Yesterday was Taani's younger sister Sneha's engagement ceremony with her college time boyfriend Shivam Singhania. After completing college and stepping into professional world they decided to take there relation to the next step. Families agreed and met, very soon both the families gelled up well, a bond of family friendship was developed.
Yesterday during the ceremony some distant relatives were whispering and gossiping on the famous topic that Mr. Shekhawat (Taani and Sneha's father) had arranged his younger daughter's engagement ceremony who is just 24 but his elder daughter though his handling her boutique well but being 31 years of age is still not married. Somewhere these taunts hurts Mr Singhania, but he is helpless because even he is unaware of any solid reason but all he knows his elder daughter Taani who is damn beautiful even in her early thirty is not ready to get married. Lots of proposal came but she rejected all and has clearly stated she wants to stay single.
But when at the end of the party Mr Singhania came with the proposal of Taani's marriage with his elder son, the business tycoon Reyansh Singhania he couldn't deny. He decided to give one last try, so after lot of emotional blackmail he somehow made Taani agree to meet Rey for once.
Next day was Sunday:
Snneha has brought Taani to the coffee shop, both were waiting for Rey's arrival. The meeting time was fixed at 11.00 am. He soon arrived wearing a very casual white T-shirt and a denim jeans. He wished both the girls and after a round of coffee Sneha decided to leave giving the two some personal space as the purpose of the meeting was to give Taani and Rey some alone time so they can talk and discuss about the alliance their parents have fixed and decide whether both are compatible to each other and are they ready to walk forward in the relation.
After Sneha left silence prevailed. Taani was stealing glances, she liked Rey the way he dresses he talks, even she has heard from Sneha that Rey is a perfect gentleman, and a very loving and caring brother. He even many times have solved Sneha and Shivam's small fights. She knew Rey is her little sister's would be brother-in-law but Sneha loves him like her brother and he too treats her like a small sister. Regarding the engagement ceremony and pre engagement family meets she has always seen Rey stealing glances at her, even her sixth sense told her that he is attracted towards her but she didn't care.
The silence was broken by Rey, the place is crowded, kahi aur chaltae hai'. She nodded her head in approval, he cleared the bills and both walked to his car. Rey opened the passenger door like a perfect gentleman, she sat he closed it and coming to his side he started the engine. It was a silent 1 hour drive. Taani was silent bit lost, Rey was observing her and driving. Soon they reached their destination and it was then Taani was brought back to world, and she was surprised seeing her surrounding it was a very silent beach. His voice, This is a very lonely place away from the sounds and noises of city, we are in the outskirts of Mumbai, the beach is a private property, (smiling a bit) I have bought this place I want to construct a beach house and as far as I know tumhae shant place bohot pasand hai, disco, clubs etc are not your cup of tea'. She was surprised and the reason was how he knew her choices as hardly had they talked during the family meets and what he said about his choice was something even Sneha was unaware off.
She was once again lost, by the time he came to her side, and once again like a perfect gentleman opening the door he stretched his palms asking her to hold is hand and step down. She slowly stepped out placing her soft palms on his and the moment their skin came in contact after years she felt a warmth of manly hold a mild shiver ran through her nerves she looked at him he smiled. They started walking towards the beach and then she realized he was still holding her palms she tried to remove her hand but his hold tightened she instantly looked but all she got was a heart-warming smile and then they started walking we came for talking about relation, cahae relation agae barae na barae we can always be friends and as a friend can't I hold your hand? moreover pathhar hai gir jayogie' She nodded her head and both went on sat on a rock near the beach.
Silence prevailed with the sounds of water thrashing the rocks she was wearing a simple white churidar with lots of strings at her back her hairs were flying in the wind giving her a seductive look yet filled with mystery he laughed in his heart noticing the silver chain on her neck yet her eyes depicted loneliness as if they are searching someone from years.
He knew she will be silent so he decided talk, he slowly called her. Taani can we talk, I mean we are here to talk about ...' (it was now her time to get interrupted in the middle) Taani, Rey is fine you can call me Rey and tum yeah shaddi sirf apni dad ke liya kar rahii ho, and I shouldn't expect anything from you, yehaii bolna tha right? She kept quiet... Once again silence prevailed. But this time she broke the silence. aapnae sahii kaha I am doing this only for my dad, but mai aap sae kuch bhi chupana nahii cahatii. This marriage may be a compromise for me but aap ak achaee insaan ho and I don't want to make you suffer for me. Rey mai aap ko kuch batana cahatii hu, I don't want to keep you in dark mujhae aap ko kuch batana hai after that you may decide what you want. Aap ka koi bhi decision ho I will accept. If you want to move out its fine and if you want to still marry I will try to give my 100% in the relation but I don't know how much I can?' looking down Rey only said "shoot". She took few moments and then continued. It was 10 years ago I was 21 then in 2nd year of my college. I was in relation with one of my friend. Rey bataiya na how do you know I tried finding that person but I never came to know that night I passed out after the drink but as much as I remembered I was in someone's arms koi mujhae utha kae room mai le gaya tha, woh ak alag room tha even (with a pause) I felt his lips on my forehead (she touched her forehead) aj 10 saal baad bhi I still feel tje same 10 saalo sae mai unhae talash kar rahii hu, but pata nahi where did he get lost, he was not only my saviour that night but in his arms I felt the warmth of protection. Mainae kabhi unhae dekha nahii but I will not hide anything from you I love him I fell in love with his touch. Aur mai unhae kabhii bhula nahii payungiee.
