Snow, down trees - just depressing ! We got a long night - shoveling of what looks like more than a foot of snow.

Waiting to put my feet up after that and read some Harit/Avantika tales.

I remembered these lines from Sosy Himachal trip

The white of snow, almost blinding, it looked like the night sky was aglow because of the reflection. The trees limbs sagged under the weight of it, "promise me there wont be any more" they demanded

The most beautiful of SOSY updates for me. The tree's wail took something out of me that evening. I remember asking Nisha to write a book for tiny tots and young children that day . 😊

I just saw a pic of my cousin's front yard . That's going to take some shoveling people . Yes Jas put up your feet and enjoy reading the updates coming our way

Honorable deeds

They sat around after eating, relaxing, some match played on TV

Teeku snoozed as she sat sideways on the couch

"Raat ko soney nahi diye Harit Meeta bend down from the back of the couch and whispered into her ear

"Huh she cackled and shut her eyes again

"Beta shaam ko chaley jaana Roorkee ghumaane, abhi to aap so jaayen Shyam chuckled shoving some candied fennel into his mouth

" Hum yahin ek power nap lenge she mumbled

He sat across from her in a smaller couch arrangement, playing cards with Vibhu, Dhruv, Bani and Bani's cousin.

He had groaned audibly when his phone had rang, unwilling to let her go

Moving away answering the call

She had spent the next few minutes calming herself before stepping out to have lunch

"harit beta, ghoomne ka plan ban chuka? Shyam questioned

"Umm.. nahi... abhi taq nahi he said carefully

Teeku's eyes were closed but she couldn't help wake up with a jolt

She prayed her Dad wouldn't ask anything

"Teeku hum kahe aapko, who Scandinavian cruise kar dein aapke liye? Shyam did exactly what Teeku didn't want him doing

"I am tired of cruises Teeku mumbled

"Ski kar aayen phir Shyam suggested

"Beta aap ski karte hain? Shyam quizzed

"Jee kabhi kabhi ek Scottish slope par chale jaate the Harit said

"Aapko wahan lautne ka mann nahi karta? Itni dhoop, garmi, pollution Shyam sighed

"Dad aap Teeku ko bahar bhejne ki tayyari kar rahe hain Vibhu roared

"Kyon? Harit looked at Vibhu's face and Shyam's

"Nahi beta... unhoney to kitni aafat machai Shyam shuddered

Teeku slid sideways plopping on to her side, in her crouching position

Meeta got up, pausing her crocheting and wrapped her in a throw

"Hamari laadli jab soyin ho to unko pamper karen, aur uthne par chai tayyar rakhen Meeta giggled

"Waise khaana banayin yeh aapke liye? Himani walked in quizzing him

"Ma ke kuch dates ka chakkar hai, Ma kaafi religious hain Harit said a lil awkwardly

The help brought three frosted beer mugs with a craft beer

"Nahi achhi baat hai Himani reassured him "yahan kisi ko time nahi, pooja karne ko, ham karte hain saare vrat, aur yeh hamari chhoti bahu

"Ma ke bhagwan bhookey rehne se vardaan dete hain Bani subtly mocked her MIL

Shyam chuckled at his DIL's wisecrack

Himani glared at her husband

Meeta stopped crocheting and began to snooze

"Biwi so gayin, chaliye bahar ghoom aate hain Vibhu winked acting as if he feared his wife

"Teeku ko aapne soney diya, Harit bore ho jaayenge Himani was not happy

"Arey sunti kahan hain aapki suputri, Dad 10 min, Dad 15 minute he smiled fondly looking at his daughter

She looked innocent and child like to him

"Facial karwayin hain araam karne dein Himani he defended his daughter

"Aap baap beti ko alag hi rakhen, warna beti ke pyaar mein yeh Teeku ko lautne nahi denge Himani laughed

"Samajh rahe hain hum Harit laughed

"Ladtin hain aapse? Himani asked softly

"Maaa Dhruv signaled his Mom

"Ma kabhi admit nahi karengi Teeku ziddi hain, agar Ma khud pooch rahin hain to it's a good sign Bani took another dig

"Nahi... hum apne is property dispute case ke chakkar mein kaafi busy rahen hain Harit looked apologetic

"Take her shopping dude, buy her stuff and buy Chandu stuff, you can easily buy her silence Dhruv exploded

"Maangti nahin kuch Harit said staring at his pretty wife longingly

"OH MY GOD. MA... KISKO bhej diya aapne Vaidyas ke yahan Bareilly, yeh apni Teeku HO HI NAHI SAKTI Vibhu was pretend stunned

Himani chuckled embarrassed

"Laadli hain, kya batayen aapko Shyam choked up

"Dad, ek dum kaise jhapat pade Dhruv winked at Vibhu

"Yeh saalon baad hui beta, Vibhu mein aur inme almost 10 saal ka antar hai, hamey laga beti ka saubhagya nahi hai Shyam cried openly

"Padhai mein awwal, not one thing out of place Himani's eyes glistened as she nodded

"Aur us bache se ITNA LAGAAV, ITNA LAGAAV Shyam gasped in disbelief

"Phir hamey kaise milte aap Himani smiled happily

"Saare inke boyfriends ko mana karna pada aapki wajah se Bani interjected

Harit looked curious for a few minutes... Himani's jaw dropped

"Not cool beta... not at all she scolded her DIL

The sons somehow diverted the conversation to the match and the topic got blown away

Teeku woke up after a good two hour nap

Everyone had abandoned her... by design too. She woke up to find Harit stretched out on the far end of her sofa, his feet on the ottoman

She stretched her legs, her feet encountering his firm hip, she sat up

"Ma ke ghar husband ko laath? he chuckled

She sat up flustered and red

"Aap hamare couch mein kaise?

"Aapke ghar mein couches ki ownership hai? he asked drinking in her tousled curls, the black beads spilling over her tee shirt in disarray, her cheek red from her fingers pressing down on it

He held her feet in a firm hold

"Time? she asked

"2:15 he muttered feeling her toe ring

"DAS MINUTE SOYE HUM? The best nap in the world, she claimed proudly

He showed her his phone, it showed 5:27

He laughed heartily as her expression changed

"Humne suna hai aap afternoon naps mein maahir hain she said smugly

He leaned forward laying by her, trapping her body between his and the backrest

"Kinse sunti hain aap? he asked his head on his palm

She stiffened in shock and horror, refusing to breathe as his body lay inches from hers

"Aapki Bhabhi she whispered

"Humne suna hai aap laadli hain he said checking her out openly

She looked at him suspiciously "Bani Bhabhi ne kaha? she asked acerbic

"Nahi aapke Dad ne he said creeping closer

She kept her arms stiffly crossed over her chest

His left hand was itching to mess with her

He finally reached out and felt the neckline of her blouse

"Ma ne humse poochha ki aap saree pehnin hai ya nahi he whispered

"Aapne kya kaha? she was furious

"Nahi, shorts pehani hain kaha he said gasping as he fought to hold his laughter

"Aapne dhoti nahi pehani she poked his thigh

He finally gripped her hand.

"Harit aap meri saari choodiyan tod denge she begged

"Aapko itni chinta hai aapne hamara naam le liya? he winked

"Aapko phir kaise address karen? she struggled to free her hand as he caressed it

"Honorable attorney Vaidya he whispered bringing his head closer

"HONORABLE she gasped as his lips landed on her ears and neck

"I guess you are right he agreed, plundering her neck

Nisha, what a charatcter you have created in Harit. The bench mark has changed and Harit has replaced R&B. I really adore this man.

Looks like both have napping as hobby 😆
