She could feel her head spinning, Angad where was he? She was going to fall. Before she realized it, his arms were around her for support. Didn't he know, she needed to breath, she could swear the kiss had lasted longer than a minute. She was standing, where he had left her, after releasing her lips from his.

"Im ok" she said, moving his hands off of her.

"Im sorry" he replied, and left the room.

Did things have to be uncomfortable 50% of the time, between the two? Now she was suppose to travel a distance of thirty minutes together. alone.With him. God Help her.

She picked up her purse, and headed downstairs, he wasn't in the living room, perhaps he was in the kitchen, getting himslef a little something. She wasn't going to look for him, she was going to go sit in the car and wait for him to come himself. Maybe that would be rude. She'd wait for him. After waiting a total of 10 minutes she decided she would go check, if he was already outside, and had the same plan she had had only minutes ago, and then canceled out on.Well actually he was on the phone. Standing on the porch, facing opposite, her.With all the guts she had in her, she walked upto him and finally managed to say"Angad, were getting late" he turned around, as if he was shocked or something, and excused himself, from the phone call and nodded.

They didn't talk throughout the whole way their, and it seemed it like ages before they reached their final destination. The place was grand and it didn't need much for it too look elegant, neither inside or outside, it was a alone a great monument. They entered the place, not uttering one single word, except for when he had asked to hold her hand,so that there parent's wouldn't make out, the problem's the two were having, and so that they would look like other couple's there at the event. Totally in love with eachother, and happy.

They spotted their parent's standing with eachother, and other guest's at the corner, of the building, and began walking toward's there. Kripa instantly after leaving Angad's hand, greated her parents with a huge hug, and a quiet kiss on their cheeks, and after she did the same with Angad's parents who were also there at the time, she couldnt wait anymore and asked:

"Mom, where's Jason?" she was practically jumping now.

"He's over there, catching up with friends" she said pointing toward's, two men dressed in black.

She walked as fast as she could, in this sari she was dreading at the moment, and without thinking who was there, she turned her bro around, who looked older than her,at the moment, he was taller, he had a bit stubble on his jaw, which made him look the more handsome.

"Hey sis" he said, before they were embracing eachother tightly

Kripa couldnt help, it, it had been so many years since she had seen her baby bro. and finally.

"Kripa, dont do this." he said breaking the hug, and realizing his sis, was now shedding tears.

"Sorry, its.. its just been so long" she said now trying to control anymore tear's from, falling, and ruining her make-up.

"So, Jason, how did school go? how were your results for the final exams" she said asking, after she was bit more calm.

"It was good, I thought I could have done better, but Im happy with what I got" He said, taking a sip of the liquid, that was in his glass at the moment, most likely a type of wine.White wine

"Thats great" she said placing her hand onto his cheek.

"Wait Kripa, I totally forgot to introduce you" he said looking at the man, who was currently, facing the other way, talking to an elderly lady at the moment. Who Kripa hadn't noticed earlier.

"I want you to meet my friend. Abhisek"

Abhishek? What? Please.. no she thought

The man turned aorund, revealing Kripa's long lost lover.

"Hey" he said placing his hand forward for Kripa's acting as if he had met her for the first time.It was sickening

"Hi" she said placing her hand in his, so he could give it a light kiss. It was known as manners.In their society, to treat a woman special.

She would play along.


Angad noticed, Kripa talking to her brother, and thought she would introduce himself, to him, as he knew Kripa would like to talk to him the least she could this evening.He made his way between giggling lady's and smilling guests. He walked close, enough to notice who Kripa was standing with, he assumed the man right next to her to be Jason, her brother. Not because, she was clinging to him, afraid to let go but because, some of his feature's were as same as Kripa's. For istant their eye's were the same color, his nose, was just the right size, just like Kripa's. Finally he decided he would join them. As he got closer, he noticed, and if he wasn't mistaken Kripa was standing there with her ex, Abhishek, that was his name, right?

Angad walked, and stood beside Kripa.

"Hey! Im Angad" he said putting his hand out for Jason.
"Heyy, I know who you are, who wouldn't know you?" he said shaking hands with him, and sharing a manly hug.
Angad smirked..
"I guess" and they continued the conversation, they finally managed to start.

Kripa tugged off her sari, and quickly changed into her night suit, it had been an hectic night. As she started cleaning the dark layers of make-up off of her face, she recalled the night. Angad and her had barely talked, except for when he had tried cracking one of his awful joke's while they were sharing a forced dance.


She came out of the washroom, and placed her sari,back into her cupboard, as she thought she would give it for dry-cleaning tomorrow. As she pulled the covers over her, she thought maybe Angad sleeping on the couch for now wasn't all of that a bad idea, especially after what had happened today.

