All the cadets and mentors get ready for taking the first step of their mentorship program. "Pooja tujhe Major Nayyer ne kyun bulaya tha?" asks Naina, pulling the zip of her bag. "Mat puch Naina, kyun bulaya tha uss muchhad ne!" "Kyun?" asks Naina, creasing her brows. "Kyunki mujhey bhi nahi pata" "Matlab?" "Arey Naina main ja hi rahi thi uske room mein, tabhi Huda ka call aa gya. Socha uski baat sunn kar baad mein uss muchhad ka bhi call receive kar lungi. Main gayi bhi thi uske room mein, par uss muchhad ne kaha ki main do (2) minute late ho gyi aane mein. Ab tu hi bata Naina, thoda bohot idhar-udhar to chalta hai na?" "Phir kya hua?" "Hoga kya? Suna di saza!" "Saza? Kaisi saza?" asks Naina, getting tensed. "Room ki safai. Such bata rahi hun Naina, ye Major Nayyer ka kamra kisi kabadkhane se kam nahi hai. Pata nahi duniya bhar ke kitne faltu cheezein rakhe hue hain apne paas. Aisa lag raha tha jaise KMA ke saare batches ke information aur photos issi ke paas hon. Mujhey to lagta hai iska cross-connection lag gaya hai jo 2015 mein ye aa gya. Issey to koi aadi-kaal mein hona chahiye tha" "Kya kaha tu ne?" asks Naina, getting excited. " Mujhey to lagta hai iska cross-connection lag gaya hai jo 2015 mein ye aa gya. Issey to koi aadi-kaal mein hona chahiye tha" Pooja repeats the line for her. "Nahi ussey pehle" Naina points, with her index finger, creasing her brows, thinking seriously. Pooja thinks and replies, "Aisa lag raha tha jaise KMA ke saare batches ke information aur photos issi ke paas hon. Kyun?" "Pooja mujhey Major Nayyer ke room mein jana hai" "Kya? Kyun? Marna hai kya?" Holding Pooja's right arm Naina says, "Please Pooja mujhey jana hai" "Jana hai! Theek hai yaar, par thodi der mein to humein nikalna hai!" Checking the time, Naina says, "Abhi bhi time hai nikalne mein. Chal na Pooja please". "Theek hai chal!"
While all the other first year cadets were busy in getting ready and setting into the bus, Naina and Pooja run towards Major Nayyer's room. On their way, they meet Dr. Mishra. Naina and Pooja were in rush so they were about to collide with Dr. Mishra. Holding Naina, Dr. Mishra says, "sambhal kar cadet. Itni jaldi-jaldi kahan bhaage ja rahi hain aap dono?", smiles Dr. Mishra. "Wo ma'am, actually Huda hai I think wahan, bus ussi ko bulane aaye the" "I am sorry ma'am maine apko dekha nahi aur aise collide ho gaye" says Naina. Turning towards Naina, Dr.Mishra says, "it's okay cadet. Aisa hota hai. Kayi baar log apke samne hotey hain, par aap dekh nahi patey" smiles Dr. Mishra. "Well anyways I am sure you are in hurry and apko bus tak bhi jana hoga. So finish your task fast". Her words reminds them that they are getting late, they rush towards the room while Dr. Mishra walks towards the bus.
As they reach the room, Naina with a disappointment in her eyes and sadness and frustration in her voice, finds the room locked. Pushing the lock, she curses her luck, "ye to locked hai!" "oye hatt tu!" says Pooja, pulling Naina back. "Such Naina mujhey lagta hai, main tere network mein zada din rahi na to mera dimag bilkul block ho jayega. Jasusi karne nikli hai, aur tedhe raste bhi nahi pata!" Naina listens to all her scoldings silently, and waits to see what Pooja is going to do. Bringing out her hair clip, Pooja unlocks the door. "Dekha? Hum ladkiyon ki accessories kitne kaam ke hotey hain!",winks Pooja. Naina smiles, and shakes her head, feeling relived and pushes her a little, asking her to get in quickly.
