ALWAYS WITH YOU!
Shivaay was taking Anika to the room in his arms. They were so lost in each other that they weren't aware of the fact that whole family was gawking at them. Sid gestured something to Ishana and then stepped forward with a smirk. Sid---- Ye chal kya raha hai? huh?
SHIVIKA came out of their daze. Shivaay stopped in his tracks and looked sideways to find the whole family looking at him and Anika.
Sid---- Main kuch puch raha hu Shivaay! YE CHAL KYA RAHA HAI? TU AUR ANIKA? AISE? (he asked in a teasing tone, grinning at SHIVIKA)
Shivaay---- Vo kya hai na ... ki Anika ke paer mai chor lagi hai and she is not able to walk properly. (he said genuinely)
On listening to this IshPriRu rushed towards SHIVIKA.
Ishana---- Kya? Paer mai lag gayi!
Rudra---- Anika Di aap thik to ho na?
Priyanka---- Par lagi kaise?
They all asked in a concerned voice and before Shivaay could answer any of them, Dadi interrupted.
Dadi---- Aree... Ab tum usse khade khade hi saare sawal puch loge kya? Billu puttar tu pehle Anika ko kamre mai lekar aa. Aur Sid, tu doctor ko phone kar.
On Dadi's order, Sid dialed doctor's number and Shivaay took Anika to his room while every family member followed them. Shivaay made Anika lay down on bed safely and then adjusted the cushions behind her so, she could sit comfortably. Once he was done, he turned to Sid.
Shivaay---- Doctor ko phone kara? Vo kab tak aa rahe hai?
Sid---- Bas abhi 15-20 minute mai pahoch hi rahe hai.
Shivaay nodded and sat beside Anika.
Shivaay---- Zyada dard to nahi ho raha? (he asked with concern)
Anika---- Zyada nahi ho raha... bas thoda sa.
Just then doctor arrived. He checked on Anika, he held Anika's leg and tried to move it in circular motion. But it was paining her a lot to do so.
Shivaay---- Doctor, band kariye ye karna! Apko dikh nahi raha ki usse kitna dard ho raha hai!
Doctor---- Mr. Obeori, ye karna zaruri hai, issi se to pata chalega ki inhe kya problem hai.
Doctor once again started to check her while Anika winced in pain. Shivaay couldn't see her like this.
Shivaay---- Thoda araam se kariye doctor, dard ho raha hai usse.
Doctor---- Mujhe to lag raha hai ki unse zyada dard to apko ho raha hai Mr. Oberoi. (he said with a smile)
SHIVIKA looked at each other on hearing the doctor's words. They were looking deep into each others eyes. The younger members of the family gave each other some knowing looks while elder ones held a worried expression on their faces.
Doctor---- Mr. Oberoi, I think that her muscle is a little damaged. (he said finishing his examination)
Shivaay---- To ab kya kare doctor?
Doctor---- Inhe 2 hafto tak complete bed rest lena padega aur I have prescribed some medicines, ye inhe regularly leni hogi. Aur roz apne pair par garam patti karni hogi! (he handed Shivaay a paper)
Shivaay---- Kab aur kaise deni hai ye medicines? (he asked while getting up)
After explaining everything regarding the dosage of medicines and taking the fees, the doctor left. Jahnvi came forward and sat beside Anika. They already know Anika as Prinku's friend from Delhi. They had even met her earlier, when they stayed in Delhi for a while. Anika always saw Jahnvi as a mother figure in her life because Jahnvi has been so caring and loving since she first met her. When AniPri were in school and Anika would often go at Prinku's home for projects and studies, Jahnvi would always treat her like her own daughter as she knew Anika was an orphan and give her a mother's love and affection. One day, Jahnvi had even insisted Anika on calling her 'mom' and Anika was really grateful for that. So, now after such a long time, Anika was more than happy to see her 'Jahnvi Maa'.
Anika---- Jahnvi Maa! (she squealed with delight)
Jahnvi without even saying a word hugged Anika tightly. Everyone was quite shock on witnessing this type of relationship between Jahnvi and Anika except TejPri as they were immune to it since older times. AnVi (Anika+jahnVi) broke the hug. Just then, Shivaay handed the medicine and a glass of water to Jahnvi and she made Anika have it. Shivaay also sat beside Jahnvi while she talked with Anika. Everyone took the seats on the bed beside each other. Even Dadi sat there, beside Anika, caressing her forehead. Anika was also introduced to Shakti and Pinky.