He walked in, tugging his tie off, he looked tired. Really tired. More like stumped. After about 15 minutes, he plomped onto the bed beside her. Shocked Kripa, looked up from her book. Had he forgotten, what had happened between them just hours ago?What did he think he was doing.

"Angad" she called, with all the courage inside her.

He opened his eyes, and stared at her blankly "What?" he replied, like he'd rather this coneversation not start.

"If you dont mind, can you sleep on the sofa tonight."

"Actually I do" he replied, now looking totally engrossed in the conversation.

"What?" now it was her time to hope, that this conversation never started.

"If your suggesting I sleep on the sofa, because of the kiss we shared, before the party. I refuse." he replied, getting the cocky gesture's on his face, like he did, before they were married, Kripa noticed.

"What..But why?"

"As far as I can remember, the kiss we shared, envolved 2 pairs of lips, and 1 of that pair belonged to you, and by telling me to go and sleep on the sofa, and end up with an incredibly paining back,your blaming me for the kiss, and because fo that I will not go and sleep on the sofa."

He turned back, to fall asleep just within seconds of closing his eyes.

Kripa tossed the covers off of her and, settled onto the couch with her pillow."Arrogant pig" were the last words, she muttered, before forcing herself to sleep.

Angad looked over at her, she was asleep, why had he just been so awful to her. Was it because, what he had just said to her was true, or that fact that she was with Abhi, for a moment, at the party. He couldnt question her either, only he knew, what had happened the last time he had. He himself, swore, and cursed, until he was a sleep himself.


* * *

"Honeymoon my foot" she screamed at the top of her lungs, in her friend Emma's tiny apartment.

"Kripa hush" the neighbours, will start a petition to kick me out of this apartment, if you dont.

"Emma!"

"Sorry..But Kripa..Hun it isnt all that bad,it's not like he's going to force you into anything. Just have a good time. As friends"

"Phuleez, this 'trip' will be anything beside's a cute trip between two close friends. The media will make sure of it"

"Well, sorry hun, I cant do much about the media."

"I've got to go" Kripa said, defeated, grabbing her purse, and quickly hugging Emma and saying a quick goodbye.

Thing's were already so crapy between the two, and now to top it off, they were being sent on a honeymoon.Together. Alone.With eachother.Dammnn life was complicated.She had to explain to her parents that she couldnt go on a honeymoon with the husband she never loved. Angad would agree with her, and explain the same to his parents. If only they were speaking to one another, she could explain her plan to him. But he didn't even know what both their parents had planned for them. Only she knew, after she had went to go and visit her parents. Her dad had dropped the idea, or more what he called it. Surprise on her. What a dreaded surprise she thought to herself.

She needed to talk to Angad, about this. He would agree with her. If not anything else.This plan she had, as she was sure, he didn't want to see her face after, she had spazzed at him this morning.

He was in his office, she wasn't going to go to him. She was going to wait for him to come to her, this time.He walked into the room, as if he had lost something very valuable. She could give a damn, at this point.

"Angad, mom and dad want us to go for our honeymoon" it came out so fast, she couldnt stop if she wanted to. Besides the suspense was killing her.

Now he looked as if, he was going to kill someone.

"What?" Are you kidding me?"

"Does it look like I'am?"

She was mad at his last comment. Why would she be kidding?

"Im sorry I cant"

"You need to tell our parent's that Angad. Not me"

He looked frustarated,all of this was happening too fast for him.

" I will"

"When?"

"Soon, Kripa" he almost yelled.

"Angad, dont loose your temper with me" This time, she was talking in the annoyed tone.

He just glared and angry glare, and left into the washroom.

How rude was this man?

They were currently at Angad's parent's house. They had just announced that they didn't want to go on their so called honeymoon, and Both there parents had agreed, Only because Jay and Nisha's marriage was soon to be confirmed.

Thank-god she told herself, again and again that night.

As Angad, and Kripa sat in the living room alone. After his parent's had left urgently, due to an client.

"Wanna leave?" Kripa asked, getting uncomfortable now.

He looked up, from the list of marriage hall's his parent's had given him. Afterall he was the brother.

"Yeah, just hold up."

Before they could get up. Piya entered the room

"Hey Bro, where are you off to?"

she said giving her brother a tight hug.

"Home, its late"

"No its not, stay"

Great Kripa thought.

They both sat down again, this time Kripa on the one cushion Lazy Boy couch and Pia and Angad on the love seat. Thank-god Kripa thought again.

They talked. Kripa listened and then when she couldnt anymore. She talked

"Angad can we leave?" she asked standing up.

"No, not yet.You can leave if you want" replied Piya, which wasn't really nessacary at the moment.

"Im talking to Angad right now." she looked back at him.

"Can we?"

This time he stood up.

"Be my guest, he said handing her they keys

She grabbed the keys, and walked out of there as if nothing had affected her.
