Khushi's heart skipped several beats as she saw Arnav happily taking wishes from everyone of his family. A part of her was hurt and guilty that she couldn't be the first one to wish him even after being in the same room as him and knowing Arnav, he would have wanted her to wish him first just as he would if it was her birthday.
It struck her that she didn't even have a present for him and was the only one to not have a gift as everyone else had bought a gift of Arnav's choice. Guilt-struck and thoughtful, Khushi felt realization making its way into her mind.
Arnav Singh Raizada was everything she wanted. He had the guts to stand up to anyone for her, he understood her better than anyone when everyone was forcing her to accept him, he was caring enough to let her take as much time as she wanted and took in all the taunts she threw at him.
"Kabhi Socha Nahi Tha Ki Ek Koi mere Liye Itna Khaas Ban Jaye Ga Ki Uski Har Ada, Har Nafrat Pyaari Lage, Diya Hua Har Zakm Khushi De."
From the beginning she had held him as her culprit and he was her culprit for taking a decision in hurry but now she realized that he was not at fault that the marriage actually happened or that he had fallen in love with her, making everyone force her to be with him.
" Saath Janam Saath Nahi Tho Saath Janam Intezaar Main Hi Sahi..."
His willingness to let her go and wait till his last breath had proven his true love for him. Her anxiety while shooting for the look test, her increased pace of heartbeats when he eased her pain when she got heart and her admiration for him when he stood up for her in front of his Mami and Kavita Kaki, everything suddenly made sense.
She was madly and irrevocably in love with Arnav Singh Raizada, more than she ever hated him and more than she had ever expected she would be able to love. There was no sign of remorse in that love as she knew that he had won her and her heart with his love and it would be foolish of her to lose a gem like him.
" Khushi Bitiya? Now we will leave. Good night! And sorry for suddenly arriving here." Arunima's words jerked Khushi back to the reality as she faked a smile to Arunima while trying to understand what she had said.
"That's fine, Aunty. Good Night!"
Arunima smiled at her and Arnav, before shutting the door as she left them alone. Khushi felt her heartbeats pacing and butterflies fluttering in her stomach. Ignoring the feelings trying to weaken her resolve, Khushi moved towards Arnav, who was looking at her earnestly and was waiting for her wishes.
Arnav stood up to Khushi as she moved closer to him. Locking his gaze with hers, Khushi wished, " Happy Birthday, Arnav! May all your wishes come true. I am sorry I don't have any gift for you at the moment but I will surely get it tomorrow. What gift do you want from me?"
" You-" A gasp escaped Khushi's lips as his voice turned heavy and eyes darkened with passion but Arnav chose to continue, " Your Happiness, Khushi. I just want you to be always happy. I am more than happy that you accepted me as your friend and expecting more would be selfish of me."
He wanted her to be happy as his birthday gift? Masking her emotions with an emotionless face, Khushi held Arnav's wrist and guided a clueless Arnav to the living room.
All the Raizada members were still up as they chose to chat for sometime before heading to the bed, but Khushi had all their attention as she pulled Arnav along with her.
" I want to tell everyone something."
Everyone turned their attention to Khushi, who looked postively nervous, and Arnav, who looked intrigued by Khushi's actions and never let his eyes wander away from him.
Khushi took in a breath as everyone awaited her announcement with bated breaths. " I know this is not the best time to announce my decision but I know that there won't be a setting better than this to announce this. I am ready to stay back here forever as wife to Arnav and daughter-in-law of this house but.."
The excitement which her announcement caused was replaced by worry when they noticed that there was a condition associated with it.
"But? But what Khushi Bitiya?" questioned Nani, who looked worried while Arnav looked as if he is in a deep quandary in between choosing to be happy or choosing to be sad.
" I want a remarriage. I will be happy even if it is a temple marriage but I cannot accept that marriage which happened as a part of a shoot. I cannot bring myself to accept, no offense intended and really sorry for that. I really hope that you understand."
Khushi let her eyes linger on all the members of Raizada family and finally rested her eyes on Arnav, who looked overwhelmed and elated. Her nervous look was reciprocated by his warm smile and a slight nod, signing at his acceptance.
" Bas Itni Si Baat? Shaadi Tho Hogi Hi Lekin Mandir Main Nahi Issi Ghar Main. Aisi Shaadi Hogi Ki Poori Lucknow Kabhi Nahi Bhool Payegi!"
Smiles spread on everyone's face except a seething Manorama and angry NK, who felt that partiality was reigning Nani's mind while a look of relief appeared on Khushi's face at Nani's acceptance. Arunima moved to Khushi and placed a gentle kiss on her forehead affectionately.
" Thank you so much for accepting Chotte and us, Beta. You don't know how happy you have made us all. You two will always have my wishes."
Arunima enveloped Khushi into her embrace while Khushi looked at Arnav over Arunima's shoulder with crimson waltzing over her cheeks with his naughty eyes.
" Oh Ho Bhabhi! Bas Bhai Ko Dekhoge Ya Hame Bhi Dekhogi! Wishes Ham De Rahe Ya Woh?" teased Anjali while Khushi flushed more as she pulled out of Arunima's embrace as tucked her hair behind her ears, in an attempt of hiding her blush under her hands.
Nani stood up and announced, " Tho Tair Raha! We will call Samdhi Aur Samdhan Ji tomorrow and ask them to come over here to make arrangements for marriage."
" Wait!" said Arnav hastily and turned to Khushi,"Khushi, you want the marriage here or in Mumbai?"
Arnav's concern for her wishes and desires had won her heart all over again.
"Here." muttered Khushi, even before she realized, leaving Arnav surprised at her answer.
" Happy Bitua? Now your Dulhaniya has also given her consent. Can we go ahead now?"
Arunima's question made Arnav scratch the back of his head in embarrassment while Khushi smiled earnestly at his actions, thnking how cute he looked when he did that.
