Khushi pulled up the blanket over her body and sighed, she started counting sheep to fall asleep.

She tossed and turned, she lifted her legs in the air, she put on two blankets on her then took off both the blankets, she hugged the pillow, she groaned into the pillow and she threw the pillow away and tried to sleep against the headboard of the bed but NONE OF IT WORKED.

She missed Arnav so much. But what can Khushi do? Arnav is angry at her and thinks she was trying to get their baby killed.

She got fed up and got up, coming out of the room to find it all dark as Arnav had gone asleep in the separate room.

She walked to his room and opened the door before quietly tiptoeing inside. She softly laid down beside him and cuddled a bit to Arnav, automatically a smile came on her lips and she tried to sleep before Arnav's eyes wide-opened making her gulp.

"WHAT THE?!!! WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE? I DON'T WANNA SLEEP BESIDE YOU, KHUSHI KUMARI GUPTA!" He roared.

"How did you wake up? I did everything so quietly...UGHHH!"

"Excuse me, did you f**king forget my superpowers? I could smell your cheap rose perfume the moment you were at my room's door." Arnav rolled his eyes.

"My perfume is not cheap!" Khushi hit her fist against him and cuddled to him again, wrapping her leg around his waist as she pulled up a blanket over them. "I miss you...I can't sleep without you. I just can't. I dunno why."

"I don't wanna sleep with you, Khushi. Do you not understand this simple thing?"

"SHUT UP! I DID NOT DO ANYTHING! WHY ARE YOU BEING SO RUDE TO ME?! NK BHAIYYA CAME AND STARTED DRAGGING ME OUTSIDE BEFORE I COULD EVEN PROTEST!"

Arnav ignored her words and left the bed. Khushi groaned out loudly and then screamed with annoyance. Stupid werewolf!

She tried to sleep, closing her eyes but she couldn't. 20 minutes passed and she still could not sleep.

So she got up again, going to wherever Arnav is...

"Arnav?" Khushi called out only to find Arnav sitting against a wall in the corner of the storeroom. His cheeks were wet with tears and there was a crumpled photograph in his hands.

She walked nearer to him to find him holding a photograph of a man shaking his hand with a little boy.

"That's my dad." Arnav suddenly spoke up, making her alert. "This is the only happy memory I have from my childhood. My dad was killed by an enemy wolfpack when I was 8 years old."

Khushi gulped. "Th-that's really sad.."

"You know why I don't have a mother in this picture? It's cos she left the moment she realized her baby will be a werewolf. She was a human while my father was a werewolf. She didn't want me. So she left me. My dad died also. So, basically, I had no happy childhood." Arnav choked on his voice as more tears came out of his eyes. "And now..."

He stared at her stomach. "Now I think my baby will have a life like me too. With a mother who does not want him. You don't want our baby, right, Khushi?"

Khushi gasped. "No Arnav! That's not true! I do want our baby! Look I know I was being too immature about this pregnancy but I was too shocked and felt really lonely as NK bhaiyya was in hospital and I always feel like you hate me ever since I rejected to be your mate. So I just felt really weak and felt like I won't be able to do it but today when Rishabh and others tried to hurt me I realized that I love my baby a lot and I won't let anyone harm it!" The protectiveness and possessiveness for the baby in Khushi's voice didn't go unnoticed by Arnav and a smile came on his lips. He put down the photograph and hugged her.

"You're not alone. And I don't hate you. I used to feel like I cared about you only cos of my wolf but I feel that with time I have started caring for you. I don't wanna fight with you anymore." he kissed her hair.

"I care for you too. And yes I don't wanna fight too." she hugged him back. "Now stop ignoring me and living away from me. Let me cuddle you." Khushi spoke stubbornly making Arnav chuckle.

"Come cuddle with me." Arnav picked Khushi up and took her to the bedroom.
