Next day
The whole Raizada family reached Mumbai in afternoon flight. After reaching there they went to their villa in Mumbai. Khushi and Payal had already gone to their home in morning itself. The whole Raizada family was very sad on their departure.
They wanted Khushi and Payal to accompany them to Mumbai with kids. They somewhere had feeling that they would agree at least in the last moment. But when they actually left, they were sad. But controlling their emotions, they packed everything and left for Mumbai.
They were supposed to stay in Mumbai for almost one month for Anjali's marriage. Anjali's in laws are settled there in Mumbai. So they wanted Samar and Anjali's marriage to take place in Mumbai for which the Raizada family agreed.
They had come to Mumbai before one month itself for making marriage preparation and other things so that there is no shortcomings in the marriage.
Samar Randhawa belonged to a well known high class family. They were rich and sophisticated even though they are not as rich as Raizadas. But still the family had a very good name in the society. Samar was the only son of his parents.
Samar is a software engineer. He has a six year old daughter, Riya, from his first marriage. Like Anjali, Samar also had a bitter past. His first marriage was a failure. His wife had cheated on him with her ex-lover and tried to run away with him. But unfortunately both were killed in an accident.
Earlier he was working in a multinational company and was settled in New York. Later after his wife's death, he shifted to India with his daughter and started a software company in Delhi. Now the company is one of the topmost company in India in the sector.
Anjali had met Samar and Riya two years back in an NGO which she used to visit. The NGO belonged to Samar's Mami where he used to visit. Anjali and Riya grew close in the first meeting itself. Anjali felt a motherly feeling for Riya.
After knowing how the little girl had lost her mother, the fondness only increased. Anjali and Samar became friends through Riya. With time Anjali and Riya's bond became unbreakable. Anjali felt Riya as her lost child. Her Rajkumari.
Samar and Anjali also came close. Before one year Samar proposed her. Anjali initially refused owing to her insecurities but later accepted. Both decided to take their relation forward slowly. After one year of courtship, they decided to marry.
Both the families met and everything was discussed. Even though Samar's Dadi was initially against the marriage but later she also accepted for Samar and Riya's happiness. The person who was most happy with this marriage was Riya as she can't wait to bring her Anjali Ma home as her Mumma.
Since Samar was the only son of the family, Anjali had to move in with his family after marriage. This made Raizadas sad. But they couldn't do anything. There was no way Samar would leave his family and come to live with them.
After settling down, everyone had dinner and retired to bed early as they had to go to meet Samar's family the next day. Even though everyone was happy for Anjali, there was a sadness in everyone's heart including Anjali. They all missed Khushi, Payal and the kids.
They felt like the house was empty without the chatter and antics of the kids. All were sad remembering the kids and their mothers. They wanted them to come back.
Arnav had earlier called Khushi in pretext of discussing something about the project, to know if they have reached safely or not. Khushi informed him that they are fine and cut the immediately not talking much. He was disappointed with her unresponsiveness.
Next day morning
The whole Raizada family was ready to go to Samar's house. Settling in two cars they moved towards one of the most posh areas of Mumbai where Samar's house was situated. Reaching the address which was given to them, they was a big compound with name board "AKR" written on it.
Inside they saw three big mansions. One of the mansion was 10 times bigger than Shantivan and other two were also moderately big. Seeing the car the security man rushed to them. After informing him that they came to meet Samar's family, they were directed to one of the small mansions.
Parking the cars outside, they are came out. Looking around they felt a calmness seeping inside them. The atmosphere was very relaxing. All the three mansions were built in highly modern manner still there was a natural touch to it due to the big gardens and the trees that surrounded it.
Coming in front of the main door of the house, Akash rang the doorbell. Few minutes later, a servant opened the door and led them to the living room. There in the living room sat three people two ladies and one man.
The elder lady was in her seventies which the other lady and the man was in their late fifties. The elder lady, Renuka Randhawa was the matriarch of the Randhawa family. She is a person who followed customs and traditions very much yet has a very modern thinking. She is strict and very sharp with words.
