Matron: Sai, tumhari duty aaj ke din se special ward mainhain. Sambhal ke karna.

Sai: OK, Ma’am. Wahan kaun dr hain? Main kisko report karu?

Matron: Dr Naresh hain. Aur wahan bahut security hain. Apna ID dikhana mat bhoolna.

Sai. Ok Madam. Walks away perplexed. Security? That too in a hospital? Virat sir se poochhane ka koi matlab nahi hain. Daant denge. Aajkal dimaag kharab chal raha hain. She reaches the ward and shows her ID to the man with a machine gun at the entrance. Next a lady officer frisks her.

Sai: Aise kyoun check kar rahe hain. Main yahan par ek intern houn.

Lady officer: Humein ooper se orders hain. Koi bhi ho, usko check kiye bagair chhodna nahi.

She gestures Sai to go in. Sai encounters four more such plainclothes heavily armed men and finally reaches Dr Naresh.

Sai: Good Morning, Dr Naresh.

Dr Naresh: Good morning. Achha hua tum aagayi. Subah se inke sade huye muh dekhkar mera kaleja baitha jaraha tha. Theek se baat bhi nahikarte.

Sai: Sir, magar baat kya hain. Koi prisoner ya phir koi terrorist hain kya?

Naresh: Pata nahi. It’s a woman. She has just delivered a baby, four days back. Zyada pooch bhi nahi sakte. Last intern ne poochha to use pakad ke le gaye. Abhi tak chhoda nahi. Tum bhi mat poochhna.

Sai: Ok Sir. (Speaks to herself). A woman prisoner with a baby. Bahut dangerous ya phir sensitive case lagta hain. Humein kya. (Loudly). Aajki duty?

Naresh: Haan Sai, tumhe har char ghante jakar uske vitals lene hain. Matlab BP, Pulse rate, temperature etc.

Sai: Aur Baby?

Naresh: Wo nursery main hain. Yahan par only uss lady ki duty.

Sai: Ok, Sir. When do I start? Aur karna kya hain?

Naresh: Abhi se..aur iss form main entry karna. Sai looks atthe typical form with a huge table on it. The previous intern has entered neatly all the vitals, including the situation for the day. Slept well, had decent dinner. Name of the patient: Shruti.

Sai thinks: Iska bhi naam Shruti hain? Pata nahi yeh naam mera peechha kab chhodega. Chalo, mujhe kya. Apni duty karo aur shaam ko ghar jao.

They both walked to the special room which is guarded again by uniformed armed police.

Dr Naresh: OK, Sai, let me introduce you to the patient. The door is slightly open and they enter after a cursory knock. The patient is sitting face away from the door, reading a book.

“Good morning! This is Sai, aaj se aapka khayal rakhengi..”

The woman turned at the voice and gave a squeal. Which was matched, both in pitch and amplitude, to that coming from Sai.

“You…!”

I hope that Virat of this FF is not as terrible as the on the show....
