He looks over his shoulder and accepts the cup

Kashish kuch snacks bhi rakh deti hai

He nods

Both are sipping their tea while gazing at the non- existent city view

Sujal breaks the silence and speaks up

S- Why are you dating other men then?

He asks staring at her directly

She is confused gasping for air and struggling to form words

She didn’t expect Sujal to register her confession and even ask this question

He is waiting... still gazing at her directly

K- I am not

He is still looking at her

K- I met him for arranged marriage... stuff....

K-…he is a doctor too

She adds, as if that info changes anything

He smirks...Sujal ki wo signature ironic half mocking smirk jisko dekh ke Kashish ko lagta hai ki bole ki, taunt karna hai toh karna siddha!

She goes in

Thodi der baad Sujal bhi aata hai

S- Aren’t you going out for work?

K- No, I am on leave

S- For how long

She isn't meeting his eyes

K- A week

S-Why?

K- Coz...you...emm...why can’t I take a break?

Sujal says mater of factly

Kashish tries to hide her surprise ki how does he know

He frowns

S- What?

K- My geyser will burst. Go take shower

Kashish moves away and walks again towards the bathroom

Yaad aaya ki bathroom m uski bra latak rahi hai

She sits on the bed hugging her knees

This is going to be more difficult than she expected

Her counter ego argues

Sujal says after 15 min of watching a Bigg boss type tv show that both of them don’t follow

After a while Sujal speaks up

S- I was disturbed... you were with that guy. You didn't even acknowledge my presence

K- Not a good enough reason for MMDA (drug name)

Again silence

S- Am I allowed to smoke?

K- We don’t have cigarettes here

S- I will get it

Kashish gulps

K- Well...it’s better we stay in...a nice break

He frowns hard

S- I am prisoned here!

He gets up

She is alarmed

He frowns more

S- What? You are afraid of me?

He shakes his head in exasperation

S- F*ck! You think I am some beast!

K- No!

Kashish retaliates

K-I am just being preventive of any relapse or withdrawal symptoms. I am not afraid of you

S- Liar

K- If I would have been afraid of you then you would have been in a rehab, not inside my house

She says firmly

Sujal chup ho jaata hai

Kashish comes closer and sits beside him placing her hand on his

He looks at her

Sujal continuous gazing at the TV while Kashish is in deep thoughts that what she should have done? Is she doing the right thing locking up Sujal with her?

She can’t let him go out alone

She can’t lock him in here and get stuff for him

Kashish doesn't want to treat him inhumanly or like a person who can’t make sane decisions

She knows that will blow off his self esteem and he could relapse

She starts to call her tiffin service to order 2 dabbas from today

S- Where's my phone?

He asks

S- or am I even not allowed that?

He adds

She passes him his phone

S- Are you sure? They even take away phones in rehabs

She doesn't reply and goes to order food

Faltu ke taunts sunne mein koi interest nahi hai Kashish ko

She knows it’s his drug low speaking

Dusra time hota toh Maan ko eeth ka jawaab pathar se deti

Kashish ke counseling doctor ne kaha hai ki 24 hours blood mein rahega drugs

She is even forcing him to drink more and more liquids to flush it out

She is noticing that his grumpy mood is his withdrawal symptom that he himself isn't realizing

Kashish ka phone bajta hai and she realizes it’s her landlord

She walks out to speak to the landlord so Sujal cant hear her

K-wo...wo mera...

K- friend hai

K- Aapko kisne…?

K- Nahi main aisa nahi kar sakti

K- Haan 2 hafte ka notice hai naa.. tab tak ghar khali kardungi

She hangs up and comes back inside

S- Who was it?

Her landlord is giving her trouble. Now what will she do? Will she at least tell Sujal she is being evicted?
