You commented yesterday, about Amma wanting her to get pregnant too. Somwhere in Amma's mind a fear has been planted by the whole Subbu debacle, a broken rishta a is a BIG DEAL for anyone in India.
Amma secretly hopes she should have a healthy child. II is younger, more courageous, and is willing to take on a child like Periappa
Atleast she believes so.
Amma has SEEN IT for 40 years or so, she has taken care of Periappa. She is more practical. She hasnt abandoned Periappa but Amma knows what a lot of work it is. Nobody in Appa's family wants to take care of him
Amma is putting all those thoughts into consideration when she wishes for a healthy child
It doesnt mean rejection of Periappa at all
It just means wishing for a easy life for II ALL PARENTS WANT THAT
