Part 2

It was now morning of 8. Parsati stopped her alarm snoozing and got up feom her bed. Her first task in the morning is to see her mother and give a big smile and hug. Her life was very simple, no tragedy. It was just one fine day his father left them forever. She didn't give them a damn and continued her life.

She groaned remembering Jishnu would come to see her. She freshened up herself. Water drops dripped from her wet hairs.

"Investigate. Do whatever you want. I would win this compwtion at any cost. Stupid"

She mumbled. She went to the kitchen and saw almost no rasion. She didn't know what to do. She took all the money she had and opened the door. She was about to scream when she suddenly saw Jishnu knocking at her nose. Jishnu stepped back in surprise.

"What you are doing here now!"

She saw one bag in his hand. She prayed there is something to eat.

"Hello! I had said I would come here sharp 8. Thank to god the address didn't turn fraud."

He snapped.

"I am not a fraud okay! And if you want to investigate join CBI!"

She retorted, but also gave space to come in.

"I said there would be no hospitality so don't expect it."

She kept her purse back. Jishnu looked around the house. It was small, but sweet. It looked decade older. This proved it was her native house.

"You stay alone here?"

He asked looking around.

"Me and my mom only."

She replied while taking the bag. She found some fruits and biscuits lying there.

"Can I see her?"

"Sure."

She took her to her mother's room. It was small and well decorated. She had taken care of all single handedly. He saw an elderly lying there.

"Maa, someone is here to meet you."

"Who in this world came to see me dear? I thought there is none."

She said in a broken voice and looked around. She let her glasses to see clearly but couldn't recognize.

"Who is he dear?"

"He is..."

She stumbled.

"Boyfriend?"

She lowered her glasses sheepishly. She was modern enough.

"No no!"

They chorused and looked at each other. Awkward silence prevailed.

"I am Jishnu. She just joined our academy so thought to give her company."

Jishnu replied clearing his voice.

"You are handsome boy! But hope you know your limits I think"

She set her glasses on her nose again.

"I know, mausi."

"Why calling mausi! Call me Maa. I will love it!"

Her feeble face formed a smile. Parsati tried to interrupt but she hold on.

"Happy practising!"

She wished.

"Won't you go to academy?"

She asked him walking out of the room.

"Its holiday today."

"So why not practise here!"

"Here? But your mother?"

He looked at the room.

"Dont worry she is used to it. I will bring the anklets wait."

She ran to her room to bring anklets while he sat on the sofa. He noticed one anklet lying there.

"Hey your anklet!"

He tried to call her but she vanished in her room. He thought for a while and a smile formed.

"She is not so bad after all"

He took the anklet in his bag thinking a bit. She came out with two pairs of anklets with a big smile. Red anklets. Their weapon; their worship. They continued their prayer with the beats.

"Om Namah Shivay"

"Tak ta dhina tha da, dhin tak tak ta dhina dha dha ta dha dhin ta"

Their feets tapped with the music all along. The bells of anklet jingles vigorously. He held her hands and mirrored his hands. He flipped her. Her skirt rounded. He let her ground on the floor and he held her hands. His cheeks brushed with hers. She immediately brushed off her hands and stopped music. She stammered saying.

"I think it is enough"

Her cheeks flushed. Jishnu himself was confused with his act and backed off.

"I should leave now."

He took his bag and advanced to the gate. He stopped for a while and whispered to her,

"But I don't think you can leave my mind."

He smiled. She looked back in shock. Red adorned her face.

"Maybe never in the life."

She bit her lower lips and pushed him to the door and shut it. She stood against the shutted door.Her heart hammered against her skin.

"What do you play, Nataraj!"

She took her anklets and caged it in her rapid chest, grasping her new colors...
