Chapter - 22

"If you get missed in this crowd, I'm not gonna search for you. So, better be with me and don't wander around blindly" sid warned as he turned to look at roli, who was standing next to him.

Rolling her eyes, roli looked around. It was indeed much more crowded than usual. As their exams got over and they were having a few days of holidays, sujata wanted to held a pooja at home, for the preparation of which, roli and sid had to come for shopping.

Sid held roli's hand in his and started moving towards a shop.

"I'm not a kid" Upon being dragged by sid holding her hand, roli said bluntly.

"Oh, really? Then why don't you tell that when everybody pampers you at home" sid mocked at her as he continued to walk holding her.

In response of his taunt, she could only just hit his shoulder and followed him.

After buying the items listed by sujata, they both went into a showroom to buy a dress for roli.

Roli kept on checking different collections and designs, making sid annoyed.

"It's more than 30 minutes and you've not selected a single dress" sid got up from the chair he was sitting all the while.

"Is this good?" Roli showed a lehanga, ignoring his words.

"Pack this" sid grabbed the lehanga she was holding and passed it to the shopkeeper.

"I'm not done with selection" roli turned to the counter and started looking for dresses.

"We are done" sid again dragged her to the bill counter.

And finally roli had to buy the one sid selected or rather picked out randomly.

- Next day -

The whole bharadwaj house was decorated neatly with flowers.

Sid wasn't interested in dressing up much, so he just picked up a light blue color shirt pairing with a black jeans. Though he didn't dress up, he still looked dashing.

He came out of his room and started walking towards the stairs.

"Aahhh.." while passing through roli's room, he heard her shouting. He quickly rushed into her room to check if she was fine.

"What happened?" He inquired as soon as he entered into her room. Roli found him as a Savior at the moment and swiftly hugged him in fear.

"Roli, what happened?" He again asked worriedly as he hugged her back.

Without lifting her head from his embrace, roli pointed her index finger at a corner of her room. Sid followed her direction and found the thing she was pointing at.

Sid pulled her away from him and looked at her as he said in shock "cockroach?".

Roli nodded as yes like a scary little kid.

"And you shouted as if the sky is falling down on your head" sid was pissed off at her silly fear.

"You go and thrown it out" roli pushed him forward and stood behind him.

"Me.." "go.." before sid could say anything, roli again pushed him.

"Oh god" sid felt annoyed but still went near to the cockroach and caught it.

"There.. throw it out" roli pointed at window and said.

But, sid turned to her with a smirk and said "let's make a deal".

"Deal?" She looked at him confused.

"From now on, you've to listen to me and obey my words like a good girl" sid said, surprising her.

"Why should I listen to you?" Roli tried to deny.

"Cause if not then I'll throw this cockroach at you" sid threatened showing the cockroach in his hands, which obviously scared roli.

Roli was stuck now. "So, will you agree for the deal?" Sid asked, finding her silent. For which, roli just shook her head.

"Say it out loud" sid ordered arrogantly.

Roli glared at him like an angry kid and said while gritting her teeth "I'll listen to whatever you say".

"That's good. If you back down from your words then I'm gonna fill your whole room with cockroaches" sid warned and thrown the cockroach out of the window.

Roli sighed in relief keeping her hands either sides of her waist. She felt relieved as the cockroach was finally out of her room.

Sid, who just turned around after throwing it out, got surprised as he looked at roli.

Chapter - 23

All the while he was dealing with the cockroach and didn't focus on roli. But, at the moment he saw her, he was shocked and surprised. She was just wearing her lehanga and blouse but not the dupatta. Her bare waist was clearly visible to him.

After relaxing herself for a little while, roli opened her eyes and found sid's eyes fixed on her.

Just then she realized that she wasn't dressed fully yet. When she was about to wrap her dupatta, she found the cockroach and left her dupatta on bed itself.

Realizing her state, she quickly covered her face in her palms.

Sid chuckled and moved near her, taking the dupatta from upon the bed.

"Next time don't just cover your face" sid said, taking her hands off of her face and gave dupatta to her.

Roli felt embarrassed as hell. While sid simply walked out of the room as if nothing had happened.

After almost an hour. Roli got ready and reached downstairs where mataji, sujata and rajender were already present there.

