Naina was standing between two tents, frozen as she watched the two. Voices argueing brought her back to her senses, and to her horror, the other two as well. She fumbled for an explanation of why she was watching them that wouldn't make him think that she was lame and foolish.

Rajveer on the other hand was thinking exactly the opposite. A look of extreme gratitude washed over his face that Nandini didn't fail to notice, strengthening her suspicions.

Both Naina and Rajveer couldn't help but think back to a very similar occasion during the mentorship programme. Memories of Rajveer and Ritu in the woods as she confessed her love, and Naina interrupting it, came back to them. Naina thought back to that night when Rajveer had told her that he was in love with someone, laughing it off, while Rajveer recollected her saying that whoever it was would be very lucky.

"Uhm..." Nandini broke the silence with a soft cough. "Are Cadets Sahani and 'just Aalekh' argueing?" Naina did a slight motion like a nod and rushed towards the tent, relieved to get out of that awkward situation. Surely enough, Aalekh and Yudi were in a heated arguement about the device.

"-ust want to have a look... I'm sure Captain Rajveer would allow it!" Yudi said strongly. Aalekh was about to hit him on the back of his head, but dropped his raised hand when he saw the wound. He was still in his dilemma about Abhimanyu; if something happened to him, he would never be able to forgive himself for abandoning his mentor in the encounter at the hill.

"Saala Nautanki... if it was that safe to have a look at it, then Captain Sir would've done it already."

"Are you two forgetting that Captain Abhimanyu is right in the next tent and that device could capture whatever you're yelling out, completely ruining any chance we have?!" Naina whispered fiercely.

"Cadet Singh is right. And I've been thinking about that chip, and I think Cadet Sahani should have a look at it... if it is a tracing or eavesdropping device, they wouldn't be able to detect the minor changes if you are in the same place as Captain Abhimanyu. It's not a camera, that I'm sure of. The wriring is completely different." Rajveer explained.

"So let's go then..." Yudi jumped up, eager as his dilemma was about to be solved. Seeing Aalekh, Naina and Nandini ready to go as well, Rajveer stopped them by raising his hand.

"If there are too many people, there'll be too much noise. Only one person should go with Cadet Sahani... I'll go, because I have quite a lot of experience about these devices."

"Raj, you're-" Nandini was about to begin saying when Naina cut her off.

"Sir a lot has passed over you today... you must be tired. Don't you think it's better to handle this situation when the mind is refreshed, rather than try to put up with all this with your mind completely exhausted? Plus... I'm sure Captain Nandini has knowledge about these too..." she looked at Nandini, who was listening to all this with a small smile. Her dilemma, the thick fog between her and the reality here was finally starting to clear away.

"Yes, exactly Cadet Singh. You're absolutely correct." She answered, with a knowing glint in her eyes as she copied her friend's way of talking. Rajveer sensed what was going on and cleared his throat.

"Fine, Yudi and Nandini can go. I'll take a walk outside... fresh air is the best remedy for me."

"Yeah - fresh air and a romantic date!" Nandini muttered to herself, but unfortunately Aalekh heard it.

Next, we see Rajveer walking absent mindedly, pausing to lean against a tree with closed eyes as let go of all his thoughts. A small smile appeared when memories of a certain young Naina 'Ah' Singh swam in his mind. He was so caught up in thoughts about her that he didn't register the pair of feet approaching him, with the owner of those feet clutching a gun tightly.

Another pair of feet approach Rajveer from the opposite direction. This time he notices the crackling of the leaves nearby, and stands up straight, tensed. This sudden movement alerts the first person and he quickly raises the gun and pulls the trigger.

Nandini and Naina, both of whom were coming to find him witnessed this and screamed out, "Raj!" "Sir!" at the same time, breaking into a run.

Somewhere in the same forest, Gehlot is shown listening to something intently, when suddenly he hears a faint gunshot and vague screams of 'Raj' and 'Sir'. His expression dropped and suddenly an extreme rage took over. He rushed over to another computer, snatching away one of the headphones and microphone.

"What did you do?! You fool! Don't tell me you shot Raj instead of capturing him!" He added a few more swear words before waiting for the reply.

