Prescription followed by medical exam
Her mother called to talk with Lakshmi about pair pherna visit and learned about her split lip.
Lakshmi was upfront apologetic and embarrassed,
"Aapki beti ko hafta hua hai yahan aaye aur hamare yahan chot aa gayi
Himani was really surprised Chandu would do such a thing, because he was the most well behaved timid kid she had seen. She assigned the reason as losing his parents when he was two. She had never expected him to turn violent at all
"Maafi hum maangenge aapse, Chandu ne aisa behavior kabhi nahi dikhaya. I am so sorry. Yeh to galat hai
"Hum kahe na shaadi mein ki who ukhre ukhre rehte hain, na khaate hain, hamesha rotey rehte hain, na school ka mann hai Lakshmi repeated
"Hamari Teeku hai wahan?
"Teeku ab hamari hai Lakshmi chuckled
"Chaliye Khushi hai Himani smiled self consciously
"harit ko kahen hain unka dekhen, kamre mein hain she said
"Koi baat nahi hum baat mein kar lenge phone Himani hung up
Harit was gone again
Avantika smiled as she reminisced their exchange from a few minutes ago. She felt her lips as she saw Lakshmi enter
"Raat ko hum sula lete hain beta she said softly
"Umm.. nahi soyenge Teeku insisted
Her stomach did a somersault as she feared the outcome of being left alone though in the next room
"Mahina soye na, koshish kar lenge, kabhi neend mein unki kohni ya mutthi lag gayi aapko to raat ko aur khoon niklega Lakshmi said firmly
She found a broken bangle on Teeku's pillow
"Dekhen to choori bhi tor diye hain she lamented
"I am sorry she said glumly
"Kam se kam chhey mahiney pehane rakhen Lakshmi stated
"Ma ne is color ke do aur dabbe made to order karey par hamey mile nahi she explained
"Alka, ya suman ko keh deven, unka kisi se hai baat cheet apne kapdo ke rang ka banwaati haingi she said
Teeku didn't nod
She wasn't ready to give up her maternal connections yet.
"Umm.. hamare paas different colors hain Teeku responded
"Yeh shaadi ke hain, shubh hain Lakshmi told her
"Aa jaayen beta nashta kha lein, Ma ka pone aa ya tha aapke
"Abhi? Teeku's face blossomed
"Aaj kal ke ho, Dilli akele reh chukin hain aap, phir Ma ke naam se itni Khushi? Lakshmi was sad
"Umm... hum roz baat karte hain Ma se Teeku informed
"Harit daftar ho to baat kar lena man marji shaam ko unke liye time nikaal lena
She didn't to what to say
Lakshmi stared at her bent head
"Umm.. abhi nahi hai ghar pe na?
"Neeche football dekh rahe hongey, bhabhiyan kheech laati hain, aap bhi seekhen Lakshmi "taught her tips on how to be needy for attention
"Chandu kahan hain? she asked
"Idhar hee hongey... Yashu (Suyash ) ko kahe hum neeche le jaaven, cricket seekhenge
"Unko pasand nahi Teeku told her MIL
"Pasand napasand ka ka hai, abhi naye dulha dulhan ke saath nahi reh sakte hamesha Lakshmi was done arguing with her feisty DIL, her prescription was handed out Avantika had to take it whether she agreed or not
"Chalen beta?
"Hum change kar lein? she asked
"Haan naha dho lena Lakshmi reminded her gently
Teeku never showered before breakfast on weekends and during Roorkee visits
This was all new
She showered and wore yet another gorgeous, icy blue kurta with a fire red salwar and dupatta, the kurta had hundreds of tiny hand made fire red patterns all over the front.
"Ab kaisi hain? Harit walked in and asked her as she was sifting through a giant hatbox of scuncies
"Hum theek hain she said without looking up at him
"Dekhen hum he insisted
She turned and glanced quickly not drawing attention to what he was actually want to draw attention to
He walked over by her open cupboard door, it had full length mirrors on both sides
"Is it swollen?
"She swept it with her tongue and lied "No I don't think so she said her insides knotting up crazily
"How can you tell without looking? he asked
"There is a mirror on the outside of the closet door
"And the closet doors are open so the mirrors are folded to the side he said hands in his pocket
She didn't dare tell him she felt the lip with her tongue
She shut her hatbox elaborately
Hoping she could fold him up and shut him inside
"Avantika? he called her name
She turned towards him with red cheeks
The way he said her full name was... umm... unsettling
He reached for her lip with his finger
She intercepted it, he grabbed her hand and held it behind her, as she struggled
"Uff she groaned, trying to hide her face in a affected pushing her braided hair routine
He imprisoned her other wrist
"Aapki Ma hamey abhi kehkar gayin hai, I am not supposed to break the bangles she told him off
He was unmoved.
"You don't even seem obedient he poked her.
"I AM obedient she said accusingly
"how? he asked
"Umm.. I am obedient she repeated lowering her gaze so she wont have to look at his eyes
He let his hands feel hers behind her back sending color up her face
"I had to ask you thrice to turn around he informed her bending down on her face.
"I.. umm.. already told you I am better she said weakly
"It doesn't look like it he said
He smelled like the most seductive combination of some soap and aftrershave
She had never been imprisoned by a man before. She staggered drunkenly, his gaze flicking across her in amusement
"Aapki Mom ginengi bangles, agar ek bhi kam hue hamari wrists mein to its not my fault he gripped a little firmly testing his grip
She strained pulling away.
"U shouldn't be worried then! he chuckled
She shouldn't but she was... she didn't know why
He transferred her wrists to his left hand and reached for her face with his right
"U let him take a swing at you twice? He has hurt you in two places he said peering down deeply
She ran her tongue over her bone dry lower lip giving him a puzzled look
"Your tongue is more powerful than my eyes? he grinned
"Ive had it 26 years she said proudly
"Cant beat that! he exhaled audibly troubled by the thoughts that tormented him.
He let go when they heard footsteps and they put distance between them
