Taani closed her eyes and relished the moment, she felt safe and secure in his arms. She savoured the feel of his strong arms around her, his nose in her hair, his lips brushing on her forehead. She had heard, read many times, that a hug from the person you care can do magic. But, she never felt it. She never understood what magic they were talking about. She thought it was some stupid belief. But, now when she is standing in circle of his arms, she exactly get to know, what exactly magic is there. She felt. . . content. A feeling she never experienced in her entire life before. He bought the feeling of contentment. She felt his fingers brushing the curve of her cheek, sending a delicious shudder through her body. She blinked open her eyes and lifted her head from his chest and met with brown orbs, watching her intently. She didn't miss the small smile graced his lips. She had seen him acting, throwing those charming oh-so-swoon-worthy smiles to the crowd of fans but the smile he gave her was, his smile for her. It was their moment. No one had seen the way his eyes light up. She gulped and offered a small smile to him. His arms were loosely around her. . . But, moment was broken by an annoying sound of a ping coming from Rey's pocket. Rey frowned and thrust his hand into his pocket, fishing out his phone. Keeping his one arm around her, he scrolled through his emails, Taani watched as his knotted eyebrows slowly left the tension and a pleasant, satisfactory smile came. She blinked, tried not to peek into his cell phone. He locked the mobile and looked at her with a grin on his face. Before he could open his mouth, they both heard noises from outside. Taani recognized Sharon and Swayam's voice. Rey shook his head and sighted.

"Let's go, otherwise those two will come here." He said, slightly annoyed. She nodded and walked towards the tray, putting everything in it. She felt Rey beside him, putting plates in tray. In few minutes, they were finished. Before, Taani could grasp the handles of tray, Rey slide it towards him and lifted it. "Let's go." Rey mumbled while walking towards door. Taani blinked but followed him. It was a normal thing to help your wife. But, she had never witnessed his 'this side'. So, Reyaansh Singhania can be sweet, Taani thought to herself as she followed Rey towards living room.

As soon as they entered, Sharon and Swayam turned towards them. Sharon grinned while Swayam looked at Taani then at Rey. But, it was hard to read his expression. Taani took the tray from Rey. "Let me put this in washing basin." Taani mumbled and walked past everyone, into the kitchen. Taani felt slightly nervous around Swayam. She knew, he never liked her nor he hated her. The kitchen staff was busy, so she put the utensils in the basin and started washing it. No one observed it as everyone was busy. She took the scrubber and stared the work, her mind drifting into the moment she and Rey shared in library.

"Just don't hurt me,I am tired of getting hurt."

"Never."

Her heart fluttered. He sounded so sincere. She wondered, what there is more in future.

Rey stared at his two friends as they grinned at him, looking completely stupid. "Why are you guys here?" He grunted while he walked towards bar and perched on the stool, facing Swayam and Sharon. Sharon shrugged and flopped on the sofa, Rey looked at Swayam who was rubbing his jaw. "Well, Aunty called and informed us that Uncle finally arrived." Swayam said, looking at Rey carefully. Rey's features hardened when Swayam mentioned his father. His palm closed into a tight fist. His eyes were lost but they were hardened like he was remembering an unpleasant memory. Swayam looked at Sharon who was worried for Rey. He was close to loose his temper.

"Yeah. . . He finally had time to come here." Rey said in a gruff voice, trying to control his temper. Swayam and Sharon opted to keep quiet. Rey was like a ticking bomb, one more word and he was near to explode.

Taani closed the tap and wiped her hands with towel. She turned and almost jumped seeing Gayatri exactly in front of her, looking at her with a stern face. Gayatri sighted and shook her head.

"I told you already Taani, there is no need to do kitchen work, we have staff just tell them, they will do it. Please, I request you this time." Gayatri shook her head as Taani tried to explain her. "There is no room for discussion." Gayatri said firmly, Taani shut her mouth and nodded. Gayatri sighted and patted her head with her warm hand. Taani sighted and walked out of kitchen. The moment she stepped into living room, she felt the tension in the air. She felt Swayam and Sharon's eyes on her but she ignored them and looked at Rey who was looking furious. Before she could stop herself, she murmured his name.

"Rey. . ."

His head snapped towards her. It didn't go unnoticed by Swayam that Rey visibly relaxed when Taani got his attention. He cleared his throat. "We will meet you at event, alright?" Swayam asked Rey. Rey looked away from Taani and nodded. Taani watched as Sharon gave her a smile and took her leave with Swayam who gave her a curt nod. Taani turned her head only to meet Rey's face inches away from her. She gulped as his eyes roamed over her, a foreign but comforting feeling washing over her. She slightly jumped when his fingers touched her wrist, gripping it gently, he pulled her towards him. A mere inch between them, Taani gulped, her cheeks tainted with slight pink color as his fingers intertwined with hers. Her heart thumped loudly, clearly. She could feel the beats in her throat. She blinked as he leaned back, his breath fanning her face slightly.