"Sir woh... I - he suddenly... I sh-shot h-him..." a man's face is shown with wired devices around his ear, expression full of fear and desperately trying to explain the situation.

"I told you that he shouldn't be harmed!" Gehlot yelled into the microphone, who meekly tried to offer an explanation again, but his boss kept on swearing. The camera is frozen on Gehlot's angry and despearte face.

Precap - Abhimanyu, Nandini and Rajveer are pointing their guns at Gehlot, when suddenly he points his gun at Naina.

Rajveer and Naina are standing literally against each other, almost every part of their bodies touching. She looks up at him uncertainly, and drops her eyes shyly as she sees his unwavering gaze.

"Ge-get them!" Rajveer panted, holding his bleeding arm which he used to shield his chest from the bullet. He started running as well, but nearly tripped because of a root, and Naina steadied him. Nandini had already caught the man who shot Rajveer, but the other one got away. She dragged and threw him over to the cadets, who tied him up instantly along with the other goons a bit far from their camp.

"Stop acting like you're deathly injured and start doing your job as an Army Captain!" she ordered Rajveer. Naina and the other remaining cadets glared at her, but stopped in shock when they both broke out into laughter.

"What's going on? Tell me about it too..." Abhimanyu joined them. He had taken out the device and put it near Colonel Chandra's bed, who was snoring slightly.

"Raj here got injured... again. Only God and he knows how he can be such an injury-prone person, being one of the best cadets of KMA and such a high standard Army Officer!" Nandini replied.

"I wasn't injury-prone. It was because of the three of you, who usually put me through the dangerous jobs that I was wounded so many times!" Rajveer calmly defended himself, almost becoming that cadet who loved to have fun and play pranks with his friends. A fun and sporty music surrounds the scene in the background.

"If you don't remember my friend, you were the one who volunteered for those jobs! The time we planned to have a party on top of the hill, you came forward immediately to do the transporting..." Abhimanyu threw back, exchanging smirks with Nandini as flashbacks of the party planning are shown.

"Yeah! And after you fell off with the appliances, you had to stay at the infirmary for so long! The hardworking and dedicated Cadet Shekhawat, lying in bed for two weeks without anything to accomplish!" Nandini said dramatically, and again flashbacks of those moments are shown.

"And if YOU TWO don't remember, I volunteered only because Naveen tricked me into doing so... I didn't fall either; I clearly remember Josh and Chauhan Saab getting into a fight, which ended up in both of them pushing me!" The cadets were now staring open mouthed at their teacher. Most of them had never even imagined it was possible for him to be tricked or being pushed off a mountain. Seeing their reactions, Rajveer grinned.

"I was once a cadet too you know. We all went through things similar to what you guys have! So shall we go now?" He indicated towards the clearing. When they had all started heading back, a voice stopped them. It was the voice that haunted them for the past 24 hours.

"Not yet Raj." said Gehlot, standing so still that one could easily mistake him for a statue. His muscles were very tensed, and he looked like he was having a very difficult time being there. "You're fine..." they heard a barely audible sigh from him. Everyone turned to face Captain Rajveer to see his stony face.

"Disappointed I'm still alive?" he asked sarcastically.

"Sarcasm or hostility doesn't suit you at all Raj."

"No, and the image you've been putting on in front everyone including me doesn't suit you at all." his eyes were flaming with anger, hurt, betrayal and a small amount of disbelief still. He felt a hand on his shoulder, and turned to see that it was Naina. Her gaze told him she was going to supprt him throughout, and that he didn't have to fight this alone. He nodded slightly to her. Gehlot sees this entire exchange.

By now, Abhimanyu and Nandini had already held their guns at him. Rajveer raised his as well.

"Raj, I know you can kill me if circumstances are such... like you killed your friend, Captain Naveen Singh Ahluwalia. He was foolish enough to fall into my trap, and so were you, till now. No matter, that can be fixed." Gehlot swiftly took out his gun and held it against Naina's temple. "If you don't let my men go and follow my further instructions, your lovely young beautiful mentee will have the same fate as her brother." He took out a vial contaning some kind of a very clear liquid and took off the cork that was sealing it.

None of the three Captains had moved their guns. Rajveer's breath was shallow now, but he calmed himself down and held his composure.

