Paws & pas
Morning arrived bright and sunny after all night rains
Trisha slept in unlike usual days
Missing Aanu's reaction to her spending the night with Ashvin
Ashvin tried to make himself coffee in the Shanbag kitchen
Her father not knowing any Hindi and only little English
Waved and paused him
"I will make coffee" he said
"thank you" Ashvin mumbled gruffly
"trisha's asleep" he supplied nervously
Something he wud cringe about later.
Her father did not want to know why his daughter was sleeping in this morning.
He locked gaze with his young son in law briefly and looked away
Ashvin adjusted his glasses and leaned on the screen door leading to the back courtyard
Her father made him the best coffee he had ever had, all within minutes
"thank you"
"U want breakfast?" he asked politely
"Umm.. no not right now... thank u... I am fine now" Ashvin was nervous
Her father took his coffee and walked to the front porch to read his paper on the easy chair
He didnt check his phone or go on the internet
Leela slept soundly
Ashvin logged on to his computer and worked for a while
Trisha came out at 10 just after Prakash left for the morning
"You are awake?" she asked shocked
"Someone has to be... in this house" he muttered, grabbing her swiftly as she dodged
Bringing her on to his lap
"Where is my reward for waking up early?"
"i dont have money" she made a face
He kissed her senseless
She muffled her groans on his teeshirt
She lay cuddling on his chest, her tongue playing a dart and retreat game like her favorite cats back home, causing his veins to throb distrubingly
He had no idea what was it about her lips or her for that matter, the way took his lower lip between her teeth and did that kittenish bite.
Her soft hands moving over his shoulders tentatively as if he was fragile
"U need to rub me harder" he groaned in her ear... his phone falling on the floor with a clank
Leela turned towards them her eyes still closed
He didnt want her to pull away, cupping her curve possessively to hold her back
"I have two hands no?" she reminded him wickedly
"Oh do u?" he groaned reaching and kissing it moistly
She staggered back in shock feeling his lips there for the first time
Her face flush, her expression shy.
She was standing now, bent over, tempting him to do that again
"I might fall if u do that" she whispered inaudibly... shaking like a leaf
He nodded and thumbed her instead
She fell on him shuddering
"ashwinnn" she scolded a bit loudly
"guysss... get a rooom" Leela got up with her eyes closed and walked like a zombie into Trisha's room and slammed the door
"See what you did?" Trisha scolded him
"I do" he nodded lazily
"I want to go to the university" she said
He hugged her tightly
"as long as I get to hang with you and not her, I am OK"
"So baddd you are" she scolded
"she is annoying Trish"
Leela came out walking towards them
They were just cuddling
"He says you are annoying"
"shore... poor baby" Leela mocked him
Trisha got off Ashvin's lap and went into her father's room to turn on the modem
"I started the wifi" she said
"Its in your Dad's room?" Leela was shocked
"I was always browsing no, so he did that" Trisha smiled sheepishly
"Bad girl" Leela nodded
"Look who's talking" Ashvin supported his wife
"I dont care... u... umm" Leela poked him
They did a back and forth slapping duel
Ashvin finally tackled her as she screamed
Trisha walked unmindfully doing her morning chores
"Triii" she screamed
"Ashwinnn" Trisha ordered
He loosened his grip
Leela freed herself, both were on the floor now, rubbed her arms and punched him a couple times
Took his glasses that were on the floor and handed it to Trisha
"Dont give it back"
"Leee" he ordered
Leela smiled smugly and then began to cackle
"Leela" Trisha held the glasses protectively
"i smile because u are my SIL, laugh because you married THAT" she said haughtily walking away from both
Trisha checked email after making coffee for all of them
"Dear Ms Shanbag
Thank you for responding. Good to know you reached safely. Let me know if I can help with anyway about the University
Take care

A couple hours later just as they were leaving for the morning restaurant chores
A email popped in
"dear Ms Shanbag

P.S. Looks like Shanbag is lost!!
A night in her husband's arms and she seemed to have abandoned her maiden name, and the wily old man seemed to have caught that faux pas