"Be ready at 5. Wear something comfortable. We are going somewhere." Rey murmured as he stepped back, slowly taking his time to separate their intertwined fingers. He brushed his fingers for last time on her knuckle and turned on his heels, walking past her.

"Sure." Taani mumbled, slightly dazed.

Taani fiddled with her fingers, wringing them together, squeezing them tightly again releasing them. She glanced at Rey who was driving, his features were relaxed. Once in a while, he would look at her, intently with intensity and then would return to driving. Taani never dared to look up. But, over all, there was no tension between them. Instead, for the first time, she was relaxed, not that she was scared ever but she used to be nervous, a lot nervous. Their confession somehow made them more comfortable with each other. And, she loved every second of it. Not even 24 hrs were passed she had said yes to 'a chance to them' and she is feeling. . . Good. . . May be, pleased. Taani looked out of window, they were passing the city boarder. This was surely not date, she remembered Swayam mentioning about an event. She shrugged slightly and exhaled slowly, enjoying the evening.

Rey pressed the break as signal turned into red. He glanced at Taani, who was leaning her head on the window, her eyes slightly dropping, almost slipping into slumber. Something stirred inside him at the sight. His eyes trained on her, from the waterfall of those brown silky curls which framed her delicate features to the casual wears she was wearing. After a long time, she wore jeans and a floral top. Simple yet beautiful. There was slight touch of make-up otherwise nothing much. Rey turned his attention from Taani who was now sleeping silently. He looked at the green signal and accelerated the car. He gulped as he drove, his mind swirled with so many emotions.

She simply amazed him.

How can one woman bring those unknown emotions? Around her, all emotions surfaced which he buried deep down, when Kia broke his heart. But, this woman, his wife in such a short span of time, was able to make him feel like this. Miserable, Jealous, pleasant and only she knows what more she can bring out of him.

He sighted quietly as he parked the car, pulling the hand break. He leaned back on headrest and inclined his head towards her. She was still sleeping silently. His heart skipped as he looked at her innocent relaxed face. He unbuckled the seatbelt, putting his elbow on her seat, he leaned forward, his hand extending towards her to shake her out of sleep but stopped midway. His fingers curled back. His fingers itched to touch her. He shook his head and sighted heavily.

"What are you doing to me Taani?" He muttered. He pulled his hand back and ran through his hair. He looked at the time on dashboard and turned towards Taani.

"Taani. . ." He whispered. He blinked when she stirred slightly, her eyebrows knotting slightly.

"Taani. . ." He tried again. This time, she frowned and let out a frustrated groan. He chuckled but stopped immediately when her eyes sprang open. Taani blinked, trying to see clearly. When she regained her focus her eyes went wide as her eyes fell on an amused Rey.

"Come on, we are here." He said, as he unlocked the doors and hopped out of the car. She blinked and hurriedly clipped out the seatbelt. Rey opened the door and extended his hand towards her. Taani looked up at him and then at his hand. Her gazed swept over their surrounding, no media was present and since it was an open garden there was no chance for hidden cameras or reporters. This time he didn't do it for some photos or to show media that he cares for his wife.

He did it because he wanted her to know that he care for her.

She looked up at him and met his eyes, her small hand slide into his big one, fitting it perfectly. Rey tightened his fingers with her and helped her out of the car. Rey put a hand on her back as he closed the door, his eyes never leaving hers. She gulped as he rubbed his thumb on the back of her hand and motioned her to come with him. She wet her lips as they walked together, hand in hand. The small gesture made her heart swell. For the first time, someone showed her affection, it might look small gesture but it meant something for her. Her Bhai was never seen with her because for some reason he didn't want people to find about his sister. Though Rey showed affection but because of the situations they were in. But, this time, it wasn't for media. He wanted to hold her hand.

They stopped in front of a small get. Rey leaned forward but didn't leave her hand. With other hand, he grasped the chain hanging on the small gate and banged on the slightly rusty gate. Taani blinked as she heard some noises behind the gate. She looked around, her eyes fell on the board.

Harsha Niketan

Taani blinked several times and turned towards Rey, surprised as well as confused. The rusty gates were suddenly pulled inside and an elder man in his late 70s stood there, nodding at Rey, with a pleasant smile. He gave the same smile to Taani with a fatherly affection. Taani's lips curled into a small smile.

"Come in Rey, you should have just come in. All are waiting by the way." The elder man said with his slightly weak gruff voice. Rey chuckled and nodded. He turned towards Taani and then at elder man.

"Sure." He said while he squeezed her hand gently. They followed the elder man who was leading them. As they walked forwards, the noise turned into clear high pitches voices. The voices became more clearer as they entered the garden which was filled with bunch of children. Taani was astounded as she looked at children playing around. She turned to Rey who was beaming at the small boy who was running towards them, other more four following behind him. Rey's hand loosened and Taani stepped back as tiny feet were running towards them, circling around Rey. She looked with wide eyes as Rey was tackled on the ground suddenly with a girl on top of his chest, grinning, showing her two missing tooth. Taani bite her lips to prevent from giggling as the girl giggled and bounced on Rey babbling excitedly about something while Rey winced as she bounced on him like there was no tomorrow.