"You three don't seem to recognise this. This is the more fatal version of the poison that was used on Naveen. All three of you had witnessed it when you visited him... only you didn't know its true identity. One drop on the skin, and..." Now, all three of them were shaking slightly.

"Witnessing me being poisoned and still not being able to stop it was very difficult for my dear friends to accept. Not knowing the true nature of the so-called nerve medicine I was being given daily did not stop them from feeling guilty." says Naveen's voiceover, slightly emotional. "Only if they knew that I would never even imagine of holding them responsible to anything that had happened to me, except for my freedom, which Raj has to be given credit for."

"Naveen Bhaiya would have never blamed you, any of you, except for..." Naina left off, turning her head to glare at Gehlot. Now the gun was pointed at the center of her forehead. "Kill me if you want, but even if there was only one more soldier present here, you would never succeed. Here, an entire ARMY is present to stop you. The loss of one soldier would only make them more determined to stop you!"

She was now panting. Her eyes were ablaze, and the intensity of her determination threw Gehlot off a bit.

"There are three guns pointed at you. As soon as you even try to pull the trigger, there will be three holes in your body." Abhimanyu threatened. Gehlot turned to face him, and Naina took the oppurtunity to push his hand upwards, making him pull the trigger. The bullet went up thankfully, but the vial dropped on Naina's arm, spilling out some drops. Rajveer immediately pushed it away with much force, pulling her back from everything that was going on. He knew Gehlot couldn't escape with the army surrounding him.

"It-it just fell on my sleeve..." Naina reassured him and herself shakily. She suddenly realised they were standing against each other, almost each part of their bodeis touching. Her breath quickened as she felt his heartbeat speed up like hers. He was still holding her by the waist. She looked up at him, to lower her eyes soon as she saw his intense gaze on her.

He could feel her warm breath against his neck and felt like losing control. Seeing the shy glance from her, he tried to stop himself but she wrapped an arm uncertainly around his neck, and her touch seemed to encourage him. He decided to make a move. Lifting up her chin, he brought their faces closer as she closed her eyes.

Precap - The cadets and the three Captains are on the bus. Naina keeps glancing at Rajveer, looking away as soon as he noticed. They both smile secretly.

Everyone notices these exchanges and different reactions from each are shown.

"Raj, Naina! Are you two alright?!" Abhimanyu yelled to them. They immediately broke apart, blushing tremendously and looking at anywhere but each other. Rajveer cleared his throat.

"Uhm... yes, we're both fine." he said. He added softly so that only Naina could hear him, "perfectly fine, right Cadet Singh?" Instead of answering him, she gave him a quick glance before nearly running towards into the crowd.

Nandini slapped Abhimanyu very hard on his back. "Why the hell did you disturb them?! He's RAJ for God's sake, if anything happened to him he would know better than anyone else how to handle it... and if something happened to Naina, Raj would obviously take care of it with his best effort! You're such a... urgh!!" she grumbled, shooting deathly glares at him.

"And what if the poison had touched one of them?" he enquired.

"Well wasn't it kind of obvious that they weren't? Would they be so - calm and quiet - if one of them were injured in any serious way?" she asked back. He sighed.

"You've got a point there..." Nandini softened up a bit too.

"Sorry, I guess I overreacted. It's not everyday these days that happiness knocks on his heart's door. But you were just worried about them, and that's what friends are supposed to do..." she smiled.

"So you're not jealous?" he asked with almost a sigh of relief. She raised an eyebrow.

"Should I be?" she asked, then grinned when she saw his alarmed expression. "I'm joking Chauhan! Of course I'm not jealous. He was the one head over heels for me, remember? And whatever he and Naina have is too much stronger than what we had. I'd never try to get in the way of that."

"If you two are done with the philosphies, shall we get working? We've got a very busy day ahead!" Rajveer announced. The two looked at him in surprise and glanced at the sky; indeed, the sun was on the brink of rising. "Come on cadets! Get these men in the bus. It's better if we travel with them; they'll have less chances to escape."

"And I'll go ahead with Nandini and Cadets Begh and Ghai to the lair to get the remaining men." Abhimanyu suggested.

