~ The faith of love ~
"Arohi...jaldi aa..." A sharp cry emerged from the drawing room of the Sharma House tearing the serenity of the morning. Arohi, who was still in a deep sleep didn't show any urge to get up.
"Please Shefali mujhe sone de..." She cried from her room while covering herself with the blanket properly.
"Arohi Arjun Singhania ka interview aa raha hai..." Shefali's voice rose again.
"Shefali tu..." But Arohi's eyes fluttered open as soon as she realized what had Shefali uttered after a moment, "What...?" She got up in a jolt and came down from the bed and ran towards the drawing room.
The drawing room was filled with the sound of the TV where a man was wearing a dark brown suit and was giving an interview; was Arjun, Arjun Singhania; the only son of Business tycoon Rudrapratap's Singhania. To be turned out as a Singhania is obviously a fortunate thing; and so he never disrespected this position, this faith and his dad, who is the embodiment of God for him.
"Ye kitna handsome hai nah..." Shefali spoke in a hushed tone.
"Shhh...!" But Arohi gestured her to be silent and sat beside her on the sofa, in-front of the TV. Her eyes were set on him, on his dimples, his movements and his eyes. His eyes always attracted Arohi, as if she could drown in their depths, she wondered for the umpteenth time that why she could not control her emotions every time she looked at him, his eyes seemed to have some magnetic hold over her senses; she could not take her eyes off from them.
The interview ended soon and Shefali switched off the TV. She was about to move when Arohi's voice approached from beside her,
"Shefali mujhe iss se milna hai..."
"Kis se...?" Shefali asked, totally confused.
"Are...Arjun se..." Arohi said facing her, "Mujhe Arjun ko batana hai nah ki mei usse kitna pyaar karti hun...mujhe usse kitni mohabaat hai..." A soft smile placed on Arohi's lips.
"Arohi..." Shefali shook her head, "I know tera dimaag thoda satak jata hai Arjun ko dekh ke but aaj kuch zyada hi ho gaya..."
"Shefali I am serious...mei Arjun se pyaar karti hun...aur..." But Shefali stopped Arohi,
"Ye pyaar nahi hai buddhu ise infatuation kehte hai...I know Arjun tera crush hai..."
"Ab mein itni bhi bachhi nahi hun ki infatuation aur pyaar ke beech ka farak na samaj pau..." Arohi made a face and went on saying, "Mujhe ajeeb lagta hai Shefali...Arjun ki ankho mei kuch hai...kuch magic jaisa...mei apne aap ko control hi nahi kar pati hun...mujhe aisa lagta hai ki hum dono ke beech kuch toh hai...kuch connection...tujhe kya lagta hai...?" She turned at Shefali, Shefali was listening to her. Everyone knows that Arohi has a huge crush on Arjun. But that was quite normal, but what was Arohi saying was totally madness and it was not possible in her wildest dreams. But Arohi's eyes were so full of love that Shefali could not understand what to say to her,
"Arohi I think you are getting obsessed with Arjun...woh kahan aur hum kahan...tujhe in saab cheezo se ab nikalna hai...aur tujhe kyun lagta hai ki Arjun..."
"Because I know that he is my soul-mate...I believe that..." Arohi said cuts her off. "Aur tu maan ya na maan ek na ek din ye jarur sabid ho jayega..." Arohi spoke again looking at Shefali,
"You are incorrigible..." Shefali commented, Arohi said nothing she just smiled,
"Tum dono phir se subah subah shuru ho gaye...?" Arohi and Shefali both turned hearing a delicate voice from the back, Savita entered with a bowl full of sugar in her hand,
"Ye le Shefali...shakkar..." She gave the bowl to Shefali.
"Tu shakkar lene ayi thi...mujhe laga..." But she could not complete her words as a big yawn disturbed her; it was a pure example that she was still sleepy,
"Kya laga tha tujhe...Arjun Singhania ka interview dekhke tujhe uthane ayi hun..." She made a sarcastic smile.
"Ufff...Arohi tera ye pagalpan...kya karu mei iski..." Savita shook her head looking at Shefali,
"Wahi toh...Arohi nah puri tarah pagal ho chuki hai...mei toh kehti hun Aunty ap iski shadi karwa do..." Shefali smiled and commented.
"Shefali phir se shadi ki baat...!!!" Arohi's voice rose a bit.
"Achha...achha..." Shefali controlled the situation and then she turned at Savita, said,
"Aunty mei ati hun...ghar pe Ma wait kar rahi hongi..." Savita nodded and was about to move when Arohi stopped her,
"Ma...mei Shefali ke saath thoda bahar ho aau...bas church tak hi jayungi..."
"Haan jao...par jaldi aa jana..." Arohi nodded.
Shefali and Arohi were walking slowly on the road. A cool breeze was making the morning more pristine. As a city, Dehradun is a small one but it has its own charm. They both were silent, as if the serenity of this morning has made them calm from within.
"Tujhe lagta hai nah ki mein pagal ho gayi hun...?" Arohi asked, breaking the silence between them.
"Haan...kyun tujhe doubt hai iss baat ka...?" Shefali tried to make this topic funny but Arohi's expression signaled her not to do that, "Arohi...actually kabhi kabhi jab tu ye saab kehti hai mujhe tu bahot childish lagti hai...infatuation toh sabko hoti hai par use pyaar maan lena thoda jyada hota hai..." She said looking at her,
Arohi smiled, "Tujhe pata hai insaan ko apni puri zindagi mein bahot se logon ko achha lagta hai, lekin koi ek aisa hota hai jise dekh ke lagta hai...haan...yehi hai...mere liye ise hi banaya gaya hai...tab sare logic...reasons...kuch mayne nahi rakhta...mere saath bhi aisa hi hua...meine aaj tak kabhi Arjun ke ek bhi picture collect nahi kiya...kabhi use social site pe stalk bhi nahi kiya...mei bas use mehsus kiya..." Shefali was looking at her, silently, her emotions were deep and so deep that Shefali felt a certain fear of the future.
The warmth of the sun was gradually increasing and with that the serenity was collapsing.
"Arohi mujhe ab jana chahiye..." Shefali said.
Arohi placed a hand on her shoulder, "Mujhe apne aap pe bharosa hai..."
"Mujhe pata hai isliye toh aur bhi daar lagta hai kyun ki ye pyaar tujhe bas dukh hi dega..." Shefali thought but did not dare to say that to her, she just nodded and left.
