Mahi entered seventh month and Mohini planned her godhbharai. She called DM and Yashwant Sareen to fix the date. DM requested Malhotras to perform at Sareen's house so that Mahi can be taken to maayka at ninth month for delivery.
Brij didn't like DM's thought and fumed at Mohini "Yeh kaisi baat kar rahi hai? Yeh kaisi rivaaz huva, sasural mein godh bharai? Hum wahan se beti ko lakar maayka mein rasam puri kartey hai. Mujhey yeh kuch ajeebsa lag raha hai."

Mohini tried to convince him "Haan, yeh achi baat toh nahin hai magar wo log wahan karna chahey toh kya harz hai? Uski bhi mann chahta hoga yeh rasam wahan celebrate karein!"

Brij didn't seem to be convinced at DM's request and insisted to take Mahi home at seventh month only to fulfil the custom. Shabd disappointed at the whole event as he made DM request Brij to do the godhbharai at his house so that Mahi doesn't have to go away from him so early. "Tumhara daddyji bhi bahut jiddi hai. Yahan karein ya wahan, donon ek hi baat huva tha na? I don't want to send you maayka so early." Mahi understood his disappointment and tried to convince him "yeh purani custom hai ki beti ki godh bharai maayka mein ho. Tum chahey toh mein daddyji sey yeh maangloongi ki mujhey function ke baad wapas behejdey aur ninth month aatey hi delivery ke liye lekey jaaye."

Shabd looked at her "are you sure you could convince your father?"
Mahi smiled as she felt Shabd was inclining to her request "haan, main manaloongi. Magar tum pehley yeh rasam unki rivaazon par honey do." Shabd reluctantly agreed.

Mohini and Raaji came on an auspicious day to give the gifts to the entire Sareen's family as per tradition and had lunch with everyone. She conveyed them the date of function would be four days later. Mahi took leave from DM and Yashwant and walked to her room to bid bye to Shabd. She walked into her bedroom and saw Shabd watching out of the window but his eyes were thinking seriously about something. She pressed his shoulder and turned him to her side. Shabd put fallen face and lowered his eyes. Mahi smiled at his childish frown and lifted his face to look into his eyes.

"Naraaz ho?" Shabd eyes moistened and hugged her "I will be missing you, got used to you a lot. Are you sure you could manage to convince your parents to come back?" Mahi kissed his ear and wiped her tears from corner of eyes "I promise, okay? Now cheer up and see me off happily. I cannot leave if you were sad, please." Shabd shook his head and hugged her tightly once again. "I'll wait for you." Mahi smiled "Pehley aap log function ke din mamma ke ghar ayengey, then ussi raat mein aap key saat wapas aajaoongi, samjhey?"

Shabd agreed and walked out holding her hand. DM noticed their intimacy and blessed in her mind for their happiness. Mohini and Raaji exchanged their looks and both thought in their mind that DM's request about the function as Shabd's insistency.

Raaji and Soni came two days earlier for Mahi's function. Three of them got ready with their dresses, jewelry while Mohini and Nani maasi were busy with other arrangements. Brij invited all of his friends and relatives as Mahi became pregnant after five years of marriage. Durga whined at the arrangements of the function as her two daughters-in-law got cheaper arrangements at their respective godbharai functios. Raaji and Soni tried to convince their mother-in-law as Mahi's pregnancy was special because of her twins and also coz of her long waiting pregnancy.
Durga frowned at them "Mahi khud ghar bhasaney nahin chahti thi. Jab wo Shabd ko apna liya, pregnant hogayi thi, iss mein kaunsi badi baat huva tha?" Raaji and Soni decided not to argue with her further as it would end nowhere.

Mahi indirectly hinted her mother about Shabd's request but had no courage to convey to Brij. Raaji and Soni teased her about Shabd but Mahi enjoyed their teases.

Shabd was calling her every other minute and conveying how much he was missing her. Mahi tried to sooth him and to stop him calling so many times. She was feeling awkward in front of her sisters as they were giving mischievous looks everytime she gets calls. At last Mahi spilled her anger "Yeh husbands bhi na ajeebsa overreact kartey hai. Jab tak mein wahan tha kabhi itna phones nahin lagata tha. Abb dekho, har ek minute miss karta hai. Na chain sey khanay detay, na chain sey soney datey." Raaji and Soni burst into laughter "haan, haan, humey bhi maloom hai. Veer aur Jeet bhi aisey hi react hota tha. Magar, maan na hi padega Shabd un donon sey ustaad nikala tha."

