It's been four hours since Tanuja has been driving and could not find a single hotel. Who is she kidding! This is a place where people have long moved away. This city is rumored to be haunted. The reason why there aren't a single person so let alone be hotel. It was quite and the only sound could be heard is her radio. It was pitch black outside and the trees and silent roads made it look more scary. This is the type of place she wanted.
Hey! Don't misunderstand her, she's no psychotic creep but a Novelist who needs nothing but a peaceful place to write without being disturbed.
She was driving when her eyes fell on a big mansion. She took a right turn in the direction where the mansion was situated.
It was dark and moreover rain was making her difficult to see but enough to drive.
As soon as she drove closer to the gate, it started to scare her. You know why? Obviously the gates open by their own just like any other horror movie.
It kinda freaked her out but tanuja being herself shrugged it off and entered the gate. She drive inside the gate and parked it near the mansion. She took out her phone to see if there was a network but failed. Then a voice spoke in her mind.
" What? Didn't you want this. You wanted a place where no calls no texts nothing could disturb you and here you are again trying to call your friends. You need to utilize this time tanuja" her voice scolded her.
Tanuja was busy in scolding herself and didn't even realize someone has been watching her out from the window. Tanuja felt someone's presence on the other side of the window. She slowly turned her head and saw a man standing outside her car looking at her though she couldn't see his face due to umbrella but still she knew he was watching her. For a second she was frozen on her spot but soon let out an unbearable scream while her hands covering her beautiful face.
The mysterious man with the umbrella saw her screaming and moved forward to open the door. He unlocked the door and bent down to her level just so she can see his face.
He lightly tapped her shoulder earning yet another scream from her mouth. But her scream didn't last long when she realised that she finally found a person. She lift her head to see if the person was still there after her rude and immature behavior and to her surprise he was still there with a smile on his face.
Rishi- "Rishi Singh bedi here. How may I help you miss...!?"
Tanu- "Tanuja sikhand." She replied completing him earning a sweet smile from him.😊
Beautiful name for the beautiful girl. Thought Rishi but didn't let them out.
Tanu- "Umm... I'm looking for a hotel to stay but there weren't any in sight but then I saw this place. Thought you might know some hotel."
Rishi smiled again.
Rishi- "I'm glad you found us. The place where you are right now is the only hotel here.
Tanu closed her eyes in relief."
Tanu- "Really! Guess I'm lucky to pass by this root. But do you have a room for me because I won't be staying for a week or two but for months. So I hope the rooms are not reserved."
Rishi- "Don't worry tanuja, we don't have anyone staying for now so the hotel is all to yourself. So be rest assured."
Rishi said that while taking her hands helping her out. He brought her on her feet. He put his one hand around her waist pulling her close and the other held the umbrella. Tanu gasp when he pulled her closer to him under the umbrella. Before she could protest Rishi started moving forward along with her.
They reached the mansion and was amazed by its beauty. Rishi excused himself as he has to take care of her belongings and room.
She was admiring the mansion but turned around when she felt a tap on her shoulder and there stood yet another guy who could possibly not be more than 27.
Manpreet- "your luggage has been safely kept in your room. Can I help you with anything else?"
Tanu- "thank you. I don't want anything Else." She said smiling.
Manpreet- "By the way, I'm manpreet Singh bedi"
Tanu- "Tanuja sikhand." Tanu replies while shaking hands with him.
Manpreet- "so what brings you here? I mean it's not a tourist place for sure."
Tanu- "I'm a Novelist. I wanted a peaceful place to write my books and this was the best place in my friends opinion."
Manpreet- " Indeed it is...by the way Tanuja can I ask you something?"
Tanu- "what is it?"
Manpreet- "can we be friends? You know I can show you around some times."
Tanu- "Sure..why not."
Manpreet- "Thanks tanuja."
Tanu- "Tanu! You can call me tanu."
Manpreet- "Ohkay...so tanu do you have a boyfriend?"
Tanu was taken back by this question.
Rishi- "CHOTE..."😡
Both tanu and manpreet turn towards Rishi who was sending glares towards his brother who only giggled in response.
Manpreet-"Oh Rishi bhai, meet my friend tanu and tanu meet Rishi my elder brother...oh wait! I'm sorry. You were the one who told me about tanu..."manpreet said to his brother who only sent him glare. 😡
"Tanu! Friend! Damn" thought Rishi eyeing at his lil brother.
Rishi- "I'll take it from here chote. You go and make arrangements for dinner."
Manpreet- "But bhai I want to talk with..." Manpreets protest came to halt when Rishi passes yet another glare while😡 eyeing his closed fist as warning for manpreet. Manpreet gulped . He just wanted to know his bhabhi. Manpreet pouted and left from there.
Rishi turned towards tanu who seemed a bit uncomfortable with their closeness.
Rishi- " Why don't you go and freshen up so we could have lunch together, if you don't mind. "
Tanu- " No problem. I'll be back."
Tanu says and leaves for her room. While walking she felt someone's eyes on her. Turning around she finds Rishi in the same spot staring at her with a loving smile which looked too unprofessional to her. She kept staring back until he gave her an assuring nod. She smiled and left leaving him behind smiling.😊
