"Sh. Papa, don't make noise, you will wake mumma up." Reyaan scolded his father in hushed tone as they sneaked out of their bedroom. They both went in kitchen, It was 11.50 at night and they both were planning to wish her as soon as clock struck 12. Reyaan waited as his father bring the cake which he had brought earlier in the evening, out of the fridge and placed it on the kitchen counter.

"Papa, do you think mumma will like it?" Reyaan asked him as they both decorated the cake little. Rey look at his son and smiled, if only he knew that his mother will love anything they will give her with smile. She never expect anything from anyone.

"I don't think, beta, but i know your mumma gonna love this surprise. Your mumma doesn't like fancy things, she likes everything simple & sweet." Rey told him with a smile. Little Reyaan nodded in return, he picked up the candles and placed them on the cake. After that, Rey picked the cake and they both went in their room. Making sure to not to make too many noise, they entered inside the room. The only source of the light in the room was small the night light which was kept on. Rey signaled Reyaan to switch on the light, Reyaan did as he was told to, then they both walked over the bed.

"10 seconds more." Reyaan whispered, rubbing his hands together while grinning ear to ear. Rey smiled at his son, it was her first birthday with them together and the father-son duo want to make it special for her. As soon as clock struck 12, they grinned at each other before they both shouted.

"Happy Birthday!"

"What the-" She woke up with jerk, She blinked her eyes to adjust with the lightening. She lazily looked around with sleepy eyes and saw her boys standing near the bed with cake in Rey's hand. She got and sat on the bed with confused look on her face.

"What are you doing?" Taani asked him, looking at them with confused look. Rey & Reyaan look at each other then at her with frown before they shouted in unison.

"You forgot your own birthday!"

Her brows knitted before their words sinked in and she realized she had really forgot about her own birthday. But a sudden happiness seeped through her when her gaze fall on them, both were looking ready to celebrate her birthday with all the arrangements they had done together.

"Mumma, you should start eating almonds. I mean who forget about their own birthday-" Little Reyaan commented earing a glare from his mother. Rey laughed along with Reyaan causing her to narrow her eyes at them.

"Mumma bhool gayi toh kya hua, we are here to celebrate her birthday, right, Reyaan?"

"Yes, papa. Lets cut the cake now." Reyaan suggested, Taani smiled as reyaan came and sat on her lap while Rey sat on the bed, opposite to her. He placed the cake on the bed, between them then lit up the candles.

"Make a wish, mumma." Reyaan said to her, happiness lacing his voice which made her smile, she blew the candles then cut the cake while her both the boys sing happy birthday song. Taani took a piece of cake and divide it into two parts, feeding both of them at the same which fluttered his heart, she never failed to show her love to him, and these small small gestures of his taani made him fall for her more.

"Mumma, since its your birthday, You will not do anything, papa & me will do every work for you." Reyaan told her while licking the chocolate off of his finger.

"You will get the princess treatment." Rey told her, smiling at her softly. Taani look into his eyes, all she could see was, love which was making her weak, weak on her decision to maintain distance from him.

"Papa, we should make mumma bath with milk. I watched in a movie that princess bath with milk." Reyaan suggested innocently and frowned when his parents laughed hearing his innocent suggestion.

"Why are you both laughing at me?" Reyaan complained, he pouted in annoyance. Taanj wrapped her arms around him, cocooned him in her embrace.

"We are not laughing at you, baby. But on a serious note, no one is bathing with milk. Its not princess treatment, Its called waste of money." Taani explained it to him, Reyaan nodded in return, understanding his mother.

"We will make her feel special in our own way. And it's getting late, so lets go to sleep." Rey said to them, Reyaan nodded and lay down on the bed while Rey placed the leftover cake on the table and switched off the light. Rey turned to her who was covering Reyaan with blanket after he slept. Taani look at him with questioning look, Rey shook his head and leaned forward, bridging the gap between their lips. The chocolate which was still on her lower lip, he licked it off making her shudder.

"Happy Birthday, Love." Rey whispered against her lips, her breath hitched as his lips brushed against hers. He gave her a small peck before he moved back, and gave her a small smile.

"Never knew a simple cake can be this yummy." Rey mumbled as he again stole a soft kiss from her, leaving her in daze. His touch spell a caste over her.

"I haven't brought a gift for you yet, I was confuse. But you tell me, tumhe kya chahiye?" Rey asked her, breaking her trance.

"This was the best gift. I don't need anything else." Taani answered him, referring to their earlier surprise they had given her.

"But i want to give you something."

" If you really want, then you can gift me my favorite chocolates." Taani answered him innocently. Rey chuckled, but nodded positively in response. Keeping in mind to bring lots of chocolate for her tomorrow since she is a die hard chocolate lover.

"Thank you for the cake." Taani mumbled in barely audible tone. Rey shook his head, instead of answering her anything, he gave a kiss on her forehead and got up. He went and lay down on his side of the bed. Taani stare at him for a while before lay down on the bed, hugging her son, unknown to her a smile touched her cheeks at his sweet gesture.

She closed her eyes, a content smile playing on her lips. Her little family had given immense happiness to her by celebrating her birthday when she herself didn't remember it's her birthday. They both had made her birthday memorable.
