II stands in a position to be able to emphasize with people and vandu has landed in a situation where she can't even spend moments emphasizing with herself and feeling self pity

Vandu is fed up she is being put through all this

II is upset she is being asked to stay out of all this

Everyone has to fight their own battles so Vandu has to deal with these things

The scar II received are not from her battles bit the effect of the battles Vandu is fighting with life

There are always such scars if the person fighting the battle means a lot to you

My heart stopped beating when I imagined something happening to II

Appa needs to know that like Vandu is impt to II

Akka right in venting her anger on II ia acceptable ? Sri Vishvanatha Iyer rants about the Dude going with his sister to Malai Mandir when he cant say a word about Ambala relatives...Vaishnavi...what happened to her? Other than II and Kamakshi Athai who volunteers help? Bala and She are constantly treating II like a punching bag never for once trying to see the extent to which their words and actions hurt her that too in her pregnant state. Except the rudeness they don't seem to have anything to even dress the arm that is bleeding she did not go and intentionally gash herself to tell her Tatha goes to drop him everyday...Even when she drops the cooker lid and Bala panics she does not worry for her Sis...II packs all that was available to take for her sis but Akka not offering her a spoon of pongal even...What sensitivity are we speaking of it is selfishness as opposed to care

IF WISHES WERE HORSES

With each bright dawn and the glorious dusk

The landscape gets soaked and eroded anew

With each new arrival at our doorstep each inching a way to the edge

Our life in a quandary and mess

We need regular checks and balances understanding and acceptance

To steer us and keep up our spirit in the muddle and chaos

Relationships we so rely on alter with changed situations.

Assumptions and allegations pour forth

Unmindful of changes trickling in

And it's probably tough to strike a balance between old and new ties.

Concerns remain the same the problems compounded crowded

Your presence and circumstances alter and evolve

It's not anyone's intentional fault or malice.

We just have to sit back and reflect and confirm what's worth doing and what not .
Taking things for granted acting that nothing's changed

Uttering unleashed the words that occur

Can break ties that bind as delicate as gossamer

I can see that when we lash out at others it is always not our maturity or reasoning or empathy that emerges...while everybody asks II to rein in and not speak mindlessly, i find every time she is the recipient of the harsh words and bad treatment. Everytime since II's wedding it has been she who receives the taunts of the iyers. Why should Raman be bothered of Balas mom when her own sister allows a pregnant II go hungry and hurt...i find it heartless.
II maybe middle class and her brother chose without discussing his choice with her...is Makarand comparable to them in status? I feel especially in her state now it is only the Bhalla men and Sam and Mavvy Uncle that seem to care for her.

My mind connects bk to a similar situation when Bala said something that hurt II . And he confessed to his wife. So vandu and Bala went on a weekday night to MM to redress the situation leaving Ranjanji surprised at their arrival on a weekday night.

This time even if vandu wants to go and personally soothe II, paati being in hospital would not let vandu do so. But vandu has to find a way to reach out to her sister.
And Mrs. Iyer again has to play her role. Sigh.

And the school rush hours, the buses and autos, II's near escape in the morning chaos. And the lanes which means nothing and are but an eroding designer mark on our roads. Pathetic .

It's really unfortunate how many of us have to take it in their stride ,just casually dance and hop out of the way of another oncoming vehicle, don't pause for a moment to think of the lucky escape they have had as our mindset is tolerant 😲 to chaos and I'm sure there are thousand others just like II today who stunned momentarily say a silent prayer of thanks that chalo,today they escaped coming under a bus.

Yes, awesome one Nams. Yeah it happens that you torture yourself mercilessly over something, in tears come bk home to and your husband just blows it away with a funny comment or tease making light of the situation and that's the best balm for the moment.

When II was doing all that things before her marriage and spending more than half of her salary on akka and shravu she was rite and never questioned by anyone even appa...
Now she is married and pregnant too and if she forgets to come for a day she is being pouched like anything.
I understand akka is not in a good situation but II is ur sister , u should understand her better that there must be some work but no, u started taunted her
Lady this is ur life ur family ur house u should know how to manage them.
It's not that over night all the burdens r being posted on her.