Mahi frowned "hato tum donon, bahut hogaya hai. Mein kehdeti hoon Shabd sey agey mujhey phone mat karna." Raaji and Soni rolled their eyes and tongue inside mouth making Mahi sulk more. She walked to Mohini to escape from her two sisters' playful taunts. Mohini saw Mahi's fallen face and enquired "kya huva Mahi! Tum theek ho?" Mohini was getting worried day by day about Mahi as she was carrying twins.

Mahi hugged Mohini and hid her face in her shoulder. Mohini was more worried but Raaji and Soni reached them laughing at Mahi. They explained Mohini how Shabd was missing Mahi. Mohini proudly caressed Mahi's back "mein bahut kush hoon ki Shabd tumhey itna pyar karta hai. Jab who function pe ayega na ussey yahin rehney ki liye keh deti hoon. Tumhari delivery tak hum sab ek hi saat rehengey."
Mahi took the chance for her convenience "Mummiji! Wo yahan aakar do mahiney kaisey rahengey? Mujhey hi bhejdo na! Mein phir nau mahiney aaney tak aajaaoongi. Waisey, wahin delivery kar saktey hai."

Brij entered hearing the conversation "Hum bhi bacha paida kiyay thay. Hum bhi biwi sey behattar pyar kiya tha aur kartey hai. Magar iss jamai raja jaisa koyi nahin dekha. Pura custome hi badal daalna chahta hai." Mohini smiled at his frustration "humara jamana aur abki jamana mein farak hai jee! Aaj ka bachon mein itna patience kahan rehta hai? Aur wo bahut possessive bhi rahatey hai. Aap bhi ek baar Mahi ki taraf sey soch lijiye."

Brij gave a sharp look at Mohini and left the room. Mahi was now worried if she could convince Brij at all. Mohini pressed her head and kissed her forehead "main hoona, kyon itna fikar karti ho?" Mahi smiled half heartedly as her mind scared of upcoming problem and hid her face on Mohini's shoulder. "Bhagwan! Yeh Shabd ka jidd kahin bada problem na khada kardey." She prayed in her mind.

Everyone started coming to the function as Mahi was getting ready for her godhbharai. She wore red and green banaras sari with zardousi embroidery and heavy jewelry. Mohini insisted to have all the jewelry as this was a big celebration. Shabd, DM and Yashwant Sareen came when Mahi was climbing down stairs to reach the guests.

Everyone clapped at her arrival and Raaji, Soni seated her in a decorated chair. All women arranged flowers, bangles, sweets, haldi, kumkum in different big plates in front of Mahi. After everyone gathered in the center of the hall Mohini gave haldi, kumkum, bangles, flowers and sweets one by one when Mahi held her sari ends together. She gave an expensive silk sari with a jewelry set and blessed along with Brij. Next Yashwant Sareen and DM gave her sari and another set of jewelry along with some fruits. They blessed her with healthy kids. Durga, Raaji, Soni also gave their share of gifts and sweets and blessings.

Shabd was adoringly watching his beloved wife. He was missing her for four days and yearning to meet her in privacy. Mahi was giving loving looks at him. She was also equally yearning for his closeness. Everyone asked Shabd also to bless Mahi.
He came and settled his throat to bless and looked at DM "kya bless karun, DM?" Everyone laughed at him when Mahi blushed. Veer teased him openly "bless karon deir sarey bachein ho, phoolo phalo" Shabd said "haan, bless kardiya" without thinking. Everyone laughed and he realized his innocence and blushed along with Mahi.

Brij and Mohini showed their satisfaction for having Shabd as their son-in-law and praised his affection towards Mahi. Everyone had delicious lunch and blessed Mahi and Shabd once again before taking leave from Malhotras.

Mahi tired after the whole function and had light meals on Soni's force and gone to have a nap. Shabd came to her after he was done with his meals and chatting with every guest. He saw Mahi in deep nap and didn't want to disturb her. He sat beside her and stroked some strands and kissed on her soft cheeks without disturbing her. He kissed her stomach and lay beside her without touching her falling into deep nap in no time.

