Ch 46 : Bleeding Hearts
He frowned at her behavior, since last night, she was ignoring him not that she used to talk to him openly before but still, something was off about her today, she was distant from him. He could feel it and couldn't tolerate it, deciding to talk to her regarding the sudden change in her behavior, he walked behind her as taani went inside the kitchen to prepare Reyaan's breakfast as he wanted to eat aloo prathan today instead of omelet which she made earlier.
He held her arm and pinned her to the wall behind her. She look at him, surprised with his sudden move. She lifted her eye lashes up and her mesmerizing gaze met him anger filled one.
"Ignore kyun kar rahi ho?" Rey asked her in his deep dark tone, sending shiver down her spine.
"I'm not ignoring you, now leave me. I have to make breakfast for Reyaan." Taani answered him in calm tone but inside, there was storm going on inside, she was fighting with her own feelings, emotions.
"You are not going anywhere until you answer me, and i expect a truthful answer from you." Rey whispered harshly. He tighten his hold around her waist and pulled her into him, she look into his eyes and could see anger along with pain. He bridged the gap, his breath was fanning over her lips making her nervous, she knew she will give into him if he didn't stop.
"Answer me, Taani-" Rey whispered against her lips. Taani was breathing heavily and her eyes lids were about to met due to the dizziness she got because of his close proximity.
"Mumma!" With that, Reyaan entered inside the kitchen, His quick steps came to an halt when his gaze fall on his parents who seems to be too busy in each other to notice his presence. He was staring at them with open mouth before he started giggling which broke his parent's reverie. Rey look at his son and moved little away from taani who was still in daze. Taani control her ragged breathing and straighten herself, she look at him then at her son who was giggling uncontrollably.
"Reyaan, will you stop giggling like a girl?" Taani raised her one eyebrow at him questioningly, causing him to pout at her in return.
"I do not giggle like a girl." Reyaan stated confidently.
"Yes, you do, my son." Taani told him, teasing him further. Reyaan look at Rey then at his mother, looking at them with such innocence that melted his parents. Rey laughed, walking toward him, he picked him up in his arms.
"Aw. Your mumma is just teasing you, baby." Rey said to him, Reyaan look at his mother, mocking anger. Taani shook her head at her little son's antics, she moved toward him and kissed reyaan's cheek which brought a smile on his face.
"Now, wait outside, I'm making your breakfast." Taani told him. Reyaan nodded, as rey made him stand on the ground, he ran out of the room.
"You can't escape, taani, I need answers." Holding her arm, he turned her around, facing him.
"I think you lost the right to question me long time back." Taani answered him back with fierceness in her voice. Taani pushed him away and started doing her work, ignoring his presence. Her heart bleed every time she speak rudely to him.
Rey sighed and walked out of the kitchen, feeling hurt by her behavior but he knew, more than him, she is in pain.
"Tomorrow is your birthday, And i promise to you, sweetheart, I'll get you to accept me." Rey thought to himself with determination, he walked toward the dinning table and sat with his son.