The four left and everyone else got down to work. Colonel Chandra was now awake, still weak but able to move slightly. He was helped towards the jeep by Sai, while Huda, Aalekh and Kamran pushed Gehlot's henchmen along on the way to the bus. Yudi and Naina busied themselves with cleaning up the area and packing their belongings.

Rajveer headed towards the tent were Gehlot was kept, his heart pounding but mind completely focused on his duty. Naina saw him nearing that tent and excused herself. Yudi nodded and smiled understandingly. She jogged to catch up with Rajveer and placed a hand on his shoulder. After all, she had promised that she would support him throughout.

They both entered the tent together. Gehlot was propped up against the wall, both of his hands and feet tied with the 'Highway Hitch' knot, and his mouth sealed with a rag. That was Aalekh's doing; none of the other cadets dared to do this to such an influential person; he was a criminal, but the image of power he had was still imprinted in their minds.

Rajveer bent forward and pulled him up by the arm. This time, Gehlot didn't even try to speak or make any sounds. Rajveer knew it was either because he was exhausted or he was planning something; it was obviously the latter. He wouldn't be the leader of a cult running for decades is he was too weak.

When they reached the bus, everyone bumped 'accidentally' or had some work that meant passing by Gehlot very aggressively. He was placed securely between Aalekh, Huda, and Ali in the middle of the bus. Abhimanyu, Nandini, and Sai were at the front with Kamran driving while Yudi, Pooja, Naina and Rajveer sat at the back. Pooja winked at Naina before sitting behind Ali and Yudi joined her. This left the two alone.

Naina stole a glance at Rajveer. Her breath sped up as she looked away quickly, seeing his grin when noticing her glances. She felt a blush creeping up her face. He moved a few seats so that he was sitting beside her now. Literally, both of them couldn't get the smiles off their faces. So Naina faced away and looked outside the window.

She felt his hand brushing against hers. She stared outside intently, trying unsuccessfully to keep her mind from roaming around. She felt like her mind and heart were going to be driven insane by that small touch. She took a deep breath and accidentally looked at him.

He heard her take a deep breath and caught her gaze when it fell upon him. Still maintaining the eye contact, he reached out to her hand, entwining it with his, rubbing his thumb against the back of her hand. She looked up into his eyes in wonder.

Ali, Pooja, Yudi, Aalekh and Huda had noticed the couple gazing at each other intently. So had Abhimanyu and Nandini. Aalekh was smiling widely, whistling the tune to a classic romantic song. Yudi and Ali were grinning happily for their m\friend and mentor.

Pooja's eyes were shining with delight and her face showed the excitement, but Huda's showed conflict. Finally his expression rested on acceptance and a small, sad smile graced his lips. Abhimanyu and Nandini silently exchanged fives under the seat, looking straight ahead but with huge smiles.

The scene ends with Rajveer looking at Naina lovingly while she gazes down shyly at their joined hands.

Precap - "Rajveer Sir-" Naina begins as she enters his room.

"Uh hn... Raj." he tells her. She smiles shyly and nods.

The cadets pushed Gehlot and his men off the bus. There were about 3 police cars with about 6 cops, 10 to 15 army jeeps with 20 to 25 Army Officials and many more civillians gathered around the bus and the jeep Abhimanyu initially travelled with. Soon the cadets noticed that all the students and faculty of KMA were there as well. They all cheered when the first-year batch came down, and the sound became ten times when Rajveer came out. There were even some whistles for Nandini.

"Captain Shekhawat! How do you feel that your mentor and adoptive father is the one who had framed your best friend and tried to frame you while doing illegal transactions?" one of the energetic female reporters asked bravely, determined to get a good scoop for her article. Rajveer paused on his way to Brigadier Chandokh and looked at her. Everyone quietened at once, holding their breaths.

"There is a severely injured Officer, an entire group of terrorrists with their leader who were caught red-handed and ahs to be taken for trial and a batch of first-year cadets who managed to handle themselves better than any beginners. All you have to ask is what a mere Captain feels about being used and betrayed? I serve my country, but if my country doesn't look at the important things what would be left to be proud of?" He moved on without waiting for an answer.

