I have so many questions. 😭

Is Arnav this new managing director? Poor Garima was caught between her husband and kids with no winning ground. I am glad Khushi got to study at least. Now hopefully she will talk to Arnav about practicing.

oh no... poor garima... not sure how i feel about what i read ... i have never experienced this.... but i think i will feel like khushi... i remember talking about similar things with my MIL.... she tells me their father never picked them up or hugged them.... and they did not even call him as "father"... which i am still not able to digest...till to this date she calls her father "kakaji"...😲

but i guess its the time and the values and the expection that you have grown up with ... during garima's time this might be the norm...but with khushi ...times have changed..

oh feel so bad for both khushi and vihaan.... their last interaction with garima was not pleasant ... is this when she went into a coma and never woke up?

The flashback of kushi and her upbringing indicates she comes from a patriarchal household where the head of the family has the final say and woman are mere puppets .Their job is to serve men and please them. Can’t believe such autocratic father’s still exist today?

Kushi’s mom had the same upbringing so she had no problem in adjusting she accepted it. But not kushi she detests the family environment and hence was regarded as a rebel. It is indeed sad after studying medicine she had to sit at home. Not allowed to work as a doctor. So also for her brother who had to work very hard to keep up with his father’s standards and still was unhappy with him and hence was ready to walk out of the house. When the unfortunate accident of Garima happened. Garima was the only support system for both the children. Kushi really misses her mother.

Waiting to see how Arnav supports kushi? If Arnav supports her to pursue her career waiting to see how Mr Gupta takes it.

Very interesting update! Do continue soon.

I feel for the girl! I have nothing else to say! Poor ladies suffer and this is so real even today.

You are right. Perception can vary. For Khushi, her mother has no life, no freedom, had to wait on her husband and take care of his house. But Garima thinks it is her house and whatever she was doing is her share of responsibility in this relationship.

As long as the person is happy, we can't say anything.

She has the ability to convince her husband for her children. We can't say she has no say in this relationship or Alok completely overrides Garima.

At the same time, I understand where Khushi is coming from. I myself can't understand the conversations in a social set up. I can't stand when people gossip and make unnecessary comments.

It is Vihaan's sudden decision to leave home made Garima to trip and fall.

Has Vihaan mellowed down after Garima's accident and gave into Alok's demands?

Has Khushi with her medical knowledge, tried to convince her father to let Garima go and earned yet another wrath from him?

Garima seems to be sensible person. If there is a chance, I would love to see her interacting with her kids and husband in flash backs.

But you said this story will be told from mostly Arnav and Khushi's POV. So, the chances may be less. But happy knowing Garima.

Who is this new Managing Director?

You really left us hanging off a cliff.

Did Khushi finish exams? Did she complete internship?

If I have to make a guess, Khushi has managed to finish her internship.

Alok is good at extracting deals. May be he let her finish internship to get her away from Garima and then asked her to marry Arnav without asking any more questions.

Garima is definitely a sensible mother... I think she understood the personalities of both her children and Alok and managed to keep them balanced. It's unfortunate that she won't be around anymore to bridge the gap. You know, I might write some flashbacks about her... she has a big role to play in how Khushi perceives the world (which of course you already noticed when Khushi was in the Raizada Mansion)

Nice update. Garima fell down accidentally from stairs and may be hit badly on floor where the broken vase pieces are and that must have caused more damage. I was guessing that khushi was not allowed to practice and my guess was correct. Waiting for the next update.

Both Garima and Khushi are victims to female subjugation and patriarchy. Yet both mom and daugher are remarkable in their own ways. Yes, Khushi should have asked those questions to Alok... but knowing him, he wouldn't have answered any of them. Garima was at least trying to get Khushi to understand in her own way. I think no one is to be blamed for the accident. It's something that happened, how the Guptas are gonna deal with it, however... 😆

Actually when you put it like that, Garima is in a worser situation than Khushi... having to watch her family fall apart, while being helpless, hanging in limbo

Arnav definitely has a lot of damage control to do, but i think he is up for the challenge 😆

I was very surprised when I read about your MIL, but now when I think about it, it's not that shocking... some families in India are still quite orthodox. I have seen it in my extended family at times and I just don't get it 😳

Yup, this is Khushi's last interaction with Garima before she goes into coma 😭

You would be surprised how deep patriarchy runs in some families even today... it's not as bad as it was a generation ago, but it still exists. It's going to take many more years for women to break out of these traditions... I think Mr. Gupta will be very very shocked if Arnav supports Khushi in pursuing a career 😆

I think you are going to hate Khushi's father even more after the next chapter. We are getting very close to why Khushi married Arnav!