The other two were Samar's parents. His father, Siddharth Randhawa was a journalist who owned a channel named, "Hindustan's voice" (imaginary, I don't know whether there is a channel with that name or not. So please pardon me). He is a very supportive and understanding person.
His mother Jyothi Randhawa is a professor. She works in a very reputed college in Mumbai as Economic lecturer. She is a very kind woman with high values. She loves her family a lot.
Seeing the Raizadas they stood up from their place. Anjali came forward and took their blessings. They all settled in the living room and started having refreshments. Jyothi asked a servant to call Samar who came down few minutes later.

Samar came down. He also took the blessings of elder Raizadas and hugged Arnav and Akash. They all settled in living room chitchatting. Jyothi noticed Anjali searching for something.
Jyothi: What happened Anjali? Do you need anything?
Anjali: No Aunty. I was just looking for Riya. We didn't see her since we came.
Everyone smiled hearing that.
Samar: She is not here, Anju. Yesterday her Bua Ma and siblings came back from their trip. So she has gone there for a sleepover.
The Raizadas frowned hearing that.
Mami: Samar Bitwa, you hab a isister (sister). You neber (never) tells ush.
Randhawas smiled hearing that.
Samar: She is my Mamu's daughter. But she is like my own sister. She is the life of our family. Since she was the only girl child. Everyone loves and pamper her so much. Riya is very attached to her. After Riya's mother's death, she only used to take care of Riya as her own daughter. She is almost ten years younger than me. So more than a sister she is my child. Riya also loves her very much. When we come here, she could stick to her all the time and mostly would be at her home only.
Mami: Oh.
Samar (on seeing Anjali's disappointed face): Anju, you don't worry. Riya will come here right now. She knows her Anjali Ma is coming.
Anjali smiled hearing that. At that time, everyone heard a sweet voice calling "Anjali Ma". Anjali's face lit up. Everyone looked towards the source of sound. A little cute girl of six years came running inside.
But what shocked the Raizadas were the people who entered behind the little girl. There stood Khushi and Payal with the five kids. The Raizadas were shocked would be an understatement.
Riya went and hugged Anjali tightly who was frozen in her place.
Riya: Anjali Ma. When did you come. You know I missed you a lot. Now you will marry Daddy and become my Mumma. Then we will stay together always. I am so happy.
Riya was going on and on about how happy she was regarding Samar and Anjali's marriage. But the Raizadas were too stunned on seeing Khushi and Payal that they didn't register anything happening around them.
Khushi and Payal came inside and gave a side hug to Samar. Samar reciprocated it happily. He then bent down and hugged and kissed each of the kids. After that he turned towards Raizadas who were still looking stunned.
Samar: Anju..
No response.
Samar (little loudly): Anju
Raizadas were jerked out of their trance.
Anjali (disorientedly): Yeah.. yeah...
Samar (pointing at Khushi): Anju, she is the person about whom I was talking. Kuku aka Khushi Agnihotri. My little sister.
Anjali (shocked): Huh.
Samar (smiling): She is my little sister aka Riya's Bua Ma, Kuku. Khushi Agnihotri. She is a very big business tycoon. You guys might have heard about her. (Pointing at Payal) And this is my another sister Payal. She is Dadi's little sister's granddaughter. Actually Dadi's little sister has two daughters, Garima Bua and Aastha Bua. Payal's Garima Bua's daughter and Kuku's Aastha Bua's daughter. Kuku is also my Mumma's younger brother Shlok Mamu's daughter. So we have double relation with her. I know you must be confused with the relations. Don't worry. You will understand everything when you will meet everyone. Today evening there's a get together at Kuku's house. There we will meet the whole family then you will understand everything OK.
Samar was saying everything but what happened was the whole Raizadas were too shocked on hearing that Khushi is Samar's sister that they didn't hear anything that he said further.
Khushi and Payal smirked seeing Raizadas faces. They knew they were shocked out of their wits learning their relation with Samar.
Riya shook Anjali's hand and brought her back to world. Anjali looked at her.
