However I want to ask you if you’ll be continuing this story in the forum as well as FF section since you mentioned it’s ongoing.

If so, please note that migration of the comments on further chapters that you’ll be updating in the forum will mean migrating all the comments for all the chapters from scratch. This will also mean that any comments you receive on the book in the FF section will get wiped out. So let me know what you’d like to do.

Hey Riya, I’ll be continuing to write on the forum and then migrating it to the FF section. Let me know what the best thing. Shall we wait until I finish the FF before migrating comments? I have another 4-5 chapters to go.

But also .. since you’ve already migrated some chapters and if you do receive comments on them in the FF section, migrating any comments from here on would mean the ‘new’ comments you get on the book would be lost.

One solution to this would be to keep the book on ‘draft’ mode for now. Then once you finish the entire story in the forum migrate the rest of the chapters and then put in a request for comment migration. Then you can make the book active so that the new comments don’t get deleted. Just remember migrating comments erases the comments on the book. So make your decision based on that info.

Unfortunately I cannot trash it. You can put it in draft mode though. No one else would be able to see it and therefore you won’t receive any comments. When the full book is completed and all chapters are migrated, then you can make it active again.

Does changing the story to draft mode move the chapters to draft mode too or do I individually move the chapters to draft mode as well?

Changing the story to draft mode does not automatically move the chapters to draft but that’s okay. If the story is in draft mode it’s invisible to readers. This way when you make it active you don’t have to individually ‘undraft’ every chapter. Just changing status of the story from ‘draft’ to ‘completed’ will do the job.