Shabd reminded Mahi in the evening while having tea in her room. Mahi smiled and reassured to finalise before night. Shabd dropped his hand around her and kissed her temples "Mahi! pata nahin how I manage my trips but staying away from you in the same town was horribly difficult, you know. Please daddyji ko convince kardo and I promise I take good care of you." Mahi smiled and rested on his shoulder "Mujhey pata hai tum kitni care karta hai. I will talk to daddyji tonight. Anyway today is Friday and my parents don't send me now. You have to take me tomorrow." Shabd shook his head in agreeing with her.

Brij became furious when Mahi informed about Shabd's request. "Yeh kaisa hosakta hai? Mein tumhey delivery honey tak kahin nahin jaaney doonga. Maanta hoon ki Shabd tumhey bahut pyar karta hai, magar iski yeh matlab nahin tha ki wo jab chahey tab tumhey lejaaye. Iss ghar ka bhi ek reet rivaz hai, ussey taalna nahin chahiye."

Mohini came to them "kyon ji! Aap har baat par itna naraz kyon hotey hai? Shabd Mahi ko bahut chahta hai aur uski bina nahin reh pata. Hum har din wahan dekhney jaayengey."

Brij disagreed with her "Alag rehna itna mushkil hai toh ussey batado ki who bhi humarey saat hi rahey. Magar Mahi ko kahin jaaney ki jaroorat nahi hai."

Mohini and Mahi exchanged looks and Mahi sighed "Daddyji! main samajhti hoon rivaaz kya hai, magar damaad ko sasural mein jada din rehna bhi achi baat nahin hai na. Aur meri saat Dayi maa toh rehti hai, fikar karney ki kyi jaroorat nahin hogi. Please aap maanlejiye."

Mohini supported her. Brij gave angry looks to her "tum uski itni support kyon karti ho? Mahi ki delivery ke liye aur uski pregnancy lekar tum kitna kush thi? Abb ussey jaaney ki support kar rahi hai? Aur Mahi! tumhey humsey apna pati ki jada fikar ho rahi hai na? Agar tujhey kuch huva toh? Kabhi maa ki jaroorat padi toh?"

Mahi smiled as Brij slowly melting to her request "daddyji! Shabd mera pati hai. Aur wo mujhey aapse bhi jada pyar diya tha. Mera har khwaish ki respect kiya tha. Meri ambitions ki jigar kiya tha. Abb uski ek wish mein pura nahin kar sakoongi toh yeh bahut sharam ki baat hogi. Let me go, daddyji!"

Brij and Malhotra looked at each other and Brij agreed at last to send her back. Mohini decided the time on the next morning for her vidai. She started arranging for that.

Shabd felt like won a lottery and thanked Mahi and Mohini every other minute till he gone to bed that night.

Mohini and Brij sent Mahi with Shabd with heavy hearts. They gave hundreds of care tips to Mahi. DM assured them to take care of Mahi like a mother."Main ussey pura maa ki pyar doongi. Wo meri beti hi hai. Shabd har haftey ussey aap sey milaney ke liye lekey ayega. Aap bhi jab mann chaey apney beti ko dekhney aa saktey hai. Nau mahiney aatey hi aap ussey le ja saktey hai. Aakhir uski bhi pehla pregnancy hai. Har ladki ko pehla pregnancy mein maa ke paas rehney ki bahut mann karti hai."

Mohini and Brij relieved a little after DM's assurance. They promised to visit every now and then. Raaji and Soni also promised to talk to her every day. Shabd and Mahi took blessings from everyone and left.

Mahi sat in the patio attached to her bedroom thinking deeply when Shabd came up with a tray of some light snacks and tea. "Humari rani kyon udaas bhaithi hai? Maa ki yaad aarahi hai kya?" Mahi smiled at him and shook her head but shadow in her eyes revealed something else to Shabd. He dropped his hand around her and kissed her forehead. "I'm sure you will be missing me more when you were with your maayka. Haina?" Mahi smiled and leaned her head on his shoulder "Shabd aisa kyon hota hai. Har ladki apni maayka ko kyon chodna padta hai? Can't the girl stay with her husband and parents under same roof. Pata nahin kaun yeh rivaz ko shuruvard kiya tha. Bahut dard hoti hai donon ke bagair rehna. Jab mein yahan rehti hoon, mummyji ki yaad satati hai. Jab maayka jaati hoon tumhey bahut miss karti hoon. Har waqt tumhari dooriyan bahut jada satati thi magar iss baar mein mummyji ko bahut miss kar rahi hoon. Maayka chod key kuch gantey huvi bhi nahin phir unki yaad aaney lagi hai."

