Beautifully written wedding ceremony.. I could easily say this is one of the best interpretations of the hindu wedding ceremony that I have read. The emotions that the two went through and the losing battle against desire and hope...very evocatively captured.
Also Khushi's heart break towards the end...brilliant!!

They become Man and Wife. Two different personalities , two entirely different dream , two different ideologies ,but that is how most of the marriages happen and gradually woman will adjust or sacrifice their dream , ideologies and alter their personality for men and family. Will this happen in Khushi's case too. I don't think so, your Khushi is a fighter , a true , brave and feisty woman , she will not give up easily .
But can we blame Arnav? No, all he did is wished to be with Khushi in his entire life. Their ideologies, thoughts are influenced by two different cultures, Arnav's personality has the impact of western culture, they usually give preference to end result rather than the path they used, they use force like they did in the name of colonialism.
We can't blame him for supporting Britishers as he focused only on the positive side of British rule, for him they will bring development . He has to understand that Indian's do need development ,but not at the cost of freedom.
This work has become more interesting now, eager to know who will sacrifice their dream to achieve the love.

I was happy and excited for them given that their turmoil took a backseat during the rituals and they were both lost in the primitive emotions they made each other feel. But alas it came to an end soon, too soon for me!!! How can Arnav be so foolish? He knows how much staying in India means to her and yet he has decided to go to England and that too without asking or consulting her. This was insensitive on his part. Granted he loves her and thinks he is doing it for their best but yet I can't believe he will do such thing. He is the same man who told her that he was ready to give up on his dream to stay with her, to make their relationship work and today he behaved in such an insensitive way. But I'm holding him on the words he said as Khushi was steeping out to the pool. I'll wait for him to fulfill his promise of Forever 😳

I'm sorry but I don't feel bad for Khushi. She decided that she wanted to marry NK, even when Arnav had offered to stay in India for her. She had decided that she will leave his love behind to honour her word. Now frankly, even though Arnav loves her I don't feel sorry that he didn't ask her opinion.
But that doesn't mean Arnav is right in not asking her opinion first. She's his wife after all. He can't assume his decision is the right decision.
