The Arnav in this story would not cheat on Khushi. But a misunderstanding is needed at this point to make the separation seem realistic otherwise Khushi would never leave him.

It's important to note that I said the notion of fidelity depends on a culture.

In Arnav/Lavanya/Khushi and Boney/Mona/Sridevi case the difference is when the divorce was filed. Arnav filed for divorce even before meeting Khushi hence I did not consider it as infidelity. Clearly Boney made Sridevi pregnant and then filed for divorce, so it is infidelity.

If Aarav did not die and Arnav continued his marriage with Lavanya and then met Khushi & slept with her then it is infidelity. No question about that. I wont give him a slack just because he is Arnav Raizada. In fact I did not like Arnav divorcing his wife and being with Khushi when thay had just lost their child (just like Aastha) and when we did not anything about his marriage. And Jen told me that I will change my views once the secret was revealed.

Just because I did not consider his sleeping with Khushi as infidelity, I won't consider his actions as such, now. (I'm just being fair ;) )

Dil ka rishta etc and he may not actually sleep with anybody because he deeply loves Khushi- I do understand that part.. But I wont question his character if he does otherwise..

Nice update Jen... Contents wise very heart breaking...arnav wasn't responding to khushi's calls, texts and emails but when he sees her couldn't even resist looking at her for even a brief moment... He loves her to the core but showing so much hate when she is around...Why the heck the blond answered the call? Khushi should learn to show some trust towards her love now...Waiting for the rest...

Jen, my bak bak on infidelity is done. Will just wait for the update keeping my fingers crossed.

My two cents:: Most divorce laws are man made and relatively recent. Speaking for my own religion, our holy book does not condone divorce in general except under very few extenuating circumstances. Most religions( with few exceptions) consider marriage to be a divinely ordained union that should not be severed. The provision for divorce in the form of civil laws was a byproduct of farsighted people who dared to question the rationality of the existing norms of society. Even now, many argue that these laws are far from perfect and when they question these laws, they question the fallible intellect of man not divinity.

As far as fidelity is concerned, I believe that laws can't either ensure or enforce fidelity, whether physical or emotional. Only a person's conscience(individual principles) can do that.
