Part 7:
Both reached the Sharma mansion around 12 and were greeted first of all by Josh and Anjali. Josh hugged Angad and then Kripa.
Josh: I missed you so much sis...
Kripa(filled tears): bhai...ek raat mein yeh haal ho gaya hai aapka...saari zindagi kya karoge?
Josh: hey...shayad tumhe pata nahi hai....lekin mamma aur pappa ne mujhe Khanna house jaane se manaa kiya hai jab tak tumhari shaadi ko ek mahina nahi ho jaata....ek mahine ke baad tum mujhe har roz dekh kar thak jaogi..
Anjali: Josh..move out of the way...let me meet my sister and my jiju too...
Josh moved out of the way. Anjali hugged Kripa tight.
Anjali: wow kripa....you are looking like a million bucks in a sari...you should wear it everyday..
Kripa(horrified): EVERYDAY??? ARE YOU KIDDING ME?....I've been wearing this for like 5 hours and its irritating me...i dont know how mamma and them wear it 24/7...it took me more than an hour to get this on...
Anjali: sweety...it doesnt matter what you think...if your husband wants you to wear saris everyday then you will have to because its every wife's duty to fulfill her husband's wishes....
Angad: um actually saali ji...i won't mind western clothes...i told Kripa this morning also..but she wanted to wear saris for a few days..
Anjali: awwwwwwww you are so considerate already.....kripa ne koi jaadu kiya kya?
Josh: jaadu? matlab?
Anjali: Kripa has some kind of magic in her....everywhere she goes...she attracts men like a magnet...more than 95% of the boys from our class are head over heels for her...
Josh: Anjali...you are not supposed to be saying these things like that..especially when her hubby is around..
Anjali: but you didn't hear the whole thing yet...Kripa has never looked at any man like that...she is too much of a good girl...
A car suddenly came to halt right behind Angad's. A tall, well built man stepped out of it. Seeing him, Anjali's face went red while Kripa had a smile on her face. Angad and Josh seemed the most happy to see him there.
Angad: Dhruv!!!!!
Dhruv came forward and hugged Angad and Josh... They all walked over to Kripa and Anjali.
Dhruv(shyly): hey anjali...
Anjali(shyly): Hey dhruv...how have you been?
Dhruv: good..(dhruv's gaze fell on Kripa) Hey gorgeous...you Anju's friend?
Kripa: um..make that best friend Mr.Dhruv Kapoor...
Dhruv: whoa...no one calls me Mr.Dhruv Kapoor except for...
Anjali: Kripa....thats her.
Dhruv: oh wow...you are one gorgeous woman i must say even though i've just talked to you on the phone. So now that i know you...what are you doing this evening...how about a movie?
Anjali and josh laughed hard while Dhruv gave them a "what's wrong with you?" look.
Josh: Oh man dhruv...you are dead meat...Angad is going to kill you for saying that to her..
Dhruv: oh...im sorry..i didnt know you were taken...so...Angad's girlfriend?
Angad(went and stood beside Kripa): No...Not my girlfriend...my wife.
Dhruv(wide eyes): You WIFE? You got married?? WHEN? how come i don't know about this??
Angad, josh told Dhruv the whole story while walking into the house while kripa and Anjali walked behind them talking about the usual random stuff. All went inside and were greeted by gayatri and suryaban. After lunch, They sat around and talked for a while. Josh, Angad and Dhruv decided to step out for "boys' time alone". Kripa and Anjali went to prepare dinner.
Anjali: so tell me...kal raat kya hua? usne kuch try to nahi kiya na?
Kripa told Anjali about her night with Angad.
Anjali: Kripa...you are very lucky...you have a really caring and understanding husband...varna ajj kal ke ladke i tell you......usse chodna mat..pakad ke rakh...
Kripa blushed as she smiled. Both girls finished cooking dinner while chatting non-stop. Angad, josh, and Dhruv came back around 7:30. Everyone had dinner together and chatted some more until 10:00.
Suryaban: Kripa...beta i think ab tumhe chalna chahiye....bahut raat ho gayi hai...mein nahi chahta ki tum dono itni raat ko akele travel karo..
Josh: haan Kripa....tumhe jaana chahiye..
Everyone got up to leave Kripa, Angad and Dhruv to their cars. Dhruv went his way while Angad and Kripa went the other way. Gayatri and Suryaban felt lonely again as their bubbly daughter left the house.
Angad: Kripa..can I ask you something....about Anjali...
Kripa: sure...but only if you let me ask you about Dhruv...
Angad: alright...um...does Anjali like....like dhruv?
Kripa(wide eyes): Does Dhruv like Anjali? that was my question...
Angad: ok hold on....im not supposed to say anything but i think we're on the same page here...um.....Dhruv Likes Anjali for a long time...i wouldn't even say like...he is well in love wit her...now that he found out that Anjali's best friend is my wife...he wanted me to investigate..
Kripa: Anjali is in love with him as well...she wants me to investigate..especially after I told her about our friendship-relationship.
Angad: ok so dhruv and Anjali are both in love with each other..
Kripa: neither of them know each other's feelings..
Angad: we shouldn't tell them about the other's feelings..
Kripa: it would be more special if they confessed it themselves..
Angad: right.
Kripa: Right.
After that conversation there was pretty much silence throughout the rest of the drive. Kripa was looking out of the window trying to think of a topic to talk about. But soon drifted to sleep. When they reached home, Angad realized that she was in deep sleep. he did not want to wake her up and he didn't know how she would react if he carried her into the house. So he just sat there and leaned on his head rest. after a couple of minutes, Kripa realized that the car had stopped. She jerked out of her sleep and sat of striaght and ran her fingers through her hair. Angad was looking at her after her jerk. he wondered if she had a bad dream.
Kripa: You should have woke me up...you didn't have to sit around here..
Angad: you were sleeping so peacefully and i thought you must be tired from all these hectic days..
Angad and Kripa both walked into the house. Everyone was dead asleep so Angad and Kripa tiptoed their way to their room. Kripa went to the bathroom to change. When she came out, she saw Angad already asleep on the couch. She felt sudden guilt rush to her. He was doing so much for her. She wasn't doing even half of it. He cared for her so much. Made sure she was comfortable at Khanna House, comfortable with him. He even chose to sleep on the awfully unfortable couch for her. She decided to talk to him about not sleeping on the couch in the morning. For some reason, in one night, Kripa had gained full trust in Angad. She had a strong feeling that he would never try anything unless she was ready for it.