Riya: Anjali Ma, you didn't meet my brothers and sisters na. Come I will show you.
She brought Anjali to the kids.
Riya: Anjali Ma, This is my big brother, Aru Bhayya aka Arav Agnihotri. This is Akki aka Akira Gupta and these three are triplets- Arsh, Arush and Arshi Agnihotri. Akira's Payal Bua's daughter and other four are Bua Ma's kids.
Saying that Riya smiled widely on her achievement of introducing her siblings to her Anjali Ma. Anjali gave her a weak smile too shocked on knowing everything.
After that elders settled in the living room and the kids went to Riya's room for playing.
Raizadas were shocked knowing everything. They couldn't understand what was happening in front of them. Khushi and Payal, Samar's sisters. It was too much for them to digest. They felt all their past running in front of them.
Four years back, it was Khushi in Arnav's place, Payal on Anjali's place and Akash in Samar's place. Now everything has changed. The tables have turned. Four years back Khushi had to fight for her sister's happiness and loose her everything. Now Arnav was standing at the same place. Four years back Payal's life was at stake but now it was Anjali.
Four years back Akash was the one who was ready to sacrifice for Anjali and Arnav but now Samar looked as if he could do anything for his sisters.
Arnav looked at Samar who was happily talking with Khushi. He could see the same love and affection in Samar's eyes which he has for Anjali. He felt a shiver run down his spine.
What if Samar find the truth. What if Samar comes to know about their past. Then what will happen to Anjali. He could see that Samar has the same love for Khushi. What if he also destroys Anjali's life for Khushi's happiness just like he had destroyed Khushi's life for Anjali's happiness.
He felt suffocated. His own deeds are standing in front of him. His own deeds frightened him. What if the same deeds come back and ruin his sister's life. The same sister for whom he did everything. The same sister for whose life he had ruined so many lives to see her happy.
Today his sister's happiness is in the hands of the same person whose life he has ruined for his sister. What will happen now. Will they get punishment for their deeds and loose everything or a new chance will be given.
The situation of the other Raizadas were also same. Nani could see her family's mistakes coming in front of them. Four years back Gupta family used to be in their place. And they had mercilessly ruined the lives of their daughters. Now their own daughter's life is in their hands. Only God knows what will happen.
Mami looked shocked and frightened. Her past deeds all were running before her eyes. All that she had done to the two sisters were in front of her. She just hoped that her own deeds doesn't affect her Anjali Bitiya's life. If anything happens to Anjali because of her mistakes she won't be able to forgive herself.
Akash sat stunned in his place. He couldn't just move. He felt paralyzed. Khushi and Payal, Samar's sisters. His brain had stopped working since this information entered inside.
All the hurtful words and things that he did to Payal for Anjali came in front of his eyes. He felt horrible remembering that. He didn't know what is going to happen in his sister's life. He could just pray that their past doesn't affect Anjali's future.
Looking beside he saw his brother sitting with the same expression. Their mistakes are coming back to haunt them. Will it affect their sister's life or not, only time can say. The key to their sister's happiness laid in the hands of the same people whose life they had mercilessly destroyed for the same sister.
Anjali couldn't grasp anything happening around her. She could see her family looking worried and shocked. The fiance and to be in laws were sitting around her talking. She could see her mother in law telling her something but her brain was too hazy to register anything.
Her life had come to a standstill in few minutes. The dream of the happy future she had seen with Samar and Riya seemed like going far away from her. She looked at her sister in laws talking happily with their brother. It brought her own memories with her brothers.
The same memory which she never wanted to loose for which she had acted selfish. She had ruined the life of the two girls sitting in front of her. What if her past mistakes snatch the only chance of happiness that she has at life. She shuttered at the thought.
A life without Samar and Riya was something that she couldn't think. What if it happens. She won't be able to survive. She knew that she is a weak woman. More than physically she is emotionally weak. Instead of becoming strong due to her past experience she had become more weak.
