After math
Ishanya gulped the whole glass of water which was brought by the waiter at once in hurry. Omkara worried seeing her sweating and shaking.
"Are you alright? He asked in concern.
"Yes, I am. Just got hungry. She said smiling a little.
Omkara sensed that she her lie but hadn't probed her further to tell him anything.
"What would you like to have mam? The waiter asked Ishanya gaining her attention.
"Ahm...! Butter naan with paneer curry. She replied the waiter.
"Veg Noodles. Omkara said to waiter.
Omkara noticed Ishanya scanning the entire space and asked her, "Are looking for something?
Ishanya got startled and looked at him, when he again repeated the question she said, "Wash room.
"Straight and left.Omkara instructed her.
She stood up to leave and at the same time waiter came to them with the order, he collided with her and due to the force the food fell from the waiter's hands and Ishanya's left hand which is filled with bangles pushed to the edge of the table making a couple of bangles break and Ishanya yell in pain.
She clutched her hand in pain and looked at the waiter frowning who apologized to her Ishanya just ignored him and stormed towards the wash room before Omkara could say anything. Omkara looked at her back confusing at her behavior.
He became worried for her as he had seen the pain back in her eyes. He thought that it is because of his comment on her. He again cursed himself for not being able to careful towards her.
"What was I thinking? Why did I utter those words? Just hope she doesn't again start ignoring me!! he thought to himself.
Ishanya got back from wash room and sat opposite him. Omkara can feel the sudden change in her aura. He can sense that she is not the playful, cheerful self like before.
Her eyes are empty without emotions, this made him nervous as he thought he is the reason for her sudden mood change. He tried to have a conversation with her but she replied to him in monosyllables. They had dinner in complete silence.
After dinner they both came out of restaurant and went to parking when Ishanya sat on her bike without even saying bye to him Omkara said, "I am sorry if I had hurt you in any way. I had a beautiful day spending time with you, I don't have any intention to hurt or make you sad.
Ishanya hadn't said anything and went from there leaving sad feeling Omkara behind who is staring at her retreating back. After she left the premises Omkara kicked the pot which was beside him in frustration and ran his hands in his hair and sat in his car.
"Kya hai yeh ladki? Kya ho jaata hai isse beech beech mein! Tab tak toh teek thi, sirf ek compliment ka itna reacton?! Pata nahi uska problem kya hai? Kyun aise behave karti hai!
"Mujhe toh laga ki ab hum dost bangaye hai lekin wohtoh bina bye bole hi chali gayi, meri sorry ko acknowledge tak nahi kiya! Gussa ho gayi toh chillati mujhpe! Dant laga thi, lekin iss tarah ek dam se chup hojane ka matlab kya hai? Aur mein bhi baar baar uski ignore karne par bhi uski taraf kyun keecha chala jata hu?
"Mujhe laga uski dard mujhe uski taraf keech ti hai par aaj jab who sab kuch bhul kar dance kar rahi thi toh pata nahi kya ek ajeed si sukkon aur bechaini ek saath mehsoos hui. Kya tha woh ehsaas jiski wajah se mein usmein itna kho gaya ki kya keh raha hu kyun keh raha hu pata hi nahi chala mujhe!!
"Aur mein ne aisi bhi kya galat baat bol di, bas itna hi kaha na ki you are gorgeous' iss mein usse kya itna bura lag gaya ki meri sorry tak ka reply nahi diya?!! Waise toh bahut samajhdaari ki baatein karti hai, lekin khud ki harkatein bhagwan ko bhi samajh nahi aayenge!!
"Ab bas hogaya uski badalte hue moods ke saath mein apne aap ko pareshan nahi karunga. Who baat kare toh baat karunga warna nahi. Ab mujhse nahi jhela jata uski mood swings bas hogaya. Aaj ka din kitna acha gujra tha, kitne khush the hum donon, par akhir mein sab pe paani pher diya!!He thought while driving all the way to Oberoi Mansion.
Ishanya reached her apartments, she parked her scooty and went up to her home lost in her thoughts. She stormed into her house. She untied the scarf from her neck and threw it on the floor. She straight away went to her room while removing her ear rings. She threw those on her dressing table. She faced herself in the mirror and started removing her bangles one by one while removing her breath got heavy. When one by one her bangles are coming out we can see the scratches on her hand few old, few fresh which she got in the restaurant.
"kya soch rahi thi tum? She started yelling at herself while looking in the mirror.
