Part 12:
ON THE DAY OF DHRUV-ANJALI ENGAGEMENT:
Kripa was sitting at her dresser getting ready while Angad came in rushing in his maroon coloured sherwani looking for something.
Kripa: are you looking for something?
Angad: um yea....have you seen the present we got for Dhruv and Anjali....
Kripa: its in the drawer on your side of the bed, under your novel.
Angad: thanks...
Angad went to the drawer and looked in the spot Kripa had described. He looked at the wrapped box and smiled.
Angad: thanks...
He looked up and saw Kripa standing behind in a maroon lehenga with white bead work all over it. She had on matching jewlery. She had her mangalsutra on and a skinny sinddor trail in her 'maang'. Her waist long hair's ends were tickling her skinny waist. She looked just like an angle who stepped onto the earth from the heaven. Kripa was looking at him awstrck as well. The colour of his sherwani in a complete contrast to his fair skin. His hair was gelled. Angad started cutting the distance slowly while Kripa moved back nervously. At last Angad had her against the wall with his body leaning on hers. Both faces were mere inches part. Kripa looked into his eyes and a sudden rush of passion aroused in her heart. Both moved they heads closer and allowed their lips to meet. Kripa leaned her body against Angad's while he held her secured by her waist. The kiss kept growing intense by every second. Kripa's hands made their way around Angad's neck. Kripa parted her lips slightly to allow Angad to invade and he did just that. His tounge wandered in all corners of her mouth. Neither wanted to stop. Everything felt so right, nothing was out of place. The weather, the moment, the kiss, the passion, everything seemed perfectly right. Both parted after about 10 minutes of endless, unknown passion. They rested their foreheads against each others and tried to catch their breath. When Kripa opened her eyes, she figured Angad's eyes were already awaiting hers to meet. Suddenly, Angad's face caught a fearful expression.
Angad(in his mind): oh crap...what did you do? you let lust take over you....how could you do this to her...you were just beginning to fall for her but now everything will be ruined...it took more than two months for our relationship to get to a comfortable level and now you ruined it all...she is going to hate you for this...
Angad's expression however faded when he saw a blush appear on Kripa's pretty face followed by a faint smile, She gently pushed herself away from him and ran out of the room shying away and blushing like anything. Angad stood still, ran his fingers through his hair, and followed after her. Everyone had arrived, Dhruv and Anjali were seated in elegant decorated chairs. Kripa and Aliyah whished the new couple first and stood by their side for moral support. Angad and Josh came to wish them. Kripa remembered the incident with Angad a few minutes ago and blushed.
Anjali: Angad, Josh...thanks so much...for everything...
Josh: Anjali..we told you....we are like your brothers right?
Angad: so dont say thank you to us....brothers can do anything to bring their sister happiness....
Anjali: can I ask you for something else?
Angad and josh nodded innocently
Anjali: this ceremony is kind of dead...can you light it up please? how about some dancing..
Josh: woah sis....anything but that..
Angad: no dancing....please.....
Aliyah: Oh c'mon....you say you are her brothers and all....can't even dance for her?
Angad and Josh quickly walked away to avoid dancing.

Kripa whispered them the "plan". Angad and Josh had reached the center of the room when music started playing.

In the last stanza, the guys were twirling the girls around. At the end of the song, All coupled got extremly close to each other. Angad and Kripa's eyes met when the song came to an end. Both remembered the kiss again and blushed.
Angad(in his mind): I have to apologize to her for doing that...but i couldn't control myself....it felt so perfect......
Anjali: guys......one more song...please???? Kripa...come here i have a song idea....
Kripa(teasingly): Anju..i dont think the guys are up for this...they look tired...