But she can't help it. It's not like everyone will become strong after a bad experience. Some people just couldn't cope up with it. She was one of them. If Shyam was her weakness earlier, then now it's Samar and Riya. But either way she needs Samar and Riya in her life to survive.
She can't loose them. And now her own mistakes have brought her to a place where everything that she held dear is at stake. Will she get it back or will she loose it. Her own mistakes haunted, frightened her. Will she ever be able to come out of her past and make a new start. The uncertainty killes her.
The Raizadas were brought out of their thoughts by Renuka who turned to them.
Renuka: I think we should talk about the things for which we have gathered here. As we have already discussed, Samar and Anjali's marriage will happen here at Mumbai and the Panditji has said that there is a good muhurat after one month. So I think we should keep the marriage on that day.
Nani: jaise aap teek samjhe (As you find it right)
Renuka: OK then. We will start the preparations. From ourside Kuku is looking after the preparations and Payal will help her. Kuku has an event management company here and Payal also runs hotels. So they will be doing all the arrangements for the marriage. Since you guys are new here, you can take their help with the preparations. So that only I called you there to meet them.
Raizadas looked at each other. Nani nodded at Arnav.
Arnav: OK. We will take their help. From our side me and Akash will be looking after the arrangements. So we will work together.
Samar (smiling): That's great.
Khushi (to Samar, smiling): So Bhai. How do you want your marriage to be. Any special things that you need. Tell me now itself. So that I can make arrangements.
Samar: Anything that you find it right. I know you guys will only do the best for us. We have full faith in you guys. Right Anju.
Anjali (smiling): Yeah.
Samar: So it is fixed. My sisters and Anju's brothers will make arrangements for the marriage.
Everyone smiled hearing that.
Jyothi: Also there is another thing that we wanted to tell you. Actually there is a get together that we have planned. It's this evening. I know it's on short notice. But it is just a family get together. Only family members will present. We just wanted to introduce you all to our family members.
Siddharth: Yeah, Don't worry. Not much people will be there. Only our family, Kuku's family, Payal's family and their my Maasi's family will be there. We just wanted to introduce everyone. That's all. So you guys please come OK.
Nani: Yes, we will surely come.
Arnav: Hmm. Where is the get together.
Samar: At Kuku's house. The big mansion that you would have seen while coming in. That's Kuku's house.
Renuka: Here all the houses in this compound belongs our family only. AKR as in Agnihotris, Kirloskars and Randhawas. The big mansion is Agnihotri Mansion, then the house is my sister's house, Kirloskar Mansion and this is our house Randhawa Mansion. Payal's family Guptas also stays at Agnihotri Mansion. Payal is making her house behind this Mansion. The work is going on. So they are staying at Agnihotris for now.
Arnav: Hmm. OK.
Renuka: OK then. That's sorted. I think we should discuss about the marriage preparations.
Mamaji: Yeah
Elders started talking. Samar looked at Khushi and Payal.
Samar: Come Kuku, Payal. I will introduce you to Arnav and Akash.
He brought them to the Raizada men.
Samar: Kuku, This is Arnav, Anjali's brother and this is Akash, Anjali's cousin.
After Introducing them Samar went and sat talking to Anjali. Khushi and Payal looked at Arnav and Akash standing in front of them.
Khushi (extending her hand towards Arnav): Hello, Mr Raizada.
Arnav (gulped and shaking her hand): Hello.
Arnav and Khushi looked at Anjali and Samar talking. One with a smirk while other with a worried expression.

Samar Randhawa
He is a software engineer. He is 36 year old. He runs a software company. He is calm, composed, loving, caring, honest, sincere and family oriented person. He loves his family a lot specially his siblings and is very protective of them. His daughter is his life.
He is settled in Delhi for his business purpose. Earlier he was working in a multinational company in New York. He got married seven years before to his first wife. It was an arranged marriage. She was not interested in him but his money. She always wanted a lavish lifestyle. When she conceived Riya, she wanted to abort her but Samar became adamant and that's why Riya came into the world. After four months of Riya's birth, she tried running away with her lover after taking Samar's savings but both were killed in an accident. After that Khushi came as his help and took care of Riya.
