SS 69 (I found SS 68 back in the basement :p) - Page 21

Jas enough so, the empty pot was on the stove, I got a new dishwasher today, I am running my second load now, I had to soak the gajar ka halwa pot, but there was yumminess crusted at the bottom, all of us just scraped at it with the fork.

I have Indian store khoya I will moisten it make it lumpy and spread over the warming halwa to make it look exactly like Punjabi halwai creation

A couple of story ideas are brewing in my mind... I dont know when I will get the new job, I might start my new story, will give me something to look forward to every evening, after I put my new dishwasher to work

Gajar halwa - yummy. Was traveling this weekend. Just landed back home.

Put my golu before I left and Amma was doing the Pooja. I have get creative soon about recipes.

Who has shopped from Global Desi? What do u think?

I bought 3 outfits for altogether $60, its mediocre, I wont pay$700 for a real or phony designer outfit, so I guess in comparison its fine, but not fantastic.

Any other online retailers? I know Fab India, SO OVER PRICED. though I love their color schemes, I have 5? kurtas, none of them seem to last

Jas I recall in Delhi, I would hate to get salty sundals whenever I went to people's houses, I mean REALLY HATED it. I only like sweet sundal, and rarely did people gave that out.

I try and make one sweet or another all 9 days, now that kursi mere haath hai. I refuse to make salty stuff😆

Everything is a scam these days, we went to Mahabalipuram last year and there were HUNDREDS of shops selling what looked like "maa kal"? that greyish stone... sculptures

Turns out they are all made of papier mache... what a rip off

I got tiny figurines of Ganesha avatar and Ashta Lakshmi for golu, it didnt break, but am disappointed its not the real deal

I want to write P&P, but with a different twist, the story I began was too complicated, I am going to base it in Mumbai and change it up a bit.

Not have SO MANY side sibling stories... it gets very tedious to describe NON LEAD love stories🤣 (I know... I know... periya masterpiece idula non lead vera)

I find paper mache easy to maintain. My SIL shipped me a baby Ganesha lying on his tummy with his butt out. So cute. She shopped from a vendor (Krishna Culture) in Texas who ships thru amazon too. Also check out Lotus Feet Golu in FB

I got a bunch of kurtis (Biba) and gagra from Amazon too. Offourse, there’s a bunch of ladies who have setup homefront stores and ship stuff from India.
