If I were to stand in Ritu Madaan shoes, here goes , just my angle of thought. Bally like bosses are like puddle of water in a parched land.
II botched up in the beginning. She took off to Paris side stepping her, came bk , worked , again took a week off for shatabdi , pushed herself to go to amritsar, strike in FIL's co happened, left Amritsar for the wkend unhappy that she is not appreciated by her boss even after clocking 60 hrs a week in an area that's ashwini's more and now after the wkend she is informing Ritu that she will be off. As a boss, Ritu is thinking oh II ' the privileged employee who is connected to the an important client The base was never set, trust not established, communication mode as needed basis and given the bk drop of II 's family connects with one of the biggest clients of KMPG, it's not surprising that Madaan would be apprehensive about it. She should be one workholic hard nut to crack to get to where she is now .
So when she saw II in the premises on her day off, she got snoopy. However IMO, even if it was snarky of Ritu approaching II about it on her day off, the thing was Ritu let II know about it. The feeling of distrust is mutual. And everything is out in the open now . It doesn't matter how Bally saw II's commitment and she never took off from work earlier and she is entitled to take accumulated leave, that was then, now for Ritu, it's like II taking off as she pleases. Today's employees are not able to take off inspite of having 60/ 70 days of leave accumulated.
It's for II not to mop around and take a call for herself . May be this was the shove she needed.
I see this as a sharp curve and it will be interesting to see how II negotiates this curve.
On a different note if Madaan ( she is not married, isn't she ) hopelessly falls in love and gets married and if her dude makes her see stars then kuch ban sakta hai ...temporary relief and the mutual , "ok now I get you sister" to II can follow . I am cracking myself here. đ đ