Getting inside, they start with their search. They don't miss any corner of the room. Suddenly, Naina reaches the bunch of files kept on a side table and shakes each file to find something hidden. Suddenly a white envelope falls on the floor and all the pictures inside, scatters on the floor. As this was happening, Pooja simultaneously says in a tensed voice, "Naina chal koi aa raha hai" "Pooja tu ja main aa rahi hun" says Naina, her eyes transfixed on the pictures. The pictures were of Naveen with a girl. But the only problem was that the girl had a mask on her face which becomes a barrier for Naina to recognize who she is. "Main tujhey chor kar nahi jaaney wali!" Realizing that this can put Pooja's life in danger, Naina forces her to leave, saying, "Mujhey kuch nahi hoga. Tu ja Pooja please", she pushes her out of Major Nayyer's room. With sorrow in her eyes, Pooja leaves anyhow. Naina turns back towards the bed.
Within few seconds after Pooja leaves, someone enters the room, Naina's heart skips a beat. But soon it gets normal, realizing that it's no one else but her Rajveer Sir. Sighing audibally she says, "Sir aap!" "Cadet Singh tum yahan Major Nayyer ke room mein kya kar rahi ho?" Realizing that she is holding the pictures in her hand, she hides them from him, taking her hand behind her. "Aur ye tumhare haath mein kya hai?" asks Captain Rajveer, noticing that she is hiding something from him. "Nahi kuch bhi to nahi", she tries to make him believe that she has nothing.
But Rajveer gets determined to know what is she hiding from him. He takes a few steps towards her, and forwards his hand simultaneously, asking her to show what she is hiding, "Dikhao kya hai tumhare paas!" "Aap mujh par shaq kar rahe hain?" asks Naina, astonished. "Main..." shouts Rajveer, his loud voice makes Naina to tremble. Noticing that, he closes his eyes and shakes his head and lowers his voice. Opening his eyes, he looks straight into her eyes, he asks, "do mujhey, jo bhi hai tumhare paas". Naina doesn't reply, but shifts her eyes to elsewhere, making it clear that she won't! Rajveer gets closer to her, taking his hand behind her, holding her hand which is holding the picture, he forces her to show. They fight this way for sometime, none of them saying anything, just staring each-other, while their hands playing the game of winning the paper she is holding.
Looking deep into her eyes, Rajveer holds her hand tightly, making her to feel the pain, so that she gives up the fight. But Naina ain't that innocent to break up easily. She whispers, "main nahi dungi" "dekho Naina humein jana hai sub intezaar kar rahe honge. Zid choro aur mujhey dikhao, jo tum mujhse chupa rahi ho" "yahi main apse kehna chahti hun, sub intezaar kar rahe honge, zid choriye" "Aaa..." cries Naina, but keeping the given circumstance in mind, she keeps her voice low. Although he could feel her pain equally, the one he is inflicting into her, by pressing her wrist hard in anger, but he tries to hide from her, that her pain is affecting him. At last she gives up and shows the pictures to him.
Rajveer gets shocked on seeing the pictures. "Ye ladki kon hai Naveen ke saath?" he asks, all serious. "Yahi to mujhey janna hai!" replies Naina, looking towards the picture, creasing her brows. Holding her by her shoulders, Rajveer says, "Naina tum ye zid chor kyun nahi deti. Iss mein khatra hai. Agar kisi ko pata lag gaya ki tum kon ho aur yahan kyun ayi ho, to tumhe yahan se nikaalne se pehle ye log ek bar bhi nahi sochenge" "Main jis maksad ko pura karne KMA mein ayi hun, wo maksad main kabhi nahi bhul sakti Sir" "Naina tum..." as he was about to continue, he notices Naina's diary peeping out of her bag, he adjusts the diary and puts the zip properly. Turning again towards her, he asks, "ye tumhari personal diary hai?" "Nahi!" Rajveer gets surprised to get the answer, as he was expecting it to be her personal diary. "To fir?" "Naveen bhaiya ki!" Rajveer gets shocked on getting this answer. "Naveen" he whispers. Naina keeps staring him, gauging his reaction.