His cadets, friends and colleagues smiled proudly at his answer. Ali started clapping, and everyone else followed. Rajveer looked around in surprise. He was speechless. Many Officers, including Abhimanyu, Nandini and Brigadier Chandokh took their hats off out of respect for him.

This time, Naina gave him a thumbs up proudly. Gehlot merely watched. It seemed like there was a conflict within him. Major Nair's anger was very evident though he tried to appear indifferent. He looked at Gehlot for directions but found his Boss confused himself.

"-Nair can save us-" Pooja heard one of the terrorists muttering to the one beside him. She looked back and forth them and Major Nair in surprise. She whispered something to the five and they stopped the guards from taking the men away.

"What did you just say?" Yudi asked threateningly. They cowered in horror and shook their heads violently.

"N-nothing! Wh-what did we say?" one of them asked, immediately being slapped by the other. Huda and Aalekh came forward menacingly. They took them by the collar and got ready to punch them when they started yelling something about Major Nair.

"Repeat that slowly, loudly and clearly." Aalekh himself ordered slowly, but with fire in his eyes.

"W-woh M-Major Nair-"

"What's this nonsense? How dare you indicate that I'm involved?" Major Nair angrily stuttered.

"Major, are you a psychic?" Abhimanyu asked. Seeing his confused face, he explained. "Because I didn't hear him say in any way that you are involved... maybe you read his thoughts. If so, enlighten us. Are you really involved?"

"Captain Abhimanyu! Watch what you say!" Nair growled. Nandini stepped forward.

"Watch what you say yourself, Major. And Captain Abhimanyu, you did go a bit far. Now, tell us clearly what you were going to say. All of you will have life-sentence or be executed, but if you give tell us everything it will be cut short; plus, what's the point of holding up an illegal and harmful activity?"

The men looked at Nair in fear. Then one of their other partners started speaking from the back.

"Major Nair has been following orders from Boss - Gehlot Saab - since he was promoted to a Major."

"That's only a year after he joined KMA as a faculty member!" Brigadier Chandokh exclaimed in shock and betrayal. "How could you?! How could you work against your own country, your motherland?"

"Sir they're making up this rubbish! Don't believe them... they - they're just trying to frame me!" He tried to defend himself, trying to move away from the crowd. Two gaurds came over and caught him by the arms tightly. "Let go of me at once! I'm a Major, and that's the respect I get for it? They're lying! Why do you believe them?!"

"We'll hear everything you have to say for yourself in court Major. Take them away." Abhimanyu ordered. The six joined hands secretly and grinned at each other.

~*~*~

"Rajveer Sir-" Naina began as she entered his room. He was sitting on the couch, looking through some papers. He looked up and shook his head.

"Uh hn... Raj." he told her, going up to her and held his arms around her. She looked at him in shock and blushed. He grinned and closed the door, and she just smiled embarrassedly at her reaction. He placed a hand on her back and guided her towards the couch. "Sit. After all we've been through - together - how can you still refer to me so formally, even when we're... alone... Cadet Naina 'Ah' Singh?" he asked, pressurising the word 'alone' instead of her name.

"How can you still refer to me so formally after what we've been through together even when..." she left off, blushing, but still determined not to let the shyness take over. He smiled at her, nearly sending her to the ninth cloud.

"Thik hai 'Nainajee'... your wish is my command." he nearly whispered. "Now, what made my star cadet visit my humble home?" he asked in a filmy way, making her laugh. Her laugh soon ended though, when she realised she left the mess in such a hurry to meet him that she forgot to make up an excuse.

Rajveer watched lovingly yet quite amused as she tried to think of an explanation.

"One thing I should make very, very clear 'Nainajee'-"

"Naina." He smiled widely at her comment.

"Naina, I think it's about time that you stop trying to have excuses or explanations of meeting me. Can't we meet just to have a chat or..."

"Or what Si-Raj?" she looked at him expectantly to finish his sentence, but instead he stood up.

"I'll show you. Come on." He held out his hand. The scene ends with Naina looking at it in confusion.

Precap - Yudi and Huda are open mouthedly staring at something, or rather someone, passing by.

"They're framing me!" Major Nair yells, but no response from anyone.

Rajveer is riding a bike with Naina behind him.
