Shehnaiyo kee sada keh rahee hai
Khushee kee mubarak ghadee aa gayee hai
Sajee surkh jodee me chand see dulhan
Jamin peh falak se paree aa gayee hai

Breaths of Arnav and Khushi were halted as Arnav who was doing the rituals which were necessary for a groom to do before marriage, laid his eyes on the sensuous form of his dear bride, on whose cheeks there was a hue of crimson darker than that of her dress.

With the glow of love on her face, in that beautiful lehenga designed by Arnav SIngh Raizada himself and more than everything in the ceremonial atmosphere of a marriage, Khushi looked like a fairy who landed from the moon just for him.

" Arpit Kijeye, Shriman.." The priest requested Arnav to offer the offerings into the sacrificial fire, while Khushi giggled softly as it brought him back to earth and continued doing what he was supposed to.

It was not the musical instruments which were playing in the background, it was the heartbeat of two lovers meeting, happiness of two families uniting and the joy and rejoice of true love triumphing which was the background music for the auspicious moment.

(Dulhe kaa sehra suhana lagta hai - 2
Dulhan kaa toh dil divana lagta hai) - (2)
Palbhar me kaise badalte hain rishte - (2)
Abb toh har apna begana lagta hai

Suddenly the sehra which Anjali and Nani had forcefully tied on his head, looked beautiful to him, after all it was related to his marriage with Khushi. With heart beats going awry, Khushi looked no less than a spellbound person on whome the groom had cast the charm of his love.

Everyone else there seemed like stranger to them, as Khushi walked with love-filled eyes and grace-filled steps to the Mandap to be seated beside Arnav. Although she had sat beside him for thousands of times, this time it seemed as if it was the most right thing, most perfect thing which happened with them.

" Call the bride's parents for the Kanya Daan." The priest's announcement made Khushi's eyes fill with tears while Arnav held her hand while transferring his energy as they forgot every misery which haunted them.

It has always been said that the foster parents are greater than biological parents and that's the same reason why Yashoda is always held above Devaki in Krishna Leela. Shashi and Garima, began the rituals with pain-filled eyes as their daughter was ritualistically becoming someone's treasure from that moment, as they are handing over her responsibility to her husband and her love.

Ritualistically that was the moment, a girl's parents become strangers to her but her parents had become strangers to her since her birth itself. And Shashi and Garima were not parents for Khushi, they were god for Khushi, who looked at them with eyes gleaming with admiration and glistening with pain.

(Sat phero se bandha janmo kaa yeh bandhan
Pyar se joda hai rab ne prit kaa daman) - (2)
Hain nayee rasme, nayee kasme, nayee uljhan
Honth hai khamosh, lekin keh rahee dhadkan
Dhadkan dhadkan dhadkan... - (2)
Dhadkan meree dhadkan, dhadkan teree dhadkan - (2)
Mushkil ashko ko chhupana lagta hai - (2)

" Please stand up for the circumambulations." The priest stood up while the bride and the groom stood up after Garima had tied them in the nuptial knot, the Gath Bandhan.

Who even required words to speak when the heartbeats could do all the speaking? The ethereal silence in between them, resonating in the sacred hymns uniting them for the coming seven births, had developed a sense of belonging in them for each other.

As new relationships, new commitments were created, new promises and new vows were made, the satisfied and pleased look on their faces, brought tears to the family members.

Just as Arnav wanted, he was now guiding the three circumambulations around the sacred fire, as they promised to each other to be of each other, to be for each other and to be by each other forever and Khushi was guiding the four circumambulations around the all devouring fire, which was present in them as the zesty, exuberant and passionate love.

The happiness of uniting with her love was making tears appear in Khushi's eyes as she walked behind Arnav and looked at him with love-filled eyes.

Arnav and Khushi took their seats while the priest forwarded the ceremonial plate with marital chain and vermilion and asked Arnav to complete the remaining rituals.

Arnav tied the chain around Khushi's neck while the crimson hue increased on her cheeks to match the color of the vermilion adorning her partition, while she completely became his, for the next seven births.

Mai teree baho ke jhule me palee babul
Ja rahee hu chhodke teree galee babul
Mai teree baho ke jhule me palee babul - (3)
Ja rahee hu chhodke teree galee babul
Khubsurat yeh jamane yad aayenge
Chahke bhee ham tumhe naa bhul payenge
Muskhil, mushkil, mushkil daman ko churana lagta hai
Dulhan kaa toh dil divana lagta hai

After the completion of the main rituals for the marriage, Arnav and Khushi took the blessings of their elders while Khushi ended up crying in her father's arms as she was always daddy's little girl more than mumma's.

The memories which she cannot forget even if she wanted, the house which gave her so many moments to cherish, was the one she was going to leave behind. How unfair was the rule that girls have the leave their house, their surname and their title after getting married? But it was not the time to debate, it was the time to leave without a question.

Arnav hugged Khushi from the side while consoling while Shashi gestured him to take care of her while Garima was crying too furiously to even think anything.

" Khushi, if you want to stay back here, I am fine with it. You don't have to bear so much of pain for me. " Arnav consoled her while her husband's love for her, overwhelmed Khushi.

" No, Arnav. If I cannot bear distance from my parents, I can neither bear distance from you. And even my parents want me to be with you, but yes, you will have to let me come here whenever I wish." Khushi spoke through her tears while Arnav chuckled mildly at her and said,

" I wish to stay alive so your wish is my command, Mrs.Raizada. Anymore commands for this poor husband of yours?"

" Just one more and nothing else after that. Hold My Hand, Forever. Because with you holding my hand, every pain and every obstacle will become sweet and dear to me." Khushi looked into her reflection in the love-filled pools of her husband while Arnav took her in a tight embrace of affection.

" This is the promise which means to me more than any other promise and even the seven vows of the marriage, Khushi. I will let go off my breath but not this promise." Arnav gently kissed Khushi's hairs while everyone blessed the couple to never separate in their life and love to never fade in their relationship.
