Ch 6 : Her Cuteness
It was the day she will be joining office officially and in singhania mansion, all were running after her, giving her advise & tips which had him rolling his eyes at his family members. He was patiently waiting for his wife to finish talking to them, so that they could leave for office together.
He look at his wife, who was seated opposite to him, having her breakfast. Her mouth was stuffed with aloo parathan and yogurt smudge on corner of her lips. She was giggling while talking to avantika, he bit inside of his cheek to stop the smile that was forming up on his lips. She can be such a kid at times, but an adorable kid. He reminded himself.
"Taani! Can you please hurry. I'm getting late-" Rey told her, avantika who was sitting with her, feeding her breakfast, turned to her son and spoke.
"Can't you see she is eating. Let her eat properly, getting 5 minutes late won't hamper your perfect image." Avantika snapped at him, taani giggled seeing his getting scolded by his mother but silenced when she found his glaring at her.
"And dare you give these looks to her." Rey groaned mentally when he heard his mother's warning. Rey sat there and watched his mother & taani, he had never seen his mother pampering someone so much, though his mother is close to the elder daughter-in-law, kriya, but he had never seen his mother pampering her, feeding her with her own hands, taking her side always, making sure she is comfortable in house like she do with taani. The bond she share with his wife, is different and somewhere, he likes it.
"Maa, I'll go and bring my bag from my room." Taani said to avantika before she ran upstairs while avantika turned to her son.
"Rey, make sure she is comfortable there, and please, control your anger infront of her, before bursting out at her if she does something wrong, remind yourself that she is your wife too. She is inexperienced and i want you to guide her, correct her if she is wrong but in a manner, She will be not some mere employee you can shout on, mercilessly." Avantika told him in stern tone, knowing about her son's anger she feared, in his anger he might hurt her.
"But weren't you used to say, don't mix your professional & personal life?" Rey asked his mother, he raised his one eye brow at her, questioningly.
"Well, it's about taani, so little mix up can be done here. And don't forget, she is still getting to know you, your behavior toward her matters a lot, if you act strictly or rudely then she might be not open up to you, but if you try to understand her not shouting at her , she will be her real self with you."Avantika explained her point of view to him, hoping he would understand her.
"Alright. mom. I'll keep that in mind while dealing with your precious princess." Rey said to his mother, avantika rolled her eyes and smack him lightly on his arm.
"I'm ready! Lets rock the RS's den." An excited taani came there and look at her husband before she composed herself and zipped her lips seeing his stern face. Avantika rolled her eyes.
"I'm waiting outside." She mumbled and walked away.
"See, you, yourself proved my point right. Come out of this I-can't-stop-being-serious-mode." Avantika said to him then she walked away, leaving him lost in his thoughts, then brushing his thoughts aside, he too walked outside, where his cute wife was waiting.