Shabd caressed her cheeks pressing her closer to his heart "I know it's difficult situation for a girl. Yehi humari reeit rivaaz hai. Anyways, I promise you to take to your parent's house every week if not every day. Jab tum door hotey ho, mein bhi tumhey bahut miss karta hoon.'"

Mahi relaxed in his embrace for few minutes and had tea and snacks talking to him about everything in the world. Most of their conversation ran around their babies. They fought for deciding some names to the kids. They walked to DM for solution and DM suggested them to write down all pairs in a paper and sort out.

Mahi became busy in writing the names in next few days. She learnt knitting small socks, sweaters from veena. Veena visited her almost everyday. Raaji and Soni took turns to entertain Mahi. Mohini visited her every other day bringing many delicious dishes, sweets, snacks along with her. She expressed all the time her dissatisfaction for not taking enough care of Mahi with her own hands. DM got used to her soft taunts as she couldn't convince Shabd for Mahi's stay in maayka. Brij was still angry though not expressing it out in front of Shabd and visited Mahi every other time of Mohini's visit. Nani maasi came once in a while to visit Mahi.

Shabd's routine changed now. He took complete care of Mahi as he promised before. He was starting his day by waking her up, taking coffee and breakfast to the room by the time she finished brushing. He was going to work when Mahi forcefully was pushing him out of the house. He was calling every other minute enquiring about her day. She teased him at his enquiries "Shabd! Tum ghar chodkey ek ganta bhi nahin huva. Meri day kahan shuru hua tha? Wahin ruk gayi jahan tum chodkar gaya tha, mujhey kuch karney dey toh tab batoongi day kaisi rahi!!" Whenever he heard this type of reply he presented himself in front of Mahi making Mahi blush for his affection. He was coming back home at 4 and was keeping snacks ready for Mahi who had been getting up from her short nap "Shabd! Tum meri halat bigad raha hai, aisi khilaye toh main jaroor moti hojaaoongi aur lazy bhi. Aur bachon ko tumhey hi sambhalna padega." Shabd pouted his mouth but cheered with excitement immediately for her approval to look after kids.

DM was enjoying their playful fights and making arrangements to welcome the new born. Shabd allotted his work to Suhani and Raj on Yashwant's advice and enjoying more time at home. Mahi became hefty and was moving around house slowly. DM noticed and predicted she would deliver much before anticipated time.

One day just a day before her completion of eighth month Shabd took her out for walking. "Shabd! I'm not able to move at all. Lagta hai mere peth tight hogaya hai aur uspey bachon ko move honey ki kahin space nahin hai. I can't walk today. Please, aaj ke liye choddo mujhey."

Shabd didn't allow her to go to bed after dinner and made her take few steps in the balcony. She suddenly felt pain in the stomach. Shabd screamed DM's name and carried Mahi downstairs. Mahi was crying with pain and remembering her mom. Shabd first time felt bad for keeping her away from her maayka. He immediately called Mohini and informed Mahi's condition. He rushed Mahi to the hospital where she was taken into emergency. She delivered a boy in an hour and felt unconscious. Doctor informed them "ek ladka ko janam detey hi Mahi behosh hogayi thi. And we are arranging for an operation to take out the other baby out."

Mohini and Brij rushed to hospital just then and startled to know about Mahi. Brij unhappily stared at Shabd and prayed for Mahi's recovery with safe delivery. Mohini gestured him with eyes not to show his anger on Shabd now. Shabd felt bad for Brij's looks but realized his mistake to keep Mahi in distance from her family. "But I took good care of her. This was just happened in course of time."

Raaji and Soni also reached in few minutes. Mohini informed them before she was leaving or hospital. Shabd apologised to them about his insistency to keep Mahi with him and two sisters consoled him as he did nothing wrong "ismein kya galati tha, Shabd? Why are you holding yourself responsible for this? Daddyji ki baton ko bura mut maan na. Baap haina humesha beti ki dard ke liye damaad ko hi kusurvaar mantey hai." Shabd smiled as understanding them.

