Welcome.... I'll update today
You are right about Aartii she is concerned about Yash but still she is irritated by him.
PART -4
Aarti's pov.
I shouldn't be worried about him, not even a bit! But at the same time, I was worried about him!
I placed the kettle on the stove and prepared some tea. And poured twO cups of tea, one for me and one for him.
"Mr. Scindhiya...?" I softly knocked on his door before entering the room. He turned his chair toward me and removed his glasses, placing them on the table.
"Why are you standing there? Please come in." He said motioning with his hand.
"l just came to give you this." I said placing the cup on the table and before I turned to leave.
"Wait.." My feet stopped at his command.
"Umm...Thank you..and if you don't mind can you sit with me.for the tea?"
Without saying anything I took a seat beside him, he smiled softly looking at me. I rolled my eyes at him, if he thinks I am not angry with him then he's wrong.
"Pari will be here by noon," he said sipping the tea.
Placing the cup on the table he started to type something on the laptop. I wondered what he was writing but then thought I shouldn't pry.
"What do you think about this?" He said facing the laptop towards me. For a minute I wasn't sure if he was serious but when he didn't react I started to read his draft.
I blinked when I couldn't focus on some words, as his eyes were fixed at me, intently, was making me nervous.
" I think i-its very interesting.." that was all it came out of my mouth.
"Interesting? It's okay if you don't want to give me your honest feedback!" He laughed letting his head fall back. A smile slowly formed on my lips watching him laugh so carelessly.
"You can smile?! Oh my god! You are smiling!"😊
"No, seriously! You look so good and beautiful while smiling..it suits you!" He said with a wide smile.
"Thank you.." I nodded with a shy smile.
During the noon, Pari arrived and we all had lunch together and after that, I showed her around the house.
"This is your room...and if you need anything just tell me l am downstairs," I said.
"Okay, di." She replied with a smile.
I ran downstairs and bumped into him. "Sorry...I was-
"It's okay, just be careful..." he said. I nodded before heading out in the garden for some fresh air. A while later, Pari joined me.
"Di, I didn't know that you guys had swings!" Pari said. "Come here and join me!" She said excitedly and I nodded slowly before taking a swing next to her.
"Wow! It's so fun!" She said, swinging very high.
"Careful Pari!" I said.
"Come on, catch up with me!" She replied gesturing me to swing faster.
"No, Pari--Aah- I turned my head behind and saw Yash, smirking at me before pushing the swing and I clutched the swing-chains tightly, closing my eyes.
"Mr. Scindhiya ! Don't!" I warned him. But he laughed and Pari joined him. "Oh my god, di, just chill it's just a swing!"
"Ye-Yeah l know."
"Okay okay enough...Are you okay?" He asked stopping the swing and tugged a hair strand behind my earlobe and I slowly opened my eyes.
"Ohhooo!" Pari teased.
"l am fine." I nodded, ignoring my little sister's cheeky smile.
Yash's POV
"Umm, what are you doing?" Aarti asked.
"Placing the mattress on the floor?" I shrugged.
"Yeah, I can see that but why?"
I suspiciously gazed at her and I tried to read her.
"To sleep..we are living in this room together until Pari is here...so–
"Don't sleep on the floor...you'll catch cold..take the bed and I will take the couch." She said.
"No, I will take--
"Di!" Pari came running and hugged her sister.
"Pari are you okay?" Aarti asked, worriedly and I kicked the mattress under the bed before walking toward them. "Pari, are you okay, dear?" I asked caressing her head, softly.
"I had a nightmare! can I sleep with you?" She said exchanging gaze between us
"Aarru..you and Pari can sleep here, I will go downstairs," I suggested
"Okay..and don't be awake for too long..good night.
"Good night." I smiled
In the morning, I heard Pari and Aarti, laughing in the kitchen.
"Good morning," I said as I approached them.
"Good morning, jiju!" Pari chirped.
"What are you making for breakfast?" I asked.
"Poha!" Pari replied.
"Pari, take these plates to the dining table, Aarti instructed her.
"Did she sleep well ? I asked standing by the kitchen counter.
"Yes." She replied without looking at me.
"Good..."
After the breakfast I took and Ishani for a long drive. Whole day went by and we all had so much fun...We had a picnic by a lake and clicked a lot of pictures.
"I had so much fun! Thanks jiju!" Pari said.
"Your welcome, dear!"
"Okay Pari lets go and get some sleep. Tomorrow you need to wake up early..Sam will be here by 8."
Aartii ushered her upstairs.
"Jiju where are you going?"
