Hey everyone! So I don't know how many people still read ArSH fanfictions or write them but I was rewatching all the ArSh scenes the other day and i felt a sudden need to write something with the two of them. I had been watching one of my favorite movies, Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani and had the idea of writing this fanfiction.

Please give it a shot! I you love ArSh and YJHD, then I'm sure you'll enjoy my fanfiction :)

Armaan Mallik had one dream: to travel and see every corner of the world we lived in.

Shilpa Malhotra was attempting to live her dream, but everyday it gelt as if she was missing something in her life. Something she wasn't sure where to find.

When the two meet, they never expected to find what they did in one another: a friend. But will they be able to achieve their dreams? Will the they find that something that seems to be mission from their lives? Will they even be happy? We'll just have to see what fate has in store for them...

Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani:

Prologue

The music played loudly through out the main house of the resort like place that had been rented for Muskaan's wedding. Little kids ran from one house to the next, screaming and laughing, barely missing those with baskets of flowers and goods. The parents yelled after the children, but it didn't seem to stop them. The music only drowned out the shouting. In other corners, aunti-jis sat in a circle gossiping about the bride and her family, and even a little bit about the groom and his family. The uncle-jis sat in a completely different circle, drinking a little and laughing a little, wondering when everything would be done for the day so they could take a nap or be able to relax without anyone yelling at them to bring something heavy from one place to the other. Weddings were like this, everyone always busy, everyone always smiling.

Among all the mess was a woman who sat alone in her room of the main house. Yes, she got her own room for being the bride's best friend, it was required. It was a simple and small room, big enough for her to move about and do what she needed to. At the particular moment, the woman sat on the bed of the room, an old photo album in her hands. She was smiling at it, for the pictures only brought smiles to her face.

She stopped flipping when she got to a particular picture--a picture of a boy (well, a man now) she used to know. The picture was from 8 years ago, when she had taken a big risk in her life--when she had taken her own life in her hands. She had really gotten the chance to know Armaan then--yes, him. Armaan, Muskaan, Rahul...it was a trip Shilpa Malhotra could never forget.

She looked at Armaan's face smiling down at her own as he threw snow down the back of her jacket, her own face yelling at Armaan's. She missed him, she missed him everyday. It happened when one fell in love, but more importantly, it happened when you didn't see your friend all too often. But Armaan had a dream he had to accomplish, a dream she had no right to ruin, no right to get in the way of.

It had been 8 years since Armaan left to chase after his dreams, and Shilpa returned to her home in Mumbai. But she never forgot him. Never.