After an hour Doctor told them that Mahi gave birth to a girl child. The family can see them in few minutes. Mahi was still unconscious when she was brought into the room. The nurse brought two kids and Mohini put them in Shabd's hands one by one. Shabd dropped tears of joy seeing his own blood in front of his eyes.
Everyone carried the kids one by one and asked Shabd to choose the names and he kept it secret until Mahi opened her eyes.

After an hour Mahi opened her eyes. Everyone surrounded her enquiring her health. Mohini and Shabd brought two kids and showed to Mahi. Mahi excited to see two tiny tiny bundles and carried them with her two hands. "Mummy ji! In donon ko mein kaisey sambhaloongi?" Mohini laughed at her innocent worry and pressed her two cheeks. "Hum kiss ke liye yahan hai, Mahi beti?"

Everyone laughed and insisted to reveal their names. She looked into Shabd's eyes for approval and spelled the names out "Deep, Diya"

Everyone yelled their joy out and congratulated once again both new parents. DM, Yashwant, and nani massi came to see the kids and Mahi in the evening. Mohini and Raji were sleeping in the hospital to take care of two kids. Shabd was bringing the food for Mahi and spending most of the day with two kids.

Second day, Mohini and Raaji went home to make some arrangements as Shabd was taking care of kids and Mahi in the hospital. He was admiring at the kids for their tiny body parts and their cry, smiles in the sleep. "Mahi! yeh dekho donon mein kitna farak hai. Ek araam sey sotey toh ek roney ki expression de raha hai. Khaash yeh donon ek hi gender ki hotey, donon identical twins honey ki chances bahut hotey aur bhi maza ajaata." Mahi smiled at his affection, "Koyi baat nahin, ageley samay donon ladkiyan ko ya ladkey ko janam dengey." Shabd was excited for his wife's initiative "kya baat hai, Mahi! tum bahut akal ki baat karney lagi? I never mind for having another two pairs of twins. After all tum saat diye toh pura cricket team hi banwadengey."He winked and pressed her cheeks.

Mahi blushed at his adorable talk and hid her face in his neck curve. Shabd's heart filled with joy and love on his wife "Meri rani! Ghar kab ayengey?"

"Mummiji kehrahi thi ki humey pehley apna ghar le jaayengey aur naam karan ke baad wapas bhejdengey." Mahi revealed the plan of her parents. Shabd pouted his mouth "again leaving me?" Mahi pleaded silently with her eyes and Shabd agreed with great difficult remembering his earlier mistake for keeping Mahi away from her parents.

Three days later Mahi was discharged from hospital and taken to Malhotra's house. This time DM and Shabd couldn't refuse at the plan.

Mahi slowly got used with two kids. She was sleeping when they were asleep. She was awake when they were awake. Nani masi and Mohini were too busy with the new born and work at home. Brij asked help from his nephew Guddu and his wife Pritu who were living in neighboring village. Pritu took responsibility of helping in kitchen while Guddu helping Brij in outside work.

Shabd was visiting Mahi every day from home though Brij asked him to stay with them until Mahi was sent to his house. "Tum kyon daddy ji ki baat maanletey? Everyday shuttling is nuisance. Dhak jaogey. Why don't you stay here?" Mahi repeatedly started nagging Shabd. Shabd was ignoring her with a smile "agar mein yahan rehna agaya toh tumhara daddyji tumhey wapas bhejney mein aur bhi late kardeta hai."

Shabd and Mahi performed the 'naamkaran' celebration for their children with the names "Deep and Diya" at the end of first month in a very traditional way. All guests blessed the new borns and praised the names. "Aap yeh sabit kardiya ki donon mein koi farak nahin raha..donon maa baap ki naam roshan karengey…donon hi apney ankhon ke chirag hai…" these comments made Shabd and Mahi proud of themselves. They hoped to bring up the children equally talented, self respectful, self confident.

Shabd was yearning for sleeping in Mahi's arms but hesitating to stay overnight in in-laws house. He was not leaving a single chance to caress Mahi when he gets her alone. Mahi was trying to control him though she was equally longing for him. He was getting irritated day by day as Brij was not allowing him in Mahi's room while she was feeding the kids, giving bath for them, and other intimate things. Shabd started whining with Mahi "Kab wapas chalrahey hai? Abb bachon ka naam karan bhi hogaya tha. Wahan humarey ghar mein bhi naukar hai. DM hai. Dad hai. Mein hoon. In sab ke beech humarey bachein bahut pyar sey badey hojayengey. Mein tumhey kahin takleef nahin doonga."