"To sleep downstairs?" I stopped in the midway.
"l am going to my assigned room. You can go to your room...anyway good night!" She replied running to her room.
Without saying anything Aartii and I went to the room. "I will take the couch." I said.
Without arguing she agreed and gave me a blanket.
"Thank you," I said.
She spread the sheet on the bed and placed duvet on it and i laid on the couch meanwhile reading a book as I wasn't feeling sleepy. While turning pages after pages, I spared a few second to look at my wife who was asleep. It was past midnight and I felt thirsty,I reached for the water bottle on the table beside the couch. Without taking my eyes off from the book I brought the bottle near my mouth and accidentally spilled all the water on me.
Hurriedly, I stood up from the couch and the bottle fell on the ground making a disruptive sound.
"What happened ?!" Aarti asked woken up by sound.
"-I..I.." I trailed off as I busy drying the book that I was reading.
"Oh god! How can you be so careless !? Your shirt,
look it's drenched! Take it off ! Or else you'll catch cold."
Placing the book on the table I took the shirt off,
unexpectedly I caught her staring at me and then she blinked looking at other side.
'Was she checking me out?' I smirked as slowly approached her, her eyes once again found mine but this time with a desirable gaze.
"W-what are you doing?" She stepped back hesitantly.
"Taking the towel" I smiled showing the towel and turned around. In the mirror I saw her unmoving gaze on me.
"You don't have to sleep on that couch..it's drenched."
"Okay.then I'lIl sleep on the floor." I said placing the mattress on the ground.
"Don't.- I mean if you want wecansharethebed"
she said fast and I couldn't understand it.
"Can you repeat the last part?" l asked.
"Wecansharethebed..."
"One word at a time!" I said demandingly.
"-Okay fine! We.Can.Share.the.bed!" She said irritably. "But no touching!"'she warned.
"Okay." I replied.
Few minutes later...
"Why are you staring at me?" l asked.
"Just making sure you are not crossing the pillow- boundary that I made!" She growled.
"Y-You know you should go and join army. It will be a very suitable job for you! Always so strict and now you are patrolling your boundary...god!" I rolled my eyes.
"How dare you to roll your eyes at me?!" She poked my chest with her finger.
l exchanged my gaze between her and her finger which just crossed the boundary. Her small touch on my bare skin made me shiver.
"I don't like.." Her lips were moving but I was completely lost in her eyes.
'If you keep staring in her eyes, you gonna fall in love ❤️ with her! Rule no 1. Don't fall in love with her Shutting my eyes I turned my back to her and i tossed to other side.
Staying in the same room with her wasn't a good idea and on top of tha lying on the same bed as her was not good idea either. She was worrying about that I will cross he boundary but little does she knows that there is bigger boundary than this one..and what wors that it's invisible...which I will never able to cross without her help.
Two weeks later...
Aarti's pov
After talking to Pari on the phone, I headed to my room upstairs.
I undid my earring and removed my makeup. I stared at my reflection as I still couldn't believe that I am married. This nuptial chain around my neck, and this vermilion on my forehead...I never wanted this and now l am tied to this relationship ,but in last three days I haven't felt tied...
At least not when he's around me. He made me feel more like a family than a complete stranger whom he met just a few weeks ago.
A soft knock on the door interrupted my thoughts and I knew it was him...
And I also knew why he was here?...To win the deal by making me to like the books. If he thinks that it's easy then he's dealing with a wrong person...as four attempts has already had been in vain.
"Mr. Scindhiya. Do you need anything?" I asked opening the door.
"Yeah...will you come with me? I have something to show." He said while leaning on the doorframe.
"Okay.." I nodded taking my eyes off from him and followed his lead. He took my hand and led me out in the garden, I tried to loosen my hand from his grip but he held my hand tightly, passing a smile to me.
"Let my hand go!" I said, angrily.
"Relax, Aarru..Just be patient with me... hope you remember our DEAL," he replied.
I don't know what his fascination with nicknaming me!- Aarru !' It irritates me at most when he smile while saying it.
"Yes..ok so what are you going to show me?" I said demandingly.
He laughed softly and came behind me covering my eyes with his hands. I shivered to his gentle touch.
"Where are you taking me?" I asked immediately.
"Like I said be patient, Aarru...now open your eyes, slowly." He said.
I opened as per his instruction and stood still
absorbing the most astonishing view laid in front of my eyes.
"Wow." It came as whisper, as I was still surprised.
"Come on.. let's go inside." He said taking my hand in his hand and this time I didn't pulled my hand away from his.
