulbul teri hogi! Sirf teri! Samjha na?!

Later on in the evening, Anjali and Jai are taking a walk. Riddhima and Jia are getting the Mehra's house suitable for them to move into again. The older siblings got away with doing no work! 😆
J: Hey Anjie. I want to ask you something. Yeh Armaan mujhe kuch theek nahi laga.
A: What do you mean? Usne kuch kaha kya?
J: Nahi kaha nahi lekin woh mere aur Riddhima ki nazdikiyaan se khush nahi hai. Well, aise lagta toh nahi.
A: Thats strange. Tumhe pata hai ke woh dono ek dusre se kitna ladte hai? Oh my God, its unbearable and sometimes very embarrassing.
J: I dont know Anjie. (talking softly to himself) Lekin kuch toh hai us Armaan ke bare mein. Aur mein pata karke rahunga ke use mujhse kyun itni takleef ho rahi hai.

PART 4

The next morning, preparations were in full swing at Sanjeevani! The basketball court behind the hospital had been decorated with red and white cloth hanging for the top of the court. There were big drums of colored water and pichkaris. And there were a multitude of different powdered colors! Pink, blue, yellow, orange, red, green, purple...all of the colors were there. In one corner was a table filled with several glasses for water and bhaang and boxes of ladoos. The hospital staff and patients were all coming into the court to play holi.

Armaan, Nana and Shubhankar walked in at the same time to make sure that everything was ok. Shubhankar went to make sure that everything was set up properly.
A: Nana, main kaise dikta hoon?
N: Kaisa matlab?
A: Riddhima mujhe in kapdro mein pasand karegi na?
N: Kyun nahi karegi? Hrithik Roshan jaisa lag raha hai tu! Fikar mat kar. Sab theek hojayega!

As Armaan looked up, he saw her. Dressed in an all white salwaar kameez she looked like an angel. He knew that he had fallen in love with the right woman-the only one meant for him. It was as if they were already one. Everything seemed to stop. Time itself stopped as she walked into the basketball court. All he could do was admire her grace, charm and exquisite beauty. She was one in a million. His eyes saw only her, ears heard only her. His heart beat only for her and his soul existed for her. Armaan knew that God Himself wanted this union and he felt awful for saying a few days earlier that he didnt want this relationship God had given him and blessed him with. How could he be so heartless he thought to himself. How could he hurt such a beautiful creature.

There eyes met and it seemed like Time had truly stopped. Everything stopped and nothing else mattered. Insignificance was all around. The wind blew a strand of hair to her face but she didnt flinch. Her eyes were fixed. Her soul pined only for his. Her heart beat only for his and her body ached only for his touch.

Suddenly...
J: Ridu!
An: Ridzy tum hame chod ke yahan akeli kyun agayi? Holi khelne ka bahut shokh hai kya? Toda sabar nahi kar sakti?

Riddhima thought to herself that if only her sister knew why she couldnt control herself. The emotions, the pining..she couldnt handle it anymore. She knew that she would find solace only in his arms. She would feel loved only with him. She knew that they were meant to be. Nothing else mattered. Their differences, their fights, nothing. He belonged to her, and she belonged to him. Before tears were able to stream down her cheeks, Riddhima composed herself and met up with Jai and Angie.

A: Armaan aur Dr. Shabhankar ne kya tayari ki hai, nai?
R: Haan di. Bahut hi khoobsurat hai.

Shashank came with a microphone to talk to all of the Holi celebrators. He said that he wanted this to be safe Holi and for everyone to have alot of fun! The DJ started playing Holi songs and colors flew everywhere! The sight was magnificent. Amidst all of the beautiful colors, music and happiness, two souls seemed to have lost their way.