Everyone had fun during these two songs. Then finally came the moment for Dhruv and Anjali to exchange their rings. First Dhruv slipped on a diamond ring on Anjali, and in return, Anjali placed a large diamond solitaire on his ring finger. Dhruv couldn't control his happiness and placed his lips over Anjali's. Josh and Aliyah "aww"-ed while Angad and Kripa looked at each other immediately. Both took a few steps towards each other to cut the distance. Just as Angad reached Kripa, His cell rang. Angad cursed his cell in his mind for always ringing at the wrong time. He reluctantly went to attend the cell phone. Kripa felt a bit disappointed but she went to Anjali and Dhruv to congratulate them.
Kripa: Congratulations.....So...Mr.Dhruv Kapoor.....you mind if i call you Jiju?
dhruv: Of course.....ab to aapka haq banta hai saali jee....woh kya hai.....ab aapne ye haq le hi liya hai...to kum se kum mujhe ek hug to dedo...
Kripa: Anju....mere jiju ko thoda sambhal kar rakhna...lagta hai flirt karne ki aadat nahi gayi abhi tak...
Dhruv: Are....kyun bhai....aap ne mujhe jiju kaha hai na.....apko pata nahi? saali bhi to akhir adhi gharwaali hoti hai..
Angad suddenly appeared and put a protective arm around Kripa.
Angad: Dhruv...mere biwi ko chod...apni biwi ki taraf dekh.....gusse se uska chehra laal ho raha hai......aur agli baar meri biwi ki taraf dekha na to...
Dhruv: to kya??????
Angad: to kya? kuch nahi.....de dunga tumhe...waise bhi mujhe bahut pareshaan karti hai ye...
Kripa pretended angry at his comment and pushed his arm off of her shoulder.
Kripa: accha?? Bahut parehsaan karti hoon mein?? theek hai..koi aisi dundh lo jo tumhe pareshaan na kare....mein chali..ok? BYE!
Kripa kept pretending angry as she walked off. Angad thought she was actually angry at his comments...
Anjali(teasing): Ab jao jiju...manao apni biwi ko....itna asaan nahi hai Kripa ko manana........good luck..
Angad: Oh great......!
Angad looked around the room but couldn't find her. Kripa had been making her way around the hall while hiding from Angad to tease him. At last Angad saw her heading upstairs to their room and he went right after her. Kripa was setting her dupatta properly when Angad came in.
Angad: kripa....I'm sorry...i didn't mean to...
Kripa: you didn't mean to what??
Angad: whatever i said downstairs....i didnt mean it...
Kripa: You dont have to tell me.......i know that.....i was just pretending angry angad.....
Angad: oh...well......ok.......😕
Kripa giggled and walked up to him.
Kripa: Angad...tum itne pareshaan kyun ho jaate ho?? Aliyah ne bataya tha na tumhe..mein aisi baaton ko seriously nahi leti....i can take friendly jokes...
Angad: I dont know Kripa...i just...dont like you being upset about anything
Kripa(pinching his cheek): Its because you are a sweetheart....and who said i was upset?
Angad: Kripa...i actually wanted to apologize for what happened before the engagement.....i.....i shouldnt have kissed you like that...
Kripa looked down to avoid his stare. She knew he was observing every single gesture that she presented. She bit her lip to supress the blush that was taking over her cheeks. She finally managed to put together a sentence to throw back at him.
Kripa: Angad...i never said I was upset about that...
Angad: Kripa...just because you didnt say it...it doesnt mean that you are not upset about it..
Kripa: well im not upset about it...does that make you feel better??
Angad took her hand and locked it between his. He walked her to the bed and sat her down while he kneeled in front of her, still holding her hand.
Angad: Kripa...i need to tell you something....
Kripa: I am all ears.
Angad: We both know how we got into this relationship. I know it took us a long time to get so comfortable with each other. i don't want to spoil it...but i can't keep this anymore....you have to know this...
Angad looked at Kripa who was staring at him with a very interested look. She had a faint smile on her face as if she knew what he was about to say. Of course she knew. She felt it everytime he touched her. She sensed it everytime he looked at her. She knew he liked her as much as she liked him then why was it that neither could convey their feelings to each other? Is it not in their destiny to confess their feelings right now?
Angad: Kripa......I..
