Khushi nodded and pulled him on her lap. "I am fine, baby..absolutely fine..sorry for scaring you..."

Circling his arms around her waist, he rested his head on her chest, not speaking anything, still too overwhelmed with the dread he had felt a moment ago

Aryan looked at Khushi, the dark patches under her eyes very much visible. Garima's word rang in his head, making his fist clenched. Rehaan is his responsibility, not anyone else's. He can take care of Rehaan without bothering anyone else, and he will.

"Rehaan?" he called out, making Rehaan turned to look at him.

"Yes bhai?"

"Come here now. Holiday is over, we need to pack..."

Rehaan looked at his brother confused for few seconds before his eyes filled with tears again. "Kintu bhai ami Amma sathe thakte chai. Ami Amma ke chere jete chahi na" ( But...but bhai I want to live with Amma... I don't want to leave her)

Congratulations on reaching a new thread and thanks for the teaser. So Rehaan considers Khushi as his mother. The little kid found love and care of a mother into Khushi. The love and care his biological mother were lack of. I hope one day, Aryan also would want to be a part of the same love.
