The said lady is a working professional. I didn't know what to say I was just too shocked. My neighbours are iyers and those kids were admonishing them saying who eats what is no one's problem . two different families and two different sanskaars.

Iyers can be the most heartless insensitive people Doc
I KNOW, I am one😭
We wrap everything in religion to justify it.
An Iyer priest that performed poojas in our family, was the heaviest drinker I knew of in my teen years
He evaded taxes like it was nobody's biz, he had plots of land all over Rohtak and Bhiwadi and Dadri all bought from his ill gotten gains of performing poojas at Delhi netas' homes

I also know of Iyer priests that have gone the Dharmendra way... taken on two wives👏

Its all a bunch of BS actually...

My exam is in three hours and I am waiting for an update.
Sigh.

Sometimes I feel as if I am cheating on SOSY cause I am quite in love with this story but I don't care anymore.

I am a hungry child. Hungry for update.

One of my coworkers had a baby yesterday, he is 49, he is divorced with a 16 and a 12 year old

His GF is 42, with a 14 and a 12 year old, her husband passed away a few years ago

They had a baby two days ago

They are not engaged they are not married, they just live together
He is the nicest man I know of

She stays home, and will stay home the next few years to raise the baby

He is buying a $400k house for her and the 4 kids, his and her kids

UNHEARD of in India
Nobody knows what the woman went through after losing her husband, what it took for her to begin trusting him

I dont know how badly he was hurt in his divorce either

I just know of two good people that have found each other

As I age I realize...
WHATEVER color or shape we are

ALL of us are looking for ONE thing only

HAPPINESS

We shouldnt let anybody steal it from us

I say that with a disclaimer, I obviously do not support pedophilia, 50 year old man "falling in love with" a 8 year old or a 40 year old tennis coach screwing a 14 high school student and calling it "love"

Thats the only line I will draw

I don't know if it's the time or the person or the conditioning or the society's outlook when it comes to women who find it doubly difficult to move on.

I think children's age also makes a woman hesitate to give herself a second chance.
But I think when one is away from extended family, one thinks of giving themselves a chance.

One of our friends, had a marriage that turned sour after good 14 yrs. when it turned sour , it was pretty bad. The man was eccentric , but the lady came out very strong. So many problems she had to face with their children in between. She said I can do it without him for myself and my kids.
She had a job already, brought a house , took custody of her children... 6 yrs she was like she was made of steel...
This guy started loosing it badly ... He lost his job, went know to India ... Bk home his father is a strong personality and took potshots at his son for being a failure. Last year he just committed suicide four years after his divorce.

The girl just felt that she would hv no life in india after her divorce and stated put here saying she enjoys more autonomy and independence here without pressures of family.

Two months bk she got married in A quiet ceremony. Her oldest is 17 and the youngest 13, both girls . She just said she thought this guy made her want to give herself a second chance.

I don't feel like I am cheating on SoSy.
I still go back read old updates of Sosy when in waiting.

I just consider Sosy as grown up kid who has been been nurtured to stand its ground now.

Whereas ID is infant who need nurturing.

No guilt at all.

I love this story too. Very much. Both are way apart which just shows how well Nisha has written both the stories.

Good for her!!

My best wishes to her
If he had lived... his influential Dad would have found another sucker of a woman to be impregnated by that psycho son. Kisi ki ladki bach gayi

That's the main key Nisha happiness ...
And it is all that matters..
I know no one help other all life long that's why my MIL wanted her daughter to get setteled again
But as u know it's not always that u find a nice guy and she has a son too of 14 and u know whts the thinking of the society is that if she will take her son along with her then she will not be able to adjust in her new marriage
I was like 🤢

My SIL backed out the option of second marriage she said I am happy with my in laws who lost there only son and now hav me only as there family
