He stayed WITH her. Much to her disconcertment, when her hair tie broke off, Sumedha insisted she was going to go upstairs and get her something from Pia’s dresser

Taaruni had to literally hold her back not allowing her to leave

She didn’t want anything to do with Pia. When she would leave Golf Links in the future she was never going to look back and wonder about that woman. The thought of never seeing Sumedha pained her

“You should go to Chandigarh with me she urged

“Kab jaa rahe ho aap beta?”

“I am hoping next week, sales is slipping, Harkeerat Uncle? Do u recall? He I mean his wife helped me get ready for the umm…” Taaruni left it off

“Sukhbir?” (his wife) “OH YEAHHH” Sumedha nodded with a smile

“He wants to be partner/manager” “I don’t think Papa wanted that… he wanted Bhai to have it”

“Tushar?”

“Nahi… dono hi”

That hurt taaruni even more

She realized none of the Munjals liked him or mentioned him

“He had a job, he still has a beautiful wife and two kids… he is just lost now” she tried not to cry

The loose hair helped her hide her flushed cheeks

“It does, Pia doesn’t know anything about him or I”

Pia was in a large circle of friends, Veer and Pradyut talked shop sipping some beverage

“I wont go back to Goa any time soon, you can if u want” Veer urged

“Umm.. I am thinking probably 2ish weeks?”

“Your wife knows the catering crew” Pia smirked

“Did u see the corner over there… she personally pinned all of it”

“It looks great” Pradyut tried not to lose his cool

“I didn’t think she would attend” Pia remarked

“Did u not want her to?”

“Umm.. I doubt she is having a great time” Veer chuckled looking at a far corner where Taaruni was sharing pictures on her phone with Sumedha and the women giggled

“Well… that’s insulting” (If u are implying Taaruni will only hang out with your MIL is a recipe for boredom”)

Pradyut’s eyes were like glass chips

Pia noticed it

“Your brother in law is a train wreck dood” she knew how to pivot the convo

Pradyut was reminded of Gaurav again

His jaw clenched

“Umm.. Ill have to agree” he nodded

“If I were you I would watch her closely” she reeled it all in

Pia didn’t have to smile openly she was “Phew!!-ing” mentally

Later when he returned to his parents and wife

He wanted to ask her why is Gaurav not gone

He didn’t know how to bring it up in front of his parents

He did find her alone while she served herself

“So is Gaurav is home? And can I know why?”

“I am at Pia’s too right? Under coercion? I asked him to stay for compensation” she said swiftly but calmly “I don’t want to be seen anywhere near Pia, I am here aren’t I?”

“Remind me again who has the store?” he interjected tauntingly

“That’s exactly why Gaurav is here! You answered your own question…… you stole his Dad’s store, he fears you are about to steal his Mum’s house” she smiled slowly

Her heart was pounding, her face flushed red. Her hair beautiful silky curls framing her face

She was absolutely fearless

This was simply super comeback from her.

If this guy has to bring up store every time then Taaruni rather dig out dirt against him and threaten to use it too.

After all he is Pia’s brother. The meanness shouldn’t have surprised me.

So far he has been defending her when Pia got mean. This time he dropped the ball. Being upset over Gaurav did not help.

Veer and Pia openly insulted Tara. Right in front of Prady. They have no shame.