Jahnvi---- Vaise Anika, tumhe chot lagi kaise? (he asked in a concerned tone)
Shivaay---- Main batata hu Badi Maa, vo hua kya ki ham dono beach par the tab... (before he could complete his sentence, Rudra interrupted)
Rudra---- HAWW! BEACH pe? Aap kabhi mere saath to beach par gaye nahi aur Anika di ko bada beach ghuma rahe ho! Huhhh?! (he said with a pout while folding his arms)
Sid---- Haa Shivaay! Rudra bilkul sahi keh raha hai! Jab ham tughse bolte hai beach par chalne ko tab to tughe kuch kaam hota hai aur aaj tu Anika ke saath vaha par ghum raha tha! (he wriggled his eyebrows, giving Shivaay a teasing look)
Shivaay---- SHUT UP RUDRA! SHUT UP SID! (he said while glaring at them and IshPriOm laughed on getting the signal)
Jahnvi---- Chalo, koi baat nahi! Jo hona tha ho gaya! Anika ab tum araam karo ham sab chalte hai! Aur Shivaay main abhi tumhe garam patti dekar jaati hu, tum Anika ko ache se patti kar dena.
Shivaay---- Ok Badi Maa.
Everyone left Shivaay's room after wishing each other good night. As said, Jahnvi gave garam patti to Shivaay and left. Shivaay sat near Anika, took her foot and placed it in his lap. He started to wrap the patti on Anika's foot cautiously, taking care of that he doesn't harm her and Anika starred at him the whole time until he was finished. Shivaay lifted his eyes and his gaze fell on Anika's arm which was slightly bruised.
Shivaay---- Paanika? Tumhare haath mai bhi lagi hui hai! Ruko main dawai lekar aata hu. (he got up from the bed)
Anika then saw the scar on her arm. Shivaay took out the first aid box from the side drawer and went towards Anika. He took out a cotton ball and dipped it into the antiseptic liquid. He then took her hand in his and applied the liquid on Anika's wound. Then, he put a band aid on it. Anika continued starring at him and her eyes moistened. Shivaay looked up to find a tear roll down Anika's cheek. He placed his hand on her cheek and wiped that tear.
Shivaay---- Kya hua Paanika? Dard ho raha hai kya? (he asked in extremely polite voice)
Anika---- Pehle ho raha tha ab nahi. (she said looking deep into his eyes)
Anika hugged him out of the blue and started crying, her face hidden in his shoulder. Shivaay instantly knew something was wrong with her but instead of asking that, he consoled her. He let her cry because he knew sometime it's better to let out all your emotions then locking them away in your heart. He caressed her hair till she calmed down and her tears stopped flowing.
Shivaay---- Kya hua Paanika? (he whispered in her ear, still hugging her)
Anika slowly broke the hug and looked at Shivaay. Shivaay cupped her face in his hands and whipped the remaining tears off her face with his thumbs and waited for Anika to say something. After which seemed like hours, Anika started talking.
Anika---- Apko pata hai... jab mai choti thi tabse hi maine apna dhyan khud rakhna seekha hai. Jab girti thi to khud uthkar chalna bhi seekha hai. Jab chot lagti thi tab khud ki patti karna seekha hai. Jab jab anaath hone ka taana milta tha tab tab duniya se akele ladna bhi seekha hai. (she removed Shivaay's hand from her face and held it softly in her own hands and continued) Maine hamesha se hi sab kuch akele seekha hai aur sab kuch akele hi kara hai. Mujhe hamesha se yahi lagta tha ki main bilkul akeli hu aur mujhe jo bhi karna hai akele hi karna hai Par... (she let out a small snob and tried to control her tears) Par... Par aaj mujhe aisa nahi lag raha... Aaj mujhe lag raha hai ki agar main girungi to koi mera haath pakadke mujhe uthayega. Agar mujhe chot lagegi to koi meri patti bhi karega. Aaj mujhe aisa lag raha hai ki koi aur bhi hai jisse meri fikar hai, jisse mere udas hone se farak padta hai. Isliye Thank you Billu ji! Thank you! Mujhe aisa mehsoos karwane ke liye.