"Kya hua tumhe? Kyun uss ladke ko apne karib aane de rahi thi? Kyun din bhar uss ke saath ghum rahi thi? Apna sach janti ho na tum, toh kaise tum kisi ko apne paas aane de sakthi ho?
"Khud jal rahi ho, dusron ko kyun jhalana chahthi ho iss dard ke aag mein! Usse dekh ke toh lagta hai ki who khud hi apne uljhanon mein uljha hua hai toh tum kyun usse apne saath uljhana chahthi ho?
" Kya? Ha, kya lag raha hai tumhe? Tum agar sab kuch bhulne ke khoshish karoge toh tumhara ateeth mit jayega? Nahi!! Aur na hi tumhe apna ateeth bhulna chahiye.
" Tumhare ateeth mein job hi hua who iss duniya ka sach hai, kadwa sach! Usse bhulne ki galthi bilkul mat karna, mat bhulna usse!! Tum iss duniya mein akele ayi ho, akele jaaogi aur akele hi jeena padega. Koi tumhara saath nahi de saktha kabhi bhi nahi.
" Zindagi bhar ka saath, soulmates ye sab kuch bakwas hai, time-pass ki baatein hai bhul gayi adhi' ne kya kiya tha tumhare saath, bade bade promises kiya than a uss ne bhi par kya kiya? Bacha paya usne tumhe? Saath de paaya tumhara jab tumhe uski sab se zyada zaroorat thi?
" Uski chodo, tumhare khud ke papa ne kya kiya? Chale gaye na, wohbhi maa ke paas tumhe iss duniya mein ladne ke liye chodkar toh tum kyun ummeed kart hi ho ki koi tumhara saath de, tumhari care kare, tumhare saath rahe? Kyun akele jeena seekh nahi pa rahi ho? Kyun kyun? She yelled at herself and break down into sobs, she cried loudly letting her pain out.
She wiped her tears desperately and took a knife from the draw. She cut her left hand above the veins. "yehi tumhari punishment hai, tumhe yaad rakhna hoga she said to herself and cut her wrist few more times.
"Acha hua, sahi waqt pe yaad aya mujhe ki mein kya hu aur Omkara ko apne se due kardiya, warna usse bhi mere wajah se dard sehna padtha. Omkara ek bahut acha ladka hai uski jaise dost ki saath pana mere naseeb mein nahi likha. She said to herself and fell down breaking into sobs.
After few minutes she laid life less on the floor staring at the ceiling with her hand bleeding. Now she doesn't feel any pain or sorrow. She is numb right now staring at nothing feeling nothing. She is feeling numb just numb.
She got out of the numbness when she heard her door bell ringing. She got up in a suddenly, she looked at the clock to see the time. It's quarter past eleven.
She frowned in confusion thinking, who must have came here at this time. She stood up and felt her head spinning she took deep breaths and wiped her face with tissues, she hurried herself towards the door as the bell is being rang continuously.
She picked up her scarf and tied it around wrist while seeing through the key hole and placed on her shoulder taking it over her neck before opening the door.
She opened the door and asked, "Why did you come here yadav?
"Madam the information you have asked from Rathore sir is here. He said showing her the files.
"I have been calling you from the last three hours, are you ok madam? He said her showing his concern.
She just nodded yes.
"Rathore sir has asked to call you once after receiving the files, he is worried for you when I said you hadn't picked the calls. Yadhav said to her. To which too she nodded in reply as her head was throbbing and spinning from the whole crying but she didn't want it to show on her face or voice.
"I'll take your leave now, madam. He said and went away handing over the files to her.
Ishanya closed the door and looked at the files with new determination. She went inside and took her phone to call Rathore. "Hello, ACP sir. She said greeting him.
"Ishanya, what happened? Yadav said, that you aren't picking the calls. Is everything alright?
"Yes, ACP sir. I am fine. I just slept because of a tiered day. That's it. She replied.
"Yadav gave me the files which you had sent. Thank you so much ACP sir, even after being in delhi you investigated in Mumbai and that too soon. She said.
"That's fine Ishanya. Even I want that Lawyer Harshvardhan to be punished for his deeds. He escaped the criminals I have caught from court's judgement. You just send the files to ACP kulkarni after your work. He'll finish the rest. He said instructing her. "Ok, sir. Thanks again. She replied.
"Take care of yourself. He said and finished the call.
Ishanya got the flashes of the court room where she was insulted and hear his voice saying, "She is a prostitute, who sells herself for money.
Tears flew down from Ishanya's eyes remembering all this. She took a deep breath to calm herself and wiped her tears. "Now it's your time to cry Mr. Harshvardhan Rana.' She said to herself.
