With last update Nisha gave everyone a reality check. And now I have many real stories to share from my workplace.
May be by that time Nisha will post new update which will divert us to think about other realities.
I have two friends at my workplace. Both are extremely intelligent. One is always restless and not content in life. The other is extremely self content with small small happiness. Both started career at 22 by 26 they had strong career and got married at 26. The first one always worked hard spent more time in office giving complex to men and women in the team.she always got highest rating in the team. The other worked hard but gave equal importance to family life also.
When the first friend got married her husband got a chance to work in Europe, he asked her to join him also offered to work or study in those 2 years. She was extremely adamant to quit the job and join him. So he cut short his trip to 6 months and cane back. There was separation of 6 months just after 3 months of marriage. Within a month he came back she went to US for 6 months and again a separation.
The second friend made small trips like 2 to 3 weeks in 2 years and spent time with her family.
Both decided 2 have babies at 28 and planned for it. Within two months both got pregnant.
The first friend forced her husband take long term onshore so that she will join him this time. He went to onshore, she never joined him again giving career excuses. The couple couldn't enjoy her pregnancy together. Again he came back after six months.
The second friend enjoyed her pregnancy with her husband and family.
Both delivered babies in a week difference.
The first friend joined office just after three months of maternity leave. Where as my company increased the maternity leave to 6 months now and she can avail it. She wants her in- laws and patents to take care of baby. Now she is planning to go US with baby and mom for 1 year. But her husband can't accompany her. Now separating baby from dad
My second friend called me and told, yaar I want to take break for two years. I don't want to put this responsibility on my parents or in-laws to make my career. I want to spend every minute with baby for the first 2 year. I want to capture all these happiness which are never going to come back. She told me I may achieve things in life bit slow compare to first friend but I am happy with my decision.
Who is the better woman here?
So many real tales to share...

, one thing I try and practice is not to judge another person.. I had a colleague in my office, the only Indian apart from me, she told she came back to work in 3 weeks after giving birth as she wasn't into holding the baby, she has 3 kids all r 14 months apart after each kid she got a promotion, she is a SVP now in Japanese bank ( a very big deal as Japs don't believe in gender equality) her kids are super intelligent & very kind. She is a great mom, but to her career was equally important. She provided the kids with the best of best nannies when they were small. Her kids are super proud of her as I met them in bring your kid to work. I asked her girl, what does she wanna be in Punjabi and she said that I want to be like my mom as she is the best.maybe your friend is super competitive and she thrives being at work. Let's not judge her😊