She started to cry again and rested her head on his chest. Shivaay was left a little speechless on hearing Anika pour her heart out to him but he maintained his composure and took her in a loose hug with his hand around her shoulders to comfort her. None of them spoke, not breaking the calming silence. They stayed like that, holding each other for what seemed like eternity. Lastly, Shivaay pulled out from the hug and kept one of his hand on her cheek and started caressing it lightly.
Shivaay---- Mere hote huye tum kabhi bhi akeli nahi ho Paanika. I am with you... always. (his voice was determined)
Anika looked inside his eyes for reassurance and yet again a tear rolled down her cheek on seeing the truthfulness of his words visible clearly in his eyes.
Shivaay---- You know what Paanika...? Maine tumhara naam PAANIKA rakh kar bilkul sahi kiya! (Anika raised her eyebrow at this) Tum jab dekho roti rehti ho! Ro rokar tumne meri puri shirt bhiga di hai! See! (he said while smiling cheekily, trying to cheer her up)
Anika let out a small chuckle and hit on his shoulder playfully.
Shivaay---- Chalo ab so jao! Kaafi raat ho gayi hai!
Anika---- Haa, vo to thik hai par yahi par?
Shivaay---- Koi problem hai tumhe?
Anika---- Ye to apka kamra hai na! Fir aap kaha soyenge?
Shivaay---- Yahi par! (he patted on the spot just next to her)
Anika---- MATLAB? (her eyes widened)
Shivaay---- Matlab se kya matlab hai tumhara? (he hid his grin at her reaction)
Anika---- Yahi ki... ki.. aap aur.. main ek... saath aise kaise... (she said getting extremely awkward)
Shivaay couldn't keep up with his act anymore and broke into laughter while Anika looked at him confused.
Anika---- Apko itni hasi kyo aa rahi hai?
Shivaay continued laughing, ignoring Anika's question. She glared at him and took a pillow and smashed it on his head and laughed.
Shivaay---- OW! Pagal ho kya?
This time Anika ignored him and smashed the pillow again on his head but Shivaay stopped her in between.
Shivaay---- Tum lucky ho jo tumhare paer mai lagi hui hai! Agar nahi lagi hoti to na to...
Anika---- To kya kar lete aap?
Shivaay---- To tum bhi iss pillow se maar kha rahi hoti!
Anika---- Acha ji!
Shivaay---- Haan ji! Aur ab so jao! (Anika opened her mouth to say something but Shivaay continued) Aur chinta mat karo I'll sleep on the couch!
Shivaay got up from the bed and Anika laid down. He covered Anika with the blanket while she gave him a smile. Shivaay turned and was about to turn off the light.
Anika---- Billu ji! Light off mat kijiye! (Shivaay looked at her surprised)
Shivaay---- Don't tell me Paanika ki tumhe andhere se dar lagta hai!
Anika looked at him nervously and Shivaay took that as a yes.
Shivaay---- Fine! Main ye lamp khula rehne deta hu.
He switched off all the lights except the lamp near his bed where Anika was going to sleep. He took a blanket and a pillow and laid down on the couch to sleep. Anika turned her back on Shivaay and smiled to herself, remembering his words 'Mere hote huye tum kabhi bhi akeli nahi ho Paanika. I am with you... always.' She couldn't stop smiling and fell asleep just like that. Shivaay looked at Anika who was back facing her and probably asleep because of the tiring day. A smile crept up on his face as he recalled today's day. Anika hugging him, holding his hand, he lifting her up, they doing aarti together, he recalled literally everything, like he was replaying the whole day in his mind and of course his small realisation at the beach. And in midst of thinking all this, he didn't know when sleep took over him.
AUTHOR'S NOTE:
Hey! I know it's a very late update and shorter than usual. But I am really sick from past few days and on top of that I broke my right hand. I have written all of this with my left hand. And also my exams are starting from 8th September. So, I think you might understand my situation. And maybe... I'll not able to write for a while because of my broken arm...
