Chapter 1: The Morning Chaos
After the thunderous night, the sun shone brightly as if warming the tortured trees and roads telling it that the dark night is over.
But the bright day doesn't really mean the end of dark thoughts and the sufferings it brought to its victim.
The sun rays dashed to the glass screen and scattered across the poolside and reached Khushi's face desperately.
She fidgeted a little and scrunching her eyebrows, opened her hazel eyes.
If it was yesterday, even the sun would have envied her for having so much of warmth and happiness in her eyes but alas, it was a different morning today and totally different Khushi.
As she started to pick herself up, a sudden gush of pain rushed through her body.
She closed her eyes, waiting for it to stop. Sitting on a cold floor on a thunderous night had gotten a toll on her.
When she felt a little better she stood up and looked towards the room. Arnav was still in his bed and seemed like he was having a sound sleep.
Not parting her eyes from him, she moved towards the French door. She kept her hands on the glass and stared at him.
A lone tear rolled down her cheek as she asked only one question "Why Arnavji,Why?" her voice a mere whisper.
Suddenly all the happenings from last night rushed back and she couldn't hold herself back.
Muffling her cries, she rushed out of the poolside to the living room.
"Didi sambhalke!!(careful)" Hariprakash exclaimed as Khushi rushed past him and out of the gate knocking the basket of fruits from his hands.
"Khushi didi!!" He tried to stop her but she was already gone ,he came back to pick up the fallen fruits.
Hariprakash had seen and known the Raizadas since his childhood days.
They had always admired them because of the care they showed towards everyone, especially to the outsiders.
So when the whole drama happened yesterday, he had been a silent spectator. Only yesterday he felt really hurt of his didi, khushiji.
He could believe anything but not that Khushiji would do something to hurt others.
Though, he had never voiced out his opinion, he had a strong urge to defend Khushiji yesterday.
Only he knew how he had stopped himself from doing so.
Pitying about the strong soul, he continued picking up the fruits.
Nk walked down the stairs in his track pant, ready to go out for jogging.
NK noticed Hariprakash going to the kitchen after picking up the fruits.
"HP, I am going out for jogging, could you please look for my black shirt? I cant find it." He said and half smiled as HP nodded his head.
"Bhaiyaji?"Hariprakash stopped NK. If there was anyone he thought would think about Khushi's happiness then it was NK.
HP had seen them together laughing thoroughly on each other's joke and pranking around like high school friends.
He knew that atleast he would see where she had gone after the chaos last night.
"Woh.. Khushiji was crying and she just went rushed outside. I- I dont think she is ok." HP finished. His voice laced with concern.
NK didn't know how to react. Closing his eyes, he took a deep breathe and smiled at HP "Dont worry HP. She will be fine."

Few minutes later, Hariprakash was cleaning the utensils when he saw a highly tensed Anjali walking down the stairs with a shawl wrapped around her.
He thought like every day she would go to the temple to arrange for morning aarti but instead she walked out of the house, time and again looking behind.
HP was behind a slab so she didn't notice him. And in seconds, she was out of his sight.
What was happening??
There was certainly something going on more than what eyes could meet.
And how right he was!!!
