Chapter 1: What Started it All
"Excuse me!" a young man called out. "You! Come here!"
In the city of Mumbai, there was a small cafe known as Chai To Your Table. And right in this small cafe, a young girl who worked as a waitress in this cafe. The girl turned around to the young man, who was calling her from a table. She definitely didn't look like a typical waitress. She had long messy black hair and wore an apron over her plaid shirt and blue jeans that had at least two small holes on them along with a pair of sneakers. And that girl was me.
I came towards the man and said, "Yes?"
"You...," the young man said as he then looked my name tag which read Sandy. "Sandy?"
"Yeah, that's me! Sandhya Kapoor! But everyone calls me Sandy!" I exclaimed.
"Whatever! You call yourself a waitress?!"
Excuse me person I don't know?
"Is there a problem?"
"Don't you have a proper uniform?! How can you go around serving people dressed like that?!"
"Oh! I'm so sorry! I didn't know you were the sheriff around here telling me what to wear when I serve my customers!"
Seriously who made him the king of fashion?!?
"I didn't mean-"
"Oh shut up! And listen here, if I want to wear jeans when serving, then I will! I don't need your permission for that. And if you're not happy, then no worries! Go get your damn chai somewhere else!"
"Fine! I will!"
The young man stood up and began to leave while I looked on, shaking my head. Once I turned around I saw none other than Mr. Shukla, my boss, standing right before me. "You kicked out a customer?!" Mr. Shukla asked.
"Come on, sir! You'll thank me later! Don't have such third standard people come to your cafe! People come here to enjoy their coffee. Not what the waitresses wear!"
And that was me, Sandy Kapoor. You may wonder how I didn't get fired that day. Well, Mr. Shukla hired me for that attitude of mine. Without it, we wouldn't have proper customers at our cafe. After all, Chai To Your Table is the best cafe in Mumbai! And I'm not biased when I say that.

Later that day, I came to my apartment building. My flat was on the third floor. Once I entered, I threw my backpack onto the couch, heading over to the kitchen. There was a young guy there who greeted me, saying, "Hey, Sandhya!"
"Sandy, Yudi! Sandy!" I corrected him for probably the thousandth time.
And that was Yudi Kapoor, my older brother. After our parents died four years ago, Yudi became my legal guardian and we now live in our own apartment. As siblings, we make sure we pay for rent equally. While I work in the cafe, Yudi currently works at a local magazine office for Mumbai Talkies. His dream has always been to become a cartoonist. In fact, when we were kids, he always said that he would revolutionize animation in India.' But as of now, he works as an assistant to the editor in chief for Mumbai Talkies. But he still doesn't give up on the dream.
"What's for dinner?" I asked Yudi casually.
"Your favorite... butter chicken."
"Yes! It's been so long!" I say a bit too dramatically.
He shook his head, "So how was work?"
"The usual. I got to tell off this ignorant customer over there," I say proudly as if achieving a gold medal.
"Oh great! What happened?"
"You should've been there!" I say, "He thought he had the right to tell me how I should dress when serving customers! Bloody nonsense!"
"Oh, Sandy! You and your attitude," Yudi chuckled.
"Yeah, yeah! So tell me...how was work for you?"
"Let's talk about it over dinner."
"Why?! Something important?!"
"You'll see."
"WAIT! WHAT?!" I screamed at the dinner table. As Yudi and I were eating, he finally told me what he had to tell me. "You're going to Delhi?!"
Jee Sandy that wasn't loud at all. Wanna shout a little louder so the entire Mumbai can hear you? My conscious mocked me. I ignored that annoying little voice in my head and focused on what Yudi was saying.
"Yeah," Yudi said, "My boss, Mr. Apte, is going there to check out a film shooting. So I have to go as well."
"So that means I'm going to be alone?" I asked slowly.
"It's just a matter of a few days. Then I'll be back soon," Yudi assured. "I hope that's okay."
"It's fine. I'll manage." I smiled.
"Good," Yudi said, "Just remember. No setting the house on fire and definitely no getting into trouble."
"Wow! You really think I'll abuse the freedom like that?!" I smirked. "Very funny!" I rolled my eyes.
I am pretty responsible you know... sort of.
"Just make sure you come to see me off at the airport." Yudi sighed.

The next morning, I made sure Yudi had all his bags packed. After that, we left for the airport by taxi and got there in half an hour. Inside the airport, I walked with Yudi as he got ready to board his flight.
"You have everything, right?" I asked Yudi. "Ticket, passport etc," I kept on babbling.
"Of course, Sandy! Don't worry!" He put his hands on my shoulder assuring me.
I sighed, "I'm not worried! Just making sure..." I say looking down.
"I know. I'm going to miss you so much," he said smiling.
"Same here! Just have a safe flight, okay?"
"Of course!"
With that, I smiled and gave Yudi a big hug. And so, he grabbed his bags and headed off. I waved him bye as he then left to board the plane. And then, right as I was about to leave, it happened. Now you may be wandering, what exactly is "it"? Well I'll tell you right now.
As I turned to leave, at that very moment, I bumped into someone - a young guy who was just walking in my way. That one bump made me fall right onto him causing both of us to fall on the floor.
Who was this guy? Well, he was no ordinary guy I'll tell you that. How do I know? Because at that very moment, some random photographers started surrounding us and taking pictures of what I guess the paparazzi would call a "scandalous fall."
I had no idea what the hell was going on! I just fell on the guy! And he was the one who bumped into me! As I looked at his face, I gasped.
Oh dear, Sandy what have you done?
The guy was none other than... Prince Rohan Singh Rajput.
