Hey everyone, I am here with an SS on Rajveer-Naina. This was an OS before, but upon many people's request, I decided to continue it making it into a short story! This SS starts after when Naina comes to visit Rajveer in Jail after he was arrested for Colonel Shakti Chandra's murder This SS starts off with the same dialogues, but things changes later on!
Bharoosa - I believe in You - Rajveer-Naina
Part One
Rajveer was feeling cold and devastated. Each wall was carefully designed to hold him back from the freedom which he longed for. A small cell with barred doors and no windows confined him. He was tired, tried of proving himself everyday. He felt helpless, not being able to prove himself made him helpless. There was a battle, not just outside, but a battle inside him. He wanted to do something, he needed to do something, but he felt powerless.
He was laying down on a small metallic frame with a worn out mattress and thin blanket over half of his body. Those dark walls of the cell haunted him. He felt trapped like a bird in a cage. With his eyes closed, he was thinking about the horrible incident; the incident that brought him here. All the scenes started flashing through his mind; the way he was fighting with Colonel Shakti Chandra to take the gun away from his hand.
BOOM
The gunshot got him back to reality, causing him to open his eyes suddenly. When he opened his eyes, he felt something strange. He felt that the atmosphere changed, changed in a good way. He suddenly felt relieved. His eyes wondered around to find the reason for the sudden change in the atmosphere. Rajveer felt someone's presence. He felt attracted towards the cell bars.
He slowly sat up on his bed and looked over towards the bars. Yes, there she was standing. Getting up from the bed, he walked towards the cell bars. He saw tears in her eyes, making him more week and helpless. He can tolerate anything, but not tears in his "Naina's" eyes.
"Naina..", Rajveer whispered
She was just staring at him. She could feel his pain. She couldn't see her "Rajveer" like that. She was hurt, hurt to the core. Her face felt like a stone with no emotions. She wanted to end his pain. She wanted to break the barriers between them and just hug him tightly.
On the other hand, Rajveer was no less. He could see his own pain through her eyes. He could see her vulnerability.
Breaking the silence, Rajveer asked, "mujhse milne ke liye tumhe allow kisne kiya?"
She was still staring at him. She desired to put him in her embrace. Ignoring his question, she finally spoke, rather whispered, "sir.."
Directly looking into her eyes, he asked, "kya Naina?"
Fresh tears started flowing through her eyes. She wanted to say so much. She wanted to do so much, but, she felt impotent.
"I believe in you, sir!", those were the only words that escaped through her mouth, she could say no more.
(slow Rajveer-Naina sad tune started)
By hearing those words, Rajveer felt strong. These were the only words that were needed, but only from Naina - the one he loves.
Rajveer lowered his eyes.
"Mein janti hoon Colonel Shakti ko aapne nahi mara", stated Naina.
He looked back up and again stared into those beautiful hazel eyes. Rajveer was overjoyed with the trust Naina had in him.
"Thanks Naina!", those were the only words that came out of his mouth. He wanted to say so much. He wanted to tell her how much he loves her.
Naina couldn't take it anymore. She didn't have the courage to lose her Rajveer - the one she loves. After her Bhaiya's death, Rajveer was her everything. She couldn't see him like that.
"phir se wohi sab ho raha hai na sir. Phir se wohi dohraya ja raha hai. Ussi tarah...jis tarah unhoon ne Naveen bhaiya ko phasaya, ussi tarah trial chalayga, ussi tarah aapko bhi majboor kia jayega or phir aap bhi...", Naina couldn't complete the sentence. She didn't have the guts and courage to complete this sentence.
Tears escaped from Rajveer's eyes while he just stared at her.
Seeing her moving her head in a negative way, Rajveer finally spoke, "afsoos is baat ka hai Naina ke mein tum se apna kiya hua waada...nibha nahi paya."
"What the hell is he saying? Is he out of his mind? Even in this condition he is thinking about me. Just for once, can't he think for himself?", Naina thought while fresh tears escaped through her eyes as she just stared at him with a surprise.
"itni door aake bhi mein red box ko hasil nahi kar saka", fresh tears started to escape his eyes as he continued, "or aaj...or aaj ek begunaah ke khoon mein main inh salakhoon ke peechay hoon. You know what hurts me the most Naina? Aaj wo log jeet gayye."
Rajveer looked everywhere else but her. He was trying to hold his tears back.
Naina couldn't see her Rajveer like that. She couldn't see him week and couldn't let him lose.
"Nahi sir..", Naina spoke immediately, "aap aisa kaise keh sakte hain? Aap..aap aisa nahi keh saktay sir", she wouldn't let him lose.
"Nahi Naina maine..maine umeed nahi choori hai. I still hope ke mujhe is system se insaaf milega, kahin koi to hoga jo...jo ye samjhay ga ke mujhe phasaya gaya hai. Koi to hoga...", said Rajveer.
"No he can't just hope, he can't just wait for someone to help him. What if no one helps him? What is I loose him like Bhaiya? No...I can't let him just sit and hope", thought Naina as she looked at Rajveer with teary eyes.
"Sir agar mein aapse kahoon ke aap mujhe ek promise kareein...toh aap mujhe promise karege?", asked Naina
"Kya Naina?". Rajveer asked
"sir agar is system ne aapko insaaf nahi dia toh aap yahan se bhaagh jayege. Aap Naveen bhaiya ki tarah unko apne aapko torture nahi karne deenge...bikul nahi sir. Aapko bohut pehle bhaagna hoga...sir...please promise me...", asked Naina for a promise
Rajveer was speechless. He didn't know what to say. He knew that Naina respected him, but, today he found out that she also loves him like he loves her. She can stay away from him, but she cannot see him in pain. She wouldn't be able to see him being tortured like her bhaiya.
For few minutes, he stared into her eyes. Then looking down, he saw her hands holding the bars. Moving his hands further, Rajveer placed his hands on top of Naina's hand while he closed his eyes tightly. Tears started flowing through his eyes.
There was silence for few minutes as they were feeling each other's warm touch. Rajveer didn't speak through his mouth, but, his touch ensured her that he will fulfill her promise. Rajveer tightened the hold on her hand.
After few minutes, he opened his eyes and saw a smile on Naina's lips. Letting go of her hand, he turned around to go when Naina spoke, "Sir...Mein aapko itni aasani se haarne nahi doongi..chahe is ke liye mujhe kuch bhi kyun na karna pare."
That's it! That was the only thing that he needed. He needed her, her support her trust, but most importantly, he needed HER LOVE!
Rajveer turned around and there was a bright smile on his face. He again came towards her.
"I believe in Cadet Naina ah' Singh!", Rajveer said with a gorgeous smile on his face. Hearing this, another smile came on her lips.
Both Rajveer and Naina stayed like this as they stared into each other's eyes!
