New reader here!

OMG meera is so adorable! I wanted to give her a big hug. She really is missing her father a lot. She's looking up to Arnav already. And Arnav knows how to handle her as he's a father himself.

Manorma has seen the changes in khushi. I'm glad that she's doing something about it. That was a good idea about meeting Arnav when they go to India. It's so good to see her care for khushi like her own.

I felt so sorry for khushi. She is lost without her husband. Hopefully Arnav will be the one to show her that she still has a lot to live for. Keen to know what exactly happend between the two 10 years ago.

I am back Mirabell as promised with more comments.

What are second chances anyway? Are there really things like second chances?

Assuming that Arnav and Khushi were in love with each other at one point in time, have they totally moved on? Has the void created in their hearts due to the separation been filled at all? Incase they were in love and got separated, then Khushi marrying NK and Arnav marrying Maya, were those not second chances? Then what is this called if destiny is giving them another chance? A third chance??? (I guess I am asking too many questions, but trust me Mira, this thought has been hogging my mind from quite some time.)

I remembered the movie "Kabhi kabhi" where the couple in love get separated due to some social circumstances and both end up marrying someone different. Though they found the best of the partners, yet they never moved on totally. The void left in their hearts could never be filled.

Is that not how life is? When you love someone deeply and if you are taken away from them by some unforseen circumstances, do you really move on in life? Probably to an extent you do, afterall you have to live, you might love someone again, but would that love be complete?

Just like here, Khushi even remembers the number of years, months and days, probably the day they parted from each other. Then did she ever move on? Same with Arnav, why did he show up at her place after all this time? Why after NK died or after he divorced?

She missed her NK, Naren Krishnan, her friend, her shadow.

The above sentence really intrigued me. NK was indeed her husband, her friend, her shadow but what about her love?

Meera already seems to have taken a liking for Arnav. I guess every child needs both its parents for a normal functioning. Did she see some kind of similarities between her dad and Arnav??

Waiting to read more.

Khushi's mental high five made me giggle- I like how she recalls NK at the most mundane moments. Parallel parking isn't necessarily something you would think would inspire a recollection, but... it is. And then she touches the wedding ring, and you feel for her, you feel that sense of loss along with her.

The face of a widow; if loss had a face, it would be this face: I said earlier that you have these lines in the updates that I look for, and this one... I think is the one for this update. So poetic. Just makes you think.

I love the line about a decade's worth of silence. I love silence, since it can say so much- and I know you feel the same. It was such a you line. And despite the decade that has passed, and the awkwardness that lingers... I like how there's this sense of familiarity between them, how he still knows her body language.

The moment when Khushi says that NK taught Meera how to swim, how to... made me flinch. It was so honest, and that... rush of words, being unable to keep them in, just having to say them, was so perfectly portrayed. God, do you feel for Khushi in that moment- and although I am an Arnav/Khushi shipper till the end, I have never more wished that NK was there in that moment.

It was so endearing to see Khushi slip back, if only for a moment, into that girl she was ten years back as she answered Arnav's eight questions. Unfettered by grief, the pain of losing her beloved NK, the one who she still turns to to share the most simplest of accomplishments.

You conveyed so much with Arnav's "How are you?". A seemingly mundane query infused with so much depth. And with "as if her hands represented her being and his, his own". A beautiful way of showing his want to absorb her pain.

I am waiting to know more about Mohan. A happy much loved child by all accounts in need of special care?

The "why now" which Khushi wonders makes me feel that whatever happened 'ten years ten months nine days' back, it was Khushi who was left waiting ... ?

As ever, Mirabell, your story is a joy to read :)

There is something so captivating about this story, that has me hooked. Your writing is amazing! The emotions, the story line, the mystery surrounding the past has me so intrigued that I have scenarios running in my head what it could be and it's driving me nuts!

The last update had left me speechless, and this wasn't any different especially the beginning when she was thinking about NK. They shared a deep connection, and there was love not to mention a precious little girl... who BTW I LOVE... I feel for Khushi as she continues to be in pain even though she is living her life. I wish NK was around to be with his three girls.

Loved how the silence, awkwardness eased into conversation among two friends... really loved it. I felt like I was sitting on the sidelines aw'ing, crying, laughing with them. And what the heck is up with their past...damn I have to wait.

There are so many things I am curious about, and I can't wait to see if I am right. One thing that has stuck in my mind is Arnav's son does he have a disability where it relates to Khushi's profession...that one is close to home, so it's stuck in my mind.

This should be a very interesting journey, and I am anxiously waiting to see how this plays out.

Arnav and Khushi have shared an intimate relationship.

Then why did they break up?

Khushi and NK were a much in love couple.(it seems)

Did Arnav know him?

And Maya!

How are she and Arnav friends?

I find their relationship too quite intriguing.

Will wait for you to reveal more.

NK died suddenly!

Must have been tough on the family.

Its specially difficult to understand when someone is apprently healthy and never been ill.

It just shakes you up.

PS- Arnav's son is called Mohan. I read a comment where the reader didliked the name. But I think maybe you named him after the famous actor Mohan. Are you a fan?

And MB, I found the update short.😔