Mahi laughed at his whining "Shabd! Tum kaam par mann lagao. Mere sar khana chod do. Daddy ji toh theen mahiney tak nahin bhejnewaley. Aap itna impatient kyon ho rahey hai?" She tried to console him though she knew his soreness.

Shabd angrily looked at "mein do din nahin aoonga na tab pata chalega ki mera dard kya hai." Mahi blushed "aap ka dard humey pata hai. Magar thoda aur intezaar karna padega." She tried to hide her smile and teased him.

Shabd left angrily without bidding bye to her after dinner. Mahi rolled her eyes and talked to her kids "lagta hai aapkey papa ko bahut gussa agaya hai. Dekhtey hai kab tak naraz rehtey hai." She was confident he would come back next evening.

But Shabd didn't turn back for two days. Mahi started worrying about him and tried to call him. But he was unreachable on mobile and she consoled herself as if he might be out of town. Fourth day Mahi became impatient and called DM "Dayi Maa! Wo phone par hi nahin milrahey hai. Office mein bhi nahin tha. Kahan gaye they?" DM understood Shabd got angry on Mahi and punishing her. "Mahi! wo kahin kaam par busy tha. Wo jab khaney par ayega tab mein uss sey baat karungi. Tum fikar mat karo aur bachon ko theek sey dekhbaal karo."

Mahi was not satisfied with her reply as Shabd never kept distance himself from her especially when he was in town. "kya mujhey daddyji sey baat karni padegi? Lagta hai Shabd such much naraz hogaya tha. Yeh mard bhi na auraton ki dil samajh tey nahin. Wife ko lekar Itna possessive kaisey hojaatey hai?" she wondered about men's mentality as she never felt like going back after delivery. "Hotey kaisey? Do do bachon ko sambhalna kitna mushkil kaam hai. Ek ko feed kartey waqt doosara jag jata hai aur roney lagta hai. Isko nahin chuta sakti usko nahin apna sakti. OH, it's so difficult to handle two kids at a time!!" she defended herself for not showing interest to go back to her house.

Fourth day Brij called Yashwant and enquired about Shabd as he didn't visit Mahi and children for four days. "Mahi bhi bahut miss kar rahi hai. Aap Shabd ko bata diiye ki bachn ko dekhney aaye." His elderly experienced mind thought once about Shabd's frustration and Mahi's longing for him. Though Mahi was smiling in front of her parents her eyes were showing her yearning for Shabd.

A week later Shabd came to see his kids. He greeted elders and walked into Mahi's room. Mahi was sleeping. Two kids were also sleeping in the cradles. Mohini came behind him and explained in low tone "bachein kal raat bhar soyey nahin thay. Mahi ko pura raat jaagna pada. Aur ussey hi halka sa bukar hogaya tha." Shabd was worried and Mohini consoled him as it was normal at this time. He didn't want to disturb any of them and waited in the living room by chatting with Brij.

He went to Bangalore for last three days and couldn't communicate anyone. He apologised to Brij "mein hurry mein chala gaya tha. Dad scolded me for not informing you before. I was trying to call you but I didn't get any lines. And I was also busy with work."

Brij understood that he was repenting for not visiting them. "Koyi baat nahin beta! Mahi toh tumhey bahut miss kar rahi thi. Bahar ko kuch batati nahin, sharmati hai, magar uski aankhon sey pata chal jaati hai. Wo DM ko bhi kayi baar phone ki thi. Shayad bukar bhi iski wajah sey huva tha. Mohini gestured Brij as she was right about Shabd and Mahi. Brij actually called Yashwant when Mohini forced him for Mahi's sake "aap aaj ki generation ko samajh they nahin. Wo humarey jaisey badon ke peechey chup nahin rehtey. Shayad Shabd Mahi ko le jaaney ki soch raha tha aur Mahi ney mana kardi hogi. Jo bhi ho Mahi Shabd ko bahut miss kar rahi hai. Aap ko shabd sey ya Yashwant bhai sey baat karna hi padega. Nahin toh main phone karungi ussey." Brij then called Yashwant and conveyed the message.