He slowly opened the door, gesturing a welcome.
To my surprise there wasn't a single book, but an empty hall, a large piano in the corner and few candle stands. As I walked on the white marbled floor while touching the walls I realized that it's not made of glass but some kind of shiny marbles...but
I couldn't understand how this place was relevant to win a DEAL?
When I looked at him, he was already glancing at me folding his arms and smiling at me
In a blink, the light went out and the darkness took place. I felt my breath stuck in my throat, and my hands were getting cold. I looked around, nothing but darkness I could see. I hated darkness as I was afraid of it. I wanted to call his name to help me but I couldn't.
I could hear his voice coming near from me but it was now distancing; while my fears were taking over...
So how's it ...? Next chapter - Tomorrow
Yash is so patient with arthi which I'm sure will help arthi for whatever is bothering her from her past this is my point of view and loved yashs surprise but arthi was shocked by seeing to what extent he went through to create this for her .Why is arthi afraid of darkness would love to know

PART - 5
Yash's Pov
"Aarti...where are you?" It has been almost a minute since the power went off and I was calling her name but she wasn't responding. I tried to find my phone but then I realized that I forgot it in room.
I walked in the dark room aimlessly, looking for her and stopped when lI walked past her for a second and turned back.
"Aarti...are you alright?!" I asked worriedly holding her close to my chest. It made me even more worried when she didn't replied. 'Is she afraid of darkness?"
I placed my hand around her and searched for the door. Before we can exit the room, unexpectedly the light came back.
"Aarti...look at me...are you alright?"
Her dark brown eyes looked at me in sheer panic and restlessness, tears streaming down her soft
cheeks.
I cupped her face and wiped her tears before leading her to a chair by the piano. She sat on it hiding her face in her palms. I knelt down and removed her hands from her face. Was she embarrassed? Yes, which made me angry at myself for letting her feel like that.
"Do you fear darkness?" I asked hesitantly. She looked at me, slowly lifting her head and meeting my eyes. "Yes..." a tear slipped from her eyes.
I wanted to ask her 'why' but I didn't because I didn't want to her feel vulnerable.
To take her mind off from current situation, I started to play the keys on the piano, slowly an
rhythmically.
Even though my eyes were closed while playing it I could feel her stare on me. I opened my eye slowly when the song came to an end and found her still gazing at me. I gestured her play the piano.
at first she hesitated but then she gracefully played a very touching tone which I never had heard before, I walked to the candlestands and lit all the candles, ensuring that if the powers cut off again there's no darkness in this room.
"Where did you learn that piece?" I asked....
"My mom.she taught me when I was 8..." she said while playing a higher note.
"You are so talented! When I was 8, all I learned was how to play ludo!" I chuckled.
"But you know how to play piano now..-age doesn't matter to learn new things...you could be 60 and still learn how to dance..and to be honest I still have no idea how to play ludo." I couldn't believe my ears how frankly she talked me for the first time.
She looked different but in a good way. I took the opportunity and took her hand, leading her in the middle of the room. She gazed me confusedly.
'I hope I don't die!' I thought to myself as I was risking my everything on this moment that I was ready to steal.
I pulled her closer, intertwining her hand with mine, holding her gaze.
"What are you doing?!" She said trying to escape from my hold around her waist.
" ....Why do you hate me?" I asked.
She stopped her attempts to escape from me and looked at me with widened eyes.
"I know you do. So tell me Aarru why?" I loved it whenever I called her by nickname which was obviously given by me and I was proud of it.
" I - I don't hate you..." She said meanwhile I twirled her around and then brought her closer, her back pressing against me and my face nestling in her long luscious hair, which smelled like heaven.
"Then why are you so distant from me.." l asked, whispering in her ear. "Is this just because who I am? Is that why you--
"-No" She turned around. "I - don't know.." She replied looking down at her feet.
Suddenly, the light went off again, but this time there wasn't darkness but brightness of the burning candles, enchanting the marbled room
Aarti's Pov
"l am seeing something in your eyes that's telling me a different story." He said moving forward.
"There's no story...just people and life events." I replied. "Not everything is a story..sometimes you need come out of your fictional world and look around that what real world looks like...it's anything but perfect!" I said, staring directly into
his eyes.
"I know it's anything but perfect..unless you are willing to share your world with a right person.. me be that person for you, Aarru...." He slipped his hand in my hair, and moved closer still holding the eye contact.