She looked up when Swayam and Sharon came panting, behind them were some more 20 children.

"Ouch. . . Sia, calm down or I will eat you." Rey growled as he picked up the girl sitting on him and stood up. He exhaled as he stood up with the girl in his arms.

"Okay, all of you calm down." He said gently but firmly and surprisingly all calmed down immediately. Swayam let out a relived sigh and walked towards an elder couple who were watching it from a distance. Sharon came and stood beside Taani and gave her a small smile.

The group of children was huddled together as he bent down and put the girl down and murmured something only children could hear.

"It's kind of impossible to believe, but he is great with them." Taani glanced at Sharon as she continued. "I know, Kia lied to you. And may be many people from industry, don't have a great opinion about him. But, the more you get to know him the more you will know that he is just a normal guy. The attitude faade and everything is just fake." Sharon smiled. "Just give him chance Taani. We are not blind here." Sharon said when Taani tried to interrupt. Sharon patter her shoulder and walked away, probably towards Swayam.

I have already given him a chance and may be I might have given him my heart too. . .Taani sighted.

Suddenly, she became aware of eyes on hers. She looked up and stepped back surprised as every little head was turned towards her along with Rey.

"And, this is my wife, you can call her as Taani." He said as he stepped out of the circle of the children and stood beside her. Everyone looked at her with curious eyes.

"Is she cool like you?" Sia asked as she rocked back and forth on her heels.

"Hmm. . . That we need to find out." Rey mused as everyone grinned evily. Taani looked confused as Swayam appeared beside Rey with an apologetic look on his face with Sharon behind them saying something NO to children. But, it was too late, the children had already circled her and attacked her, knocking her down.

Rey looked surprised when Taani giggled along with all the children, Sia in her lap who was talking to her non stop from past hour and Taani listened to her patiently. She never looked like she was irritated instead she looked like she was enjoying. It was almost near to dark. The lights were on in the garden. Rey smiled as a little boy clung to his pants, pouting. He picked up the small boy and ruffled his hair. He looked at Taani who was looking at them.

"Hey golu, how are you?" Rey asked gently while pulling the boy's cheek gently.

"I'm goolll..." The boy said while popping his thumb into his mouth.

Taani watched as Rey shook his head and pulled out the thumb out of his mouth. It turns out to be, Harsha Niketan was created for orphan children. They were supported in all matters, all children were sent to school and if are interested then they were sent to sports and any other activities also. She stood up as children ran away from her, their attention was probably on the ball bought by Swayam who was now playing with them. She wrapped her hands around herself as she watched all playing, smiling. Unfortunately, she never had such happy childhood. Even those children had lost their parents, they are smiling and are happy. Her childhood wasn't that good, even she had her Bhai. She exhaled as wind blew past her, calming her. Suddenly her heart stopped, her skin crawled slightly as she felt presence behind her. Her mind went frenzy. She didn't have to turn and look at the person. Her heart thudding like it was never going to see blood was only thing she needed to know that Rey was standing behind her.

Taking a deep breath she turned and faced him. His arms immediately wrapped around her waist. His lips brushed her forehead. Taani looked up as Rey hovered over her, gazing down at her with a twinkle in his brown eyes. Her eyes drank the sight of him, she never saw him like this. Like, he was just a plain Reyaansh Singhania. No superstar before his name. His hands rubbed her back gently as he kept staring at her, pulling her slowly towards him. He removed his one hand from her back and grasped a thick silky strand in his fingers and tucked it behind her ear, making Taani's breath uneven. She had her hands on his chest without knowing. They kept gazing at each other, not at all bothered by the children who were now a bit distance away from them. Taani gulped when she felt his slight quickened heart beats just below her hand. She felt him stroke her cheek with his fingers.

"Thank you for bringing me here." Taani breathed out as Rey touched his forehead slightly to her. Taani bite her lips, exhaling, clenching his shirt in her hand.

"I am glad. . ." He paused as he rubbed his nose with hers. Everything was silent, Swayam shook his head and ordered children to follow him inside along with Sharon, leaving Taani and Rey alone in garden.

Taani craned her neck slightly. Rey glanced at her lips then met her eyes. Taani gulped as he leaned and captured her lips in a small but sweet kiss. He pecked them once again and moved towards her cheek, planting a kiss below her ear, he murmured "I am glad. They are very happy to meet you. . ." He felt her shudder. And so I am. He said the unsaid part in his mind.

So, here I am. Back!!! 😆 Yeah My exams finished on 9th. But, as I mentioned earlier, I needed a break and so I took. Though, I seriously needed it. I don't know, how this chapter is. I hope, its not crap. I didn't add much as I am writing it after a long time and other than that its been long time I have updated, so I started on a sweet note. Hope so, it was good, I need some confidence boost. 🥱