Mahi got up as kids woke up for feeding. Mohini went and helped Mahi and informed about Shabd after she finished feeding them. Shabd entered the room when Mohini asked him to meet Mahi. Mahi turned her face to hide her tears. Shabd sat besides her and dropped his hand around her. "I'm sorry, I never do this again." She didn't respond and he turned her face to him "maaf nahin karogi? Tum challenge ki thi na, issi liye gussa agaya tha. I was also missing you, Mahi! Do din tumsey door nahin reh paya aur Bangalore chala gaya tha ek kaam ki bahaney. But I couldn't eat, sleep there. Tumhari yaad bahut satayi thi."

Mahi wiped her tears "Why don't you understand me? Mujhey aur todi waqt chahiye puri tarah recover honey ke liye. Tab mein khud aapkey paas ajaati hoon." Shabd felt guilty "Mahi! I agree I'm longing for you but it doesn't mean I want to force you. I can wait for you until you are completely ready. Bus tumsey door rehna bahut dard deti hai. I feel alone even in crowd. Agar tum mere paas mere ghar mein rahey toh mujhey kuch sukoon rehta hai. May be this is possessiveness over you? Abb main tumhey nahin sataoonga, promise. Tum jab chahey aa saktey ho. I will control myself. Now, can I consider that you forgave me?" he mischievously looked into her eyes. She smiled shyly and shook her head. He pressed her head to his chest and kissed her forehead "I love you, sweetheart."

They talked many things about his trip; kids' improvement for past week; guddu-preeti romantic fights; her health; many things.

Brij conveyed Shabd at dinner that he wanted to send Mahi home by next month ending. "Jab tak bachein bhi theen mahina ka hojayengey; kuch sambhalney ki layak hojaayengey. Dayi Maa ko bhi itna takleef nahin hogi. Jaroorat padey toh Guddu-preeti bhi Mahi ke saat ayengey."

Shabd felt nervous and guilty as he felt they took the decision on Mahi's status "daddy ji! Aap Mahi ko araam sey bhej sakte hai. I can manage things at home. Mahi might need some more recovery. I keep coming to visit them everyday. Mere liye aap ussey jaldi bhejney ki jaroorat nahin hai." His heart is racing imagining Mahi's return but hesitated to show his happiness.

Shabd spent some more time with Brij and came to Mahi to bid goodnight. Mahi covered the kids with blankets and came to him. She sat near him leaning her head back on his shoulder "kal ayengey na?"

Shabd pressed both heads and closed his eyes as breathing her fragrance "aaoonga, promise." Mahi looked into his eyes for assurance and lowered her eyes noticing the passion "Pata nahin tumhey choo tey hi mujhey kuch honey lagta hai." He softly pressed her lips. She reciprocated and slowly stroked her fingers behind his neck. It gave a sweet shiver in Shabd's spine "don't do it, I can't able to control. Aur mujhey tana marogi ki main impatient hoon." Mahi blushed and smiled. He kissed her eye lids "goodnight, aram karo, aur jaldi recover hojaao. I'm craving for you." He whispered in her ears.

She shook her head with shy and bid bye to him.

Shabd didn't make any more fuss in his in-law's house and didn't bother Mahi to make her cry. He enjoyed the kids' turnover in his in-law's house. Mohini made a big celebration for that event inviting Khurana family and neighbours.

Mahi was sent back to her house religiously with her two kids. Shabd decorated the whole house with balloons, cartoon characters; He brought twin stroller for twins, play Penn, stuffed toys, toy cars, many other things. He filled their bedroom with all of them.

Mohini and Brij impressed by Shabd's love towards his life and praised Mahi's luck. Everyone left after dinner and Mahi changed into her night gown. Both twins were sleeping peacefully in the cradles near the bed as if they knew where they belong to.

Finally, Shabd took Mahi into his arms. "Dhak gayi ho? I missed you a lot. Kitney din hogayi tumhey aisi bahon mein lekey" Shabd caressed her cheeks, side lacks, chin one by one as Mahi silently leaned back to his chest. He lifted her face backwards and bent to kiss her lips. Mahi encouraged him to fulfill his desire as she understood his yearning for her for three months. Both relaxed in each other's compassion.