"Looking so beautiful, beta" sujata complemented as soon as roli reached her.

"Thank you, maa" roli replied with a smile. Gladly, sid wasn't there at the place otherwise it would've been awkward for her to face him after what had happened a while back.

Soon pandit had arrived and their relatives and friends too started arriving.

Just then sid entered in and the first person he looked at was Roli. She was wearing lehanga of light blue and navy blue combination. Though it was randomly picked up by sid, it looked beautiful on her.

Sid had always seen her in Kurtis and jeans tops but, for the first time he was seeing her in a lehanga. He was totally lost in her and kept gazing at her.

Roli casually turned around and noticed him. Sid quickly looked away from her and moved near sujata to give sweet boxes, which he just bought.

He then walked up to roli and stood beside her. Roli didn't dare to look at him, thinking of the awkward situation.

"Whom you're going to scare?" Sid slowly whispered to her. Roli turned to him, confused.

Sid looked at her from head to toe and said "stay away from kids. They would be scared seeing you like this".

"You.." roli was interrupted as sujata called over her. Giving a killer glare to sid, she moved away from him.

Later they all got busy in attending guests. A woman came to roli and started talking to her in general.

"You look so pretty, i would love to make you my daughter-in-law" That woman said, shocking roli.

A little away from them was standing sid with few of rajender's business partners. And whatever roli and that woman were talking was fairly audible to him as he was keeping good focus on roli all the time.

He looked for roli's reaction but she simply smiled as she couldn't understand of what to say. Then that woman took roli near a guy and introduced them to each other.

Roli was totally in daze as she didn't get any way to escape from that crazy woman, who was trying to set her up with her son. Without her will, roli had to keep talking with them.

As they moved away, sid couldn't able to hear. He could only watch them from distance.

That woman walked away, leaving roli alone with that guy. He kept talking casually that didn't make roli feel uncomfortable. And soon she too started talking to him freely.

Watching roli talking and smiling at him, sid was super pissed off. Not even once did his eyes took off of them. As they continued to chat freely, sid had completely lost his cool.

He excused himself from the people around him and walked upto roli and that guy. He didn't care about any thing else as he grabbed roli's wrist and dragged her to the nearby room.

Roli was stunned and confused. But, the only thing she could do at the moment was to follow him.

"What's wrong with you?" Roli asked as sid left her hand after reaching into the room.

"What are you doing out there?" Sid questioned back as kept his both hands on the wall, trapping her in middle.

"What i did?" Roli didn't understand of what he was exactly talking about.

"Why are you talking with that stupid guy?" Sid asked angrily.

"I was just talking normally. And he isn't stupid" roli replied.

"If you're talking to him then he should be stupid" sid stated arrogantly.

"Oh.. then I talk to you daily. Does it mean that you are stupid?" Roli said, folding her hands.

"Even if im stupid, i should be the only stupid in your life" sid replied bluntly.

"What?" Roli laughed at his statement of calling himself as stupid.

Sid just realized what he said and felt annoyed of himself. "Whatever. You are not gonna talk to him and not anyone else" sid said in an ordering tone.

"I will talk with whomever i want. I'll do whatever i want. What bothers you..." Her words left incomplete as sid sealed her lips with his.

Roli was startled at the sudden kiss. She was definitely not expecting that.

After pecking her lips for a few moments, he pulled back. "If im saying no then it means no" he stressed again.

"You are jealous" roli said in a low voice as she gazed down the floor.

"I'm not" sid replied sternly.

"Why don't you just express your feelings out" roli looked at him with a pout.

Roli held his hand and kept it on her heart, expecting him to open up his heart atleast now.

"It doesn't matter with whom I'm talking to. I'll always love you and only you" roli confessed with all her heart, which surely melted sid. He cupped her face and kissed on her forehead.

"You're looking good..." roli was too surprised to hear sid praising her, perhaps, for the first time. Before she could come out of the shock, he added "...It's just because I've selected the dress".

With that sid turned around and left the room. Roli watched him leaving and smiled. She really never expected him to say some lovey dovey words to make her happy. She knew how he was and she loved him as the way he was being. Though he express it or not, she knew that he cared for her and that's all mattered to her.
