Isn't it incredible how opportunities can manifest itself when you least expect it? I am talking of her driving to that site in the first place and meeting Venkat for the first time. Also, I truly do admire the way that Kushi deliberated on the job offer with her father before deciding to give it even though she had no clue what she was getting herself into. I am only going here in answer to Aman's question. She is not an archaeology student, the dirt did not excite her, the findings were not sexy enough at first glance for a youngster like her but she gave it a try and has learned so much from Venkat, from the students, even from the discoveries being unburied. The best part is the satisfaction she is getting from it, calloused hands, and all. She made new friends and has a great mentor in Venkat. Sometimes you don't know what you will like until you jump in and for Kushi it was a self discovery.

Oh.. So they are a work in progress now.. Not bad. they on their first date?

I love all your stories because you bring a sense of reality to all your characters ,,khushie this summer will outgrow payal as she has seen and been connected to a group of people who have a lot of dept in them and it could been a defining moment in her life ,she figure out what's important for her ,and make her a strong person ,looking fwd to more from you

This is the summer she will remember for life. She is growing with this experience. What a stroke of luck that she found venkat and he offered her the job.

Khushi is growing up in so many ways. She decided to drive Dr. Venkat around because she was bored and wanted to get away from the house and Payal. But slowly she realized that she was actually enjoying all that the job had to offer and more - she even takes pride in seeing her calloused hands after the hard work! I guess when you are content with what you do, then other factors may diminish in their intensity (like her relationship or lack of it with Payal)
