Not only was my roomie Miss. Spoiled, she was also Ms. Popularity. Already I regretted taking my chances with a roommate. Not that I had any choice. Its not like I knew anyone working in the theme park; and even if I had convinced Prithvi to come, the dorm prohibited to have co-d rooms. Sure there were boys allowed on the same floor, but just not in the same suites.

The questionnaire I had completed had just asked one preference for the roommate section- Do you smoke?

So all I really knew about Alliyah was that she didn't smoke, she was a slob, a guy magnet, and from Los Angeles. Not exactly resounding endorsements.

Just then the door burst open and there stood my roommate. It had to be. She was shorter than me, five-five to my five-nine. She had short cropped hair, the color of midnight sky, and dark but lively eyes.

"Oh gosh! I'm so sorry!" she exclaimed, moving into the room like a strong wind was pushing her. "Id planned to get back and clear everything up, but then Josh wanted to go to the lake."

And who was Josh? Guy number three?

She dropped two large shopping bags on the bed. "Can you believe I didn't pack my bathing suit? I mean HELOO?! Im working on a lake. How dumb was that? Totally. So we had to go to the mall and they had his killer beginning of summer sale. So I just couldn't buy like, one bikini you know?" She jumped over a box on the floor and grinned at me. "Im Alliyah by the way…incase you didn't figure it out already." Her eyes got really big. "But im sure you did. Because you look like you're really smart."

I just stared at her. I had never met anyone that could talk nonstop. She laughed at my expression.

"You're Kripa right?" I nodded. "Ill just clean this up in like, five minutes" then she pointed towards the door on the right of the room. "Our suitemates are like, total slobs!" she said. I just shook my head slightly.

It was true though. Each suite had two rooms, that were connected by a bathroom. I peeked in the bathroom and grimaced. It hadn't been twenty minutes since we had arrived (we being my roomie and my suitemates), and already the sink was covered with different face masques and makeup.

I looked back in the room and I saw that Alliyah did as she said. Of course, her definition of cleaning was totally different than mine. It's not like was a neat freak or anything, but my room was always presentable at least. My roomie was just stuffing clothes in the dresser and stacking the boxes in the closet.

"So you're from like, Dallas rite? " I nodded. "My family and I have been there a couple of times, for vacation and stuff. Just passing through the airport though. Is this your first time hear?"

I was getting dizzy, but I managed to get out a "yep"

She laughed. "Yep? That sounds so Texan. But you don't have much of a accent. I thought Texans had a slow drawl."

"it depends on which part of Texas you're from." I replied, desperate to get the conversations away from me. "By the way, you got some calls while you were gone." I pointed to her desk.

She scanned the piece of paper after picking it up. "Cole called! That was so sweet of him. Did he leave a message?"

I just shook my head no. There was no way I was going to tell her that he said he loved her.

"Hmm. That's weird….he always leaves a 'love ya' message. That's Cole though! Full of love! How about Angad?" her voice softened with the mention of his name. "He didn't leave a message either?" Once again shook my head.

"Im surprised he called. He hates talking on the phone.." She said.

Could've fooled me…that guy was a regular chatterbox.

She picked up her phone and dialed a number.

"Hello? Ya sry….my phone wasn't charged. I was at the mall with Josh…..ya….wait Kripa...ya she seems nice. Ill come over later ok? Kay bye. Love ya…" she said and hung up.

"Angad's such a sweetheart. I love him." She said.

"Does he live in the dorms?" I asked despite myself.

"Nooo way! He's nineteen. Already had a year away at college. No way would he be caught like, living somewhere with a curfew. He lives in a little house by the lake, which he and Cole rented for the summer."

Angad lived in a lake house with Cole….the same Cole who professed his love for Alliyah….and Alliyah told Angad that she went to the mall with Josh….and she said she loved Angad. What a weird situation!

Just then a knock came from the other side of the door. Alliyah bounded over and opened it. There, leaning carelessly on the door, was a guy.

"Josh!!!" Alliyah squealed. She hugged him. Then she turned to me. "We're going to this hot restaurant to eat dinner. Wanna come? They don't serve food in the cafeteria on Sundays."

Decisions, Decisions …go with Alliyah and her boyfriend (well, at least one of them) and be a third wheel; or stay here and call Prithvi. No brainer.

"You guys go ahead. Im just going to chill out and unpack." Alliyah looked sad but she just waved and then they were gone.

I flopped down on the bed and dialed Prithvi's speed dial number.

That's all for now! Now I promise to you all the Alliyah and Angad DO NOT get together at all in this ff so you all can relax. But yes, they do share a very special relationship- you all will just have to wait to learn what it is! And I can promise you that it will be a BIG surprise. So look out for that. Angad wasn't there much in this part, but he will be soon. Coming up next: Kripa gets her job assigned…and she gets the worst possible one. She meets Angad. How and When? To know that you all will have to keep reading! There won't be a part tomorrow, but there will be a promo that will be quite intriguing. I did not proofread this part so sry for the mistakes!