Later he came back to India and settled in Delhi. He had lost faith in love after the betrayal of his first wife but after Anjali entered his life, he started again believing in love. He loves Anjali so much.
He is also Khushi's brother. He loves Khushi so much more than anyone. Since she was the only girl child in the family everyone used to love and pamper her a lot. Samar always considered Khushi as his child due to their age difference. He loves and cares for her so much. He can do anything for his sister's happiness.
He first saw her when he was ten years old. His mother had laid the small Barbie doll like little baby with blue eyes in his lap. Since then he was very protective of her. He could do anything for her happiness. Being the eldest child in the family he always felt responsible for the safety of his younger siblings specially Khushi as she was the youngest.
He knew what had happened in her and Payal's life but never knew the person responsible for it. He always felt anger and helplessness that he couldn't do anything for his sister's happiness.
He also loves Khushi's and Payal's kids as his own. He was always their protective Mama. Arav was his favorite as he could see himself in Arav. The protective big brother of his younger siblings.
Riya Randhawa
She is the six years old daughter of Samar. She is very cute, loving, caring, funny, mischievous and happy go lucky girl. She loves her family a lot. He Daddy is her world. She doesn't have any memory of her biological mother and considers Anjali as her mother. She is waiting for Daddy's marriage with her Anjali Ma so she can bring her as her Mumma. She loves her Bua Ma (Khushi) very much. She is a complete Bua Ma's girl. Loves to act like and be like her Bua Ma. She wants to become like her Bua Ma after growing up. She loves her siblings very much. Her Aru Bhayya is her favorite. She likes to act big sister for her younger siblings.
Renuka Randhawa
She is Samar's Dadi. Khushi's Badi Nani She is a very strong headed lady. Very strict with her principles. Always followed traditions and customs. But have a very modern thinking. She believes that woman should be independent and smart. According to her, women are no less than men so should never bent in front of them.
She always believed in hardwork and self respect. People should earn for themselves. She believed that woman should be given chance and freedom to live their lives and not chained in kitchen. She had always encouraged women to work outside.
When her daughter in law expressed her interest in working, she readily agreed and supported her. She was dead against taking dowry while marrying Siddharth to Jyothi and didn't took a single penny from the Agnihotris during their marriage.
She loves her grandchildren and great-grandchildren very much and Khushi is her favorite. Because one she is the youngest and other she felt Khushi like her. Khushi was a girl who was always independent and smart. That always made her Renuka's favorite. She could do anything for her little Kuku's happiness.
She was against Samar and Anjali's marriage initially. The reason was simple she never liked the weak Anjali. She believed that a person becomes weak by mind not by body. When she saw Anjali being pampered by her family because she couldn't walk and had a bitter past, it irked her. Anjali always being in the shadow of her brother and family members was something she couldn't accept. She wanted a strong girl for her grandson not a woman who always cry on her fate.
She was against their marriage due to Anjali's approach towards life where she always want someone to protect her and never fighting for herself, it was something that Renuka Randhawa can't accept. So she rejected their marriage. But later she agreed because of Khushi's persuasion and Samar and Riya's happiness. She believed that she could change Anjali after marriage.
Siddharth Randhawa
He is Samar's father. Khushi's Bade Mamu A very honest, loving, caring, sincere man. He always believed in hardwork and determination. He is a self made man who had come up in life due to his own hard work. Loves his wife and family a lot. Loves Khushi as his own daughter and can do anything for her. He is very happy about Samar and Anjali's marriage.
Jyothi Randhawa
Samar's mother. Khushi's Bua. She is a very sweet, caring, loving, independent and confident lady. She is the elder daughter of Agnihotri Family. She is very supportive and understanding wife of Siddharth and a loving and caring mother of Samar. She loves her family a lot. Her Mother in law is like her own mother who has supported her always. She is very kind and generous. She loves Khushi as her own daughter. She is very happy about Samar and Anjali's marriage.