"Mr.Scindhiya, this is all bookish talks! I am not someone for you and-
"-You weren't someone for me almost a month ago...but now you are everything for me and I can't lose you,"
"Why? I have always pushed you away, I never let you sit beside me while we eat our meals,
we have never shared a moment as a couple and
we live like strangers and-
"-Stop it! I know that...okay?! I am not asking you to fall in love with me...l am asking your permission to love you...even it means we never eat together or any of that things you have said!"
His unexpected words made me feel in such ways that I shouldn't.
I wanted to hate him so badly, I wanted him to hate me...but he didn't and I couldn't. I was right only about one thing and that was, that I could never understand a writer!
Yash's Pov
"Mr. Scindhiya...-I don't understand...this is not the DEAL we made."
" I know...but this the DEAL l made..not we!" I said pointing out my intention. And her eyes widened in the realization.
"You! How could you!?! I hate you! I hate you!" She slapped me, angrily. I felt bad for making her something she would never agree for.
To fall in love...not with the books but with me.
"Yashh....how could you!? Love is bookish talk!"
This was the first time she called me by my name.
She held me by my shirt as she demanded for an answer.
I wanted to say so many things to her but didn't know where to start. From there, when I saw her first time and she took my breath away?...from there when she looked at me angrily with her dark brown mysterious eyes?..from there when she became my wife?...from there when she made my house a home...I had no idea where to start but I had too.
So let's start from the truth.
"I love you, Aarti! You accept it or not! My feelings wouldn't change... will give you as much as time you need, even if I have to wait forever"
"Mr. Scindhiya..." Here she was again calling me by my last name. I tried to ignore it and stepped towards and she stepped backwards until her back pressed against the marbled wall, I placed my one hand on the wall, caging her and inched my face near her, she closed her eyes.
"Please Aarru, don't push me away..give me a chance, damn it! Don't torment me...call me by my first name...Yash. your Yash." She turned her head to other side, still closing her eyes.
I tipped her chin, making her eyes meet mine. He glossy eyes finally looked at me while tears rolled down her cheeks.
I gently wiped her tears and cupped her face bringing closer to mine and I softly pressed a kiss on her forehead. Her warm breath fanned over my neck, I involuntary moved more closer, only a inch away touching from her beautiful lips... closed my eyes stopping myself in the midway.
"Give me damn good reason to not give me chance." l asked.
"–We are opposite of each other-you deserve someone like you..who would care for you.
"-You care for me, Aarru. Remember when I have accidentally cut my hand while chopping vegetables and when I rubbed my eyes without washing my chilli covered hand...you cared for me..
"I don't care for you... helped you because that was the right thing to do!" She said.
"Right to do ?! Are you telling this to me or yourself ?"
"Yash -I mean-- Mr. Scindhiya...please...You can't love me...
"Why!" I asked walking away from her.
"Because...you don't know me!-
"-I know you damn it! I have seen you! I see you....know you...the real you.." I gently held her by the shoulder and met her eyes that were looking at me with so many questions.
"I know you take time to read and write certain words...you see the world from a unique perspective...and you understand people's emotions but sometimes struggle to express your emotions..you are scared to get attached to people because you think that they might leave you... can keep going on with the list that I had learned these past weeks living with you.." I cupped her cheek.
"H-How do you know that I am Dyslexic? I never told you." She asked.
"Your writing... have seen it..do you remember when you made a list for grocery shopping and few days backI gave you some college applications to sign..-why did you hide this from me? Were you embarrassed?" l asked concernedly.
"Yes...when I was young, people made fun of. saying that I was stupid...and studying wasn't something for me..as they didn't consider me normal...l used to cry about it but my mom helped me with that..after her death dad filled her place and over time l improved but there's time when I still struggle with few things..and the reason I didn't tell you was because I feared you'd make fun of me.."
The innocence in her eyes was making my heart melt every-time I saw tears in her eyes.
"I would never make fun of you...sure you can be a bit bossy..but I like every bit of you. I admire you. I Lov..." I trailed off when I noticed how close I was standing to her. Reducing the space between us, I held her by the waist bring her close to me, slowly.
"Yashh...l can't... am sorry." She pushed me with her hand and ran out of the room.
I wanted to call her but I knew, that wouldn't be wise, I did wrong by keeping her oblivious to my feelings toward her and may be more things.
I wasn't hurt by her rejection but sad that I wasn't worthy enough of her..
"Cancel the second ticket, I am going alone.." I told Arya. "Okay, Sir, anything else." He asked.
"No, that was it. Good night." I replied ending the call.
I penned down a note along with an envelope for her before leaving to my tour.
I wanted to see her before going but I knew I shouldn't.
