Kalpana its not the metro thats the reason for the delay...its the bad planning...no alternate routes like in some cities all vehicles reaching south bangalore from white field Sarjapur Road or Hosur road cross silk board junction which is hell...most l vehicles to reach whitefield should cross Marathahalli where there is nnothing left of the road in some stretches
If you leave the city and have to cross Lalbagh...there is a bus stationthat is cause for regular congestion and Flowershow like events temporary...September will be Ganesha occupying the road October December shoppers and tourists and November Statehood causing road blocks...to complicate matters would be a shower dignitary visit procession or meeting...Metro is just one more factor

This ls tough. I read an article in Hindu a year ago abt BDA coming out with under passes and flyovers on ORR linking many roads . I hv heard a lot about the silk board junction. There's a flyover there coming up right? Or have they opened it to the public already.
Processions of idols, VIP battery of cars, shops blocking 40 percent of the road ...
You can never get bored of the vibrancy that's there on the road bk home.
Here, drowsy driving is a big risk on the roads . While driving on the highways straight for 200 odd miles within no time you can catch yourself nodding off behind the wheel. It's risky