Tears almost fill his eyes, but he controls himself, "kya ye main read kar sakta hun?" he asks getting emotional. "Nahi!" she says stubbornly. It breaks his heart on getting such an answer from Naina. When he doesn't argue on that, Naina says, "ek shart pe!" Rajveer turns to look at her, with teary eyes. "Agar aap ye mere saath padhenge to!" Listening to her condition, he smiles. Overwhelmed with so many feelings - thankfulness, happiness, sorrow and something else, he moves forth to embrace her into a hug, but realizing what he was about to do, he takes his steps back, lowers his eyes and turns away, to hide all of his feelings. On the other hand, Naina lowers her eyes too, her smile vanishing gradually, with each passing moment, as she also realizes what she was about to do. Giving a last look to each other, with a little smile, they both leave.

As Alekh and Dr. Mishra stand outside KMA, waiting for others to get ready. Dr. Mishra says, "Major Bhargava ko lagta hai ki tumhe meri zarurat hai", then she turns back to move but when she realizes that Alekh is still standing at his position, she turns and says, "lets go Cadet. Agle 48 hours ke liye main tumhari mentor rahungi. Alright! So get moving".
Major Bhargava enters the bus they were using to reach a particular spot and asks an orderly to enter the bus and collect all unwanted materials from the bag of all the cadets and their mentors. As the whole procedure was going on Major Bhargava announces, "Everybody attention! It's 1400 hours and we are about to leave for camp. Lagta hai apko ye information mili nahi - no bags, no other materials, nothing! Kuch saman nahi lekar jayenge. Chatis ghantey jeeney ke liye jitna saaman lagta hai wo sub apko tent mein milega. Kisi ko koi shaq?" as Yudi was about to raise his hand to ask something, Major Bhargava says, "to wo apna sawaal flush kar de, kyunki main yahan pe apke shaq dur karne nahi aaya hun. Do you understand?" at this Alekh stares him, in all anger. "Have a great journey everybody", saying this he leaves the bus.
Soon the bus reaches up to a certain point and it stops abruptly. "Abey tau bus kyun rok di?" asks Huda to the driver. All the mentors and the cadets wait for an answer, anxiously. "Ap subko yahan utarna hoga" replies the driver. "Utarna hoga? Arey kyun bhai?" asks Huda. "Cadet Huda, move it!" orders Captain Rajveer, showing him his palm in order to refrain him from asking further questions.
Naina gets down after Huda. He forwards his hand to help her to get down. "Aaja Phoolan main help kar dun". Standing ahead, his back facing them, Rajveer listens to Huda, and turns his head a little in order to pay attention to what he is saying. "Arey bhai aa bhi ja ab mujhse kaisa sharmana Phoolan?" Rajveer waits for Naina to take a decision. "Huda main yahan soldier banney ayi hun. Yun choti-choti baaton ke liye help mangne lagi to badey-badey drills kaise complete karungi?" answers back Naina, with full forces and gets down herself. Listening to her words makes Rajveer's heart to swell with pride and joy.
As they all get down, the driver hands over Dr.Mishra a letter which she reads loudly, "Come on everybody, please come here. I have got a letter to be read in front of everyone". The letter reads -
'From here on wards you all pairs will take up individual paths allotted to you. Who ever is reading this message, please checkout the attached sheets and hand over the sheets according to the names written on the top!'
As all the teams are given their maps, shaking hands with the other teams, and wishing them luck, they take up their routes. As the routes were stony, the teams were facing difficulty to reach the destinations.
