I am but an insignificant existence in this world (in most worlds, really) so being noticed threw me off.

People demand unconditionality and unbounded trust from love. It is possible to give, but it gets hollow without a returned sense of security.
Because insignificance is scary.
Here's the Valentine's day lesson from this chapter for me: No matter how much your loved one perfectly understands you, reads you from your eyes and absorbs the unspoken, SAY IT.
Tell them anyway what they really mean. Tell them you love them.