Both were silent only the sound of waves could be heard suddenly remembering something she turned towards him, Rey you didn't say how do you know so much about me, aap ko kaysae pata, I mean aap ko wohbhi pata hai jo kisi students ko nahii pata, I am confused aap ho kaun, I mean kaysae? He stood up and walked a few steps standing on the edge of the rock Taani was feeling impatient she went and stood behind and without even a second thought she touched his shoulder he turned and she instantly said,' aap thae na?' He smiled and kept his palms on her cheeks she didn't object he slowly tucked her flying hairs on the back of her ears, it felt good to her as if he was touching something which belongs to him he had tears in his eyes she had tears too both were silent their eyes were talking suddenly he pulled her in his arms and hugged her tight. She encircled her arms around his neck and gave in the hug, being in each other's arms for a long time slowly they departed. She looked down feeling bit shy Rey I didn't knew you but aap jantae thae na mujhae why didn't you tell me, etnae saalo sae I tried finding but never had a clue.' He took her palms in his Taani I was one year senior to you in college after that night when we returned Mumbai more than a month you did not come to college, then my final exams arrived I tried talking to you but then I thought tum mujhae jantii bhi nahii ho, I thought you enclosed yourself because you were hurt with Visesh's behaviour may be you guys will patch up after Visesh realize his mistakes. So I kept quiet then after my finals I went to London for MBA and lost your track. Suddenly I came to know about you after Shivam introduced me to Sneha.
But then I understood Sneha ko kuch bhi nahii pata, even I were unaware about the exact reason of you not getting married till now, then engagement party mai when you sat on your knees while making Sneha's saree pleats accidentally I saw the chain you were wearing under your necklace, the chain I left when took you in the room, instantly I knew kuch toh tum feel kartii ho us ensaan kae barae mai, and then without wasting a moment I told papa to talk to your dad. ' the chain was the only symbol of that person, (she smiled ) I mean it was the only symbol you left back and it was all I had with me and I always kept it secure.
Both were walking hand in hand suddenly Taani said, etnae saal ho gayae apnae shaddi kiu nahii kii? Rey stopped and pulled her wrist she looked back, tum saach mai etni dumb ho? You are asking me? Actually tum bohot cute and innocent ho. Obviously I too wanted to find you, pagal I was in love with you I just kept quiet thinking tum aur visesh may have patched up, she looked down he cupped her face and made her look into his eyes ak baat puchuu saach saach jawab dena' she nodded in approval he continued Kya aab bhi yeah shaddi tum apnae dad ke liya kar rahii ho? She nodded in denial and suddenly hugged him tight and the most awaited words escaped her lips I love you I love you Rey, unknowingly I am loving you from the last 10 years I love you so much she was in tears, Rey pulled her more in his arms and kept whispering in her ears I love you too I love you princess mainae bhi bohot intejaar kiya agar tum nahi milti even I had decided not to get married.
The day spent both shared each other's like's wishes dreams after 10 years Taani was back to her own self she was smiling from her heart and Rey felt overwhelmed being the reason of her smile. It was late afternoon Tanni was still playing in the beach splashing water on him, he was doing the same. Sneha called Taani the sisters talked Taani was telling her about her approval and here Rey was lost in her angelic face. Her flowing hair flawless skin, she was talking with her sister and he was lost in the movement of her lips, he felt a strong urge to pull her in his arms and kiss her hard, her perfect figure which was bit wet was attracting him all he wanted was to get married soon and shower his love on her he mentally noted to ask his dad to arrange the marriage soon he was lost in his Taani dream land whereas after the phone call Taani was excitedly telling him what she said but then discovering his lost form she came near and pulled him but instead he pulled her back made her turn and holding her waist he pulled her in his chest and then cupping her face in his palms looking in her deep black eyes he said , "Taani do you trust me?' without breaking the eye contact apnae aap sae bhi jyada' kuch mang sakta hu?' Hmnn kuch bhii' Can I kiss you?' she didn't replied instead she placing her palms on his closed her eyes taking it as an approval Rey placed his lips on her forehead, then he kissed both her eyes one by one then her cheeks he rubbed his nose with hers, then slowly he brushed his lips on her but when her hold tighten taking it as an ultimate approval he started kissing her passionately their lips moved in perfect synchronization. When Rey felt her pulling him more he felt honoured feeling her trust dependence he obliged her by kissing her more deeply.
They stood there in each other's arms watching the sun set in the Arabian sea. She was feeling cold he covered her with his jacket. They turned and started walking towards the car hand in hand making silent promise to always be there together he pulled her in his arms one last time and kissed her forehead whispering I love you to each other. The car engine started and they drove off to start a new life together... A NEW BEGINING
