Part 56
1 week later..
It was Saturday evening and Arnav and khushi were supposed to attend Arnav's friend and business associate siddharth's wedding Anniversary.. They reached the venue and moved in..
Khushi was in a blue-green designer saree.. her hair curled.. making her look more beautiful and Arnav was in his gray 3 piece suite with black shirt and tie looking dashing as always.
Khushi's look:
They moved in and were welcomed by Siddharth and his wife Naina.. They congratulated the couple and stood chatting to them when someone tapped khushi's shoulder..
Khushi turned behind to see her friend Mia in a yellow saree grinning at her.. khushi was surprised seeing Mia here.. Mia hugged khushi and greeted Arnav with a smile.. Arnav too smiled back at her..
Khushi: (pulling back from the hug) Mia.. what a pleasant surprise! when did you return from cape town?
Mia: yesterday evening.. i wanted to call you but then i knew you would be attending Sidhart's party so thought of surprising you..
Khushi smiled..
Mia: (teasing) khushi you have become so busy with your married life nowadays that you've forgotten your friends completely..
Khushi: No its nothing like that..
She blushed making Arnav smirk and everyone else laugh..

The dinner was over and khushi was pulled away to the other corner by Mia wanting to catch up..
Khushi and Mia were busy talking and laughing about something when Naina came to them with lavanya..
Khushi was not happy seeing lavanya here.. why did this woman had to be everywhere they went.. Naina introduced lavanya to khushi and Mia..
Naina: Meet lavanya SM company's (Sidhart's company) previous model and a very good friend of mine..
Khushi gave a half smile to lavanaya and mia too smiled at her.. Naina and Mia did not know that lavanya was Arnav's ex girlfriend..

Arnav who was standing with his associates and Aman was shocked to see khushi standing with mia, Naina and lavanya.. what the hell was lavanya doing here??
Arnav: Aman.. what the hell is lavanya doing here?
Aman looked where Arnav was looking to see lavanaya standing with khushi, mia and Naina..
Aman: i dont know ASR.. i dint know that she was invited too..
Arnav: damn it! Aman.. i need to get khushi out of here before its too late..
Arnav moved across the room to khushi in few long strides only to hear Naina speak..
Naina: khushi im sure you'll be knowing her as she's the current model of AR..
f*ck Arnav cursed under his breath as he saw colour draining from khushi's face..
Khushi looked at Naina shocked.. Naina still continued oblivious of what problem she was creating for Arnav..
Naina: (to lavanya) you just joined AR this week, right?
Lavanya: yeah.. khushi we met on Saturday at the hotel and ASR appointed me on Monday..
She smiled..
Khushi looked on feeling numb inside.. Arnav had appointed lavanya? Despite knowing the fact what lavanya was..
Khushi gulped the lump forming in her throat and saw Arnav standing behind Naina.. she looked at him hurt and he looked at her with a guilty..
He moved to them and excused himself and khushi.. he held khushi's hand and was moving out when Khushi got her hand out of his grip..
Arnav: (trying to hold her) khu..
Khushi: (moving back) dont..
holding back her tears and choking on her words..
Khushi: just dont..
She said that and turning moved back in the party..
Hurt was evident in her eyes.. he saw her standing next to Mia and Naina.. lavanya had left from there talking to someone else.. he wanted to explain and make her understand the reason for him hiding the matter from her but she was not ready to listen.. he thought of giving her sometime to calm down and explaining later.. he too moved back in the party..

Half and hour passed and Arnav though was standing with Siddharth and his associates.. his eyes were on khushi.. she was still standing with mia and other guests trying her best to not show how hurt she was..
Some soft music was played and some couples were ball dancing on the floor..
Arnav saw a handsome guy come to her and ask her for dance to which she denied polity..
He soo wanted to take her in his arms and console her but he knew doing that right now will only make her break down.. hence he thought of waiting..
Thats when Naina came to Arnav and taking him to khushi joined her hand with his asking them to dance..
Khushi smiled at Naina not wanting her to know that something was wrong with them..
Arnav was happy.. at least he'll have his wife in his arms now.. he held her hand in his and led her to the dance floor.. the lights went dim and the music started..
Arnav taking khushi's hands placed them in his shoulders and holding her waist started swaying to the music slowly..
He tried to talk to her while dancing but khushi not wanting to listen moved back only to be pulled closer by him.. she almost bumped into him and looked at him angrily..
Arnav: (softly) you dont want to talk then its fine.. but dont leave..
Arnav was looking at khushi all the while but she dint look at him at all.. he could see tears forming in her eyes.. he felt bad.. he could never see her crying.. not because of him.. khushi moved closer to him placing her head on his shoulder not wanting anybody to see her tears.. Arnav knew she was weeping.. he held her close almost hugging her and pressed his lips to her neck..
Just as khushi felt his lips on her neck she broke the hug and looking at him once left the dance floor..
He was just about to follow her when lavanya held his arm..
Lavanya: ASR.. lets dance..
Before Arnav could deny.. lavanya held his arms and placed them on her waist..
Khushi was was standing at the bar wanting some water saw Arnav's hands on lavanya waist and fumed.. she without thinking further took the glass of drink placed infront of her and gulped it down in one go and left the venue..
Arnav saw her gulping the drink and moving out.. he moved lavanya away followed khushi outside..

Khushi walked out of the venue and started walking towards the parking.. As she reached the parking area she started feeling dizzy and was just about to fall when Arnav caught her..
Arnav: (holding her close and cupping her cheek) khushi?
Khushi opened her eyes and looked at him dazed for a minute.. she remembered that she was angry on him and got out of his hold..
Khushi: (tipsy) dont touch me..
She said stumbling on her foot.. Arnav tried holding her but she moved away and leaned on a car which was parked next to her..
Khushi: you! i said.. dont touch me.. only my Arnav can touch me.. you are not my Arnav..
Arnav knew she was not in her senses.. she had never drunk before and having that drink for the first time was making her lose her senses..
Arnav: (moving closer to her) khushi.. you're drunk.. come.. lets go home..
He held her arm and khushi pushed him away..
Khushi: no.. im not drunk..
She giggled and was about to fall again when Arnav held her carrying her in his arms moved to his car.. khushi protested hitting his chest with her fists..
Khushi: leave me.. i said leave me.. if my husband comes to know he will not leave you..
Arnav not paying heed to her placed her in the car and took his seat..