Shabd broke his sleep in the middle of the night, when he heard continuous cry of Deep. He saw Mahi was trying to console him while feeding Diya. He got up quickly and took Deep in his hands to help Mahi. "Thanks, Shabd! Issey main sambhal nahin paa rahi hoon. Kitni deir sey ro raha tha. Donon pata nahin kyon aaj ek hi saat uth gayay. Sorry to break your sleep. Mama ke ghar mein toh Mama meri saat soti thi. Yahan mein DM ko disturb nahin karna chahti hoon."
Shabd consoled her "You don't have to explain so much, Mahi! Aakhir yeh bachein mera hi toh hai. Let me have the equal responsibility to take care for them. He tried to stop Deep's cry but it looks like he was jealous of Diya who was already getting her feeding.

Shabd got an idea while seeing Diya eagerly having her feeding and Mahi getting tensed to finish her feed fast to take care of Deep next. He kneeled in front of Mahi and placed Deep on Mahi's other side of lap to feed Deep. Mahi was startled at his plan "Shabd! Yeh kya kar raha hai? Don't do it."

Shabd hushed her and continued working on his plan. He made Deep to suck his share of milk on other side which made Mahi red and turn her face other side "Shabd! Tum bhi na." Shabd mischievously smiled at her "mere saamney itni sharamati kyon hai? I'm just helping my son to have his share. You take care of your daughter. See, bechara kitna hungry tha." He commented adoringly looking at Deep.

Deep was gulping his feeds fast curling his toes and tightening his fists. He was groaning for each gulp with satisfaction. Shabd caressed Deep's curled toes, fingers to relax him from hunger. He caressed Deep's little stomach too to cool his eagerness down as gulping his milk.

Mahi was closing her eyes to hide her shy from Shabd as he was admiringly watching the two kids having their feedings at a time. He gave side glances at Mahi and smiled. He caressed Mahi's chest to relax her from shy for being feeding openly first time in front of Shabd. He sat besides her and dropped is hand around her shoulders and pressed her to relax her.

After few minutes Deep was relaxed as his stomach filled enough to tolerate his hunger. He smiled with satisfaction looking at Shabd and groaned "hm…mmm…ummm" as if he was thanking his father. Shabd laughed with pride "kyon, beta! Mera munna! Bhuk mit gayi? Har roz main tum donon kay madat aisey hi karunga. Ab tumhara Mama ko sataney ki koyi jaroorat nahin. I'll help you both out to have feeding at the same time." He caressed his tiny cheeks.

Diya turned to Shabd as if she heard him. She groaned as if he was unnecessarily giving more attention to her brother. Shabd noticed her looks and caressed her cheeks "kyon, mamma ki ladli? Jalan ho rahi hai bhai ko dekh kar? Wo bhi bechara bhuka tha. Mein bus todasa madat kar raha tha" he dramatically gave explanation.

Mahi was admiringly watching three of them. Shabd winked at her and pinched lovingly her pink cheeks "jab tak mein hoon, tum aisey hi feed karna. Becharey kitna suffer huva hoga theen mahina sey. Mein yeh sochkar hi tumhey sata raha tha." Mahi blushed and smiled "Jhootey! mujhey pata hai, tum kyon sata raha tha." She shifted kids and completed their feeding. Both Shabd and Mahi took them on their shoulder for burping. After they burped Shabd put them on the bed as they became hyper and started screaming playfully and joyfully.

Mahi relaxed in the couch watching the three as Shabd was playing along with kids. He was talking and explaining meanings for their screams. He was intermittently giving longing and mischievous looks at Mahi. Mahi realized how much Shabd missed them. "Khaash mein pehley hi aajatha yeh theenon ney aur bhi jada kushi paa letey." She thought as admiring at them with full heart.

Shabd left the kids when they totally immersed in playing with their legs, feet, toes, hands, fingers. He put pillows between them so that they don't entangle each other and around them so that they don't fall of the bed.

He slowly walked to Mahi who was admiring him cheerfully. He dropped his hand around her and kissed her forehead. "I missed you all for three months. I'm very happy today. Atlast I have fulfilled my dream. Thanks for all these happiness." He kissed her corners of lips. She slowly slipped into his hands. He moved over her running his hands all over her body. He possessed her totally in no time while kids were still enjoying their little beautiful hands and feet.
